Chapter 679
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 679:
She slipped into a room, peeking around the door. Seeing no one outside, she stepped into the dim hallway. She expected Andrew to be in the building.
Meticulously checking each room, she found no trace of him. By the time she reached the last room, she opened the door and saw a familiar figure standing by the floor-to-ceiling window.
The man had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, impeccably dressed in a black suit. He stood in the shadows, the absence of light lending him an air of mystery and restraint, bathed in a dim glow.
At that moment, he exuded a faint melancholy that stirred an inexplicable curiosity. Madisyn felt her eyes redden slightly as she stepped inside.
Not bothering to conceal her footsteps, she drew Andrewâs attention almost immediately. He turned his head toward her.
Their eyes locked, and Madisyn held her breath, waiting for his reaction. But Andrewâs expression shifted, his voice turning stern and icy. âWho are you?â
Madisyn had envisioned their reunion, but she hadnât anticipated such a cold greeting. For a moment, she was taken aback, realizing that he seemed somewhat different from the man she remembered.
His usual hairstyle, a casual three-seven part with bangs, had been replaced by a slicked-back look that revealed a smooth, prominent forehead, giving him an aloof and sharp appearance that radiated upper-class nobility.
Madisynâs first thought was that perhaps someone else was in the room, but she quickly sensed that they were alone.
âWhat happened?â Madisyn asked, her tone steady and calm.
âWho are you? How did you get in here?â The manâs voice was cold, his eyes devoid of warmth, as if she were nothing more than a stranger. In that moment, understanding washed over Madisyn, and her heart sank like a stone.
âDid you lose your memory?â she asked, her voice coming out hoarse, the sound unfamiliar to her ears.
She had assumed that Andrew had been brought here against his will, but she hadnât anticipated that he might have lost his memory.

âWhat are you talking about? I donât know you at all,â Andrew replied, towering over her, a head taller than Madisyn. His long, strong fingers lifted her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze.
It was a beautiful face, yet Andrew was certain he had never seen it before.
Madisynâs heart sank even further. Not only had he lost his memories, but she feared that false ones might have been planted in their place.
Normally calm and unfazed, she now found herself completely at a loss in this unsettling situation.
âDo you remember this?â Madisyn asked, raising her hand. A delicate ring glinted on her fingerâthe one Andrew had given her.
Andrew furrowed his brows tightly. He subconsciously raised his hand, revealing a similar ring on his finger. However, the ring he wore was a token of love between him and Savannah.
âYou also have this ringâ¦â Andrew murmured, confused.
