Chapter 672
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 672:
As much as Madisynâs words dripped with sarcasm, they were quite true. The only reason she had managed to snag that manâs attention tonight was because of Hectorâs influence.
While Tatiana was still thinking of a way out, Madisyn cut her off with a cold voice. âYour minuteâs up. Looks like youâve got no will to live.â
The dagger moved closer, slicing through the air toward her face.
In terror, Tatiana dropped to her knees. âWait! Iâll tell youâIâll tell you! I overheard someone say that Andrewâs already in Aswil⦠heâs marrying the princess there!â
Madisynâs hand trembled ever so slightly as her gaze locked onto Tatiana. âIs this information reliable? Why would he marry the princess of Aswil?â
âMaybe the princess needs his help or something. I donât know the details.â Tatiana sobbed. If she had known mocking Madisyn today would lead to this, she never would have come.
Without another word, Madisyn left the lounge. As she stepped into the corridor, she ran straight into Susan, who grabbed her hand anxiously.
âMadisyn, the engagement is canceled!â
âIs that so?â Madisyn replied softly. It made sense, as Andrew clearly wasnât going to show up today.
Susan glanced at Madisyn, clearly struggling to get the words out. âAndrew⦠heâs getting engaged to the princess of Aswil! Did you know about this?â
Madisynâs eyes widened in disbelief, shock rippling through her.
Had the news spread that fast?
Susan pulled out her phone, showing her a news article. It was from a global site and featured pictures of Andrew and Savannah together, confirming everything.

âThe news just broke, courtesy of a respected media outlet in Aswil. Whatâs going on with Andrew? How did he suddenly end up there, and why is he marrying the princess?â Susan exclaimed, her brow furrowed with worry as she stared anxiously at Madisyn. âThereâs got to be something shady going on!â
If Susan had figured out that something shady was going on, then Madisyn surely was aware as well. Madisyn nodded, her expression serious. âThis has to be something Savannah orchestrated. I need to go to Aswil myself.â
âIâll come with you!â
âNo need for that. Your father is still in the hospital. Take good care of him; itâll be easier if I go alone.â A flicker of cold determination gleamed in Madisynâs eyes.
Susan hesitated, wanting to argue but realizing her lack of martial skills. Even if she joined, she wouldnât be of much help. She handed Madisyn a packet. âThere are some hypnotic herbs in here. They might come in handy if things get dicey.â
Madisyn accepted it, her gaze softening with gratitude.
As they made their way back to the engagement venue, they found that guests were already leaving. Damari was so furious that he had thrown his cane across the room, and Elaine and Dane were doing their best to soothe him.
