Chapter 677
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 677:
âI have no idea what youâre talking about,â Madisyn replied calmly.
Patty snorted, crossing her legs with a smug air of superiority. âDid you really think Iâm that naive? You said all that just to rile me up so Iâd bring you inside, didnât you? My cousin is such a noble woman; how could she ever talk to someone like you?â A dangerous glint flickered in Pattyâs eyes.
Madisyn met her gaze coolly. âDo you remember the racing competition a few days ago?â
Of course, Patty remembered. It was the first global racing event held in Aswil. She had even attended as a spectator.
âSavannah was there. Iâm a racer for the YM Club. Donât you think I mightâve crossed paths with her?â Madisyn said, her tone casual, almost dismissive.
Suddenly, it dawned on Patty. Savannah had always had her eyes on Andrew, a member of the YM Club, so she must have approached him back then.
Pattyâs gaze towards Madisyn changed.
Madisynâs eyes gleamed with a touch of disdain. âBecause I met Savannah once, I know you and your cousin are leagues apart. Your mothers may be sisters, but the distance between you two is enormous.â
Patty stiffened, bristling at the remark.
âYes, Savannahâs a princess, noble as ever, but Iâm no less. Iâm the daughter of Aswilâs most powerful financial conglomerate!â Patty proclaimed loudly. âSavannah might not even have as much freedom as I do. I can live wherever I wantâinside or outside of the palaceâbut sheâs stuck in there all the time.â
Madisyn raised an eyebrow, amusement flickering in her eyes. âAnd what makes you, an outsider, think you have the right to live in the palace?â
Patty lifted her chin, her pride unmistakable. âSavannahâs father can compete for the throne because of my familyâs backing. Of course, he has to give me a house in the palace. Hmph, before your death, Iâll let you take in the view.â
Madisyn murmured softly, âSo, the financial conglomerates really hold that much powerâ¦â

âOf course! Right now, Aswil is under our thumb. Once Savannahâs father rises to power, weâll hold even greater influence,â Patty boasted, her arrogance spilling over. She couldnât tolerate anyone saying she was inferior to Savannah, especially since everything Savannah had was thanks to her family and the other conglomeratesâ backing. Without their support, Savannahâs father wouldnât even stand a chance against the current king.
Savannah should be grateful to her.
They cruised through the bustling city streets and finally pulled up to the palace, whose entrance was heavily guarded.
Patty rolled down the window, and the security guard waved them through without hesitation.
Patty shot Madisyn a proud look, while Madisyn feigned surprise.
âSo, you really can just waltz right in!â
