Chapter 680
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 680:
âAndrew, your memory has been altered by someone,â Madisyn said gently. âIâm your fiancée.â She took his hand, trying to jog his memory. âYou were brought here by Savannahâs people. Their goal is to make you marry Savannah, so they can gain control over Aswil more easily.â
Suddenly, the sound of multiple footsteps echoed in the hallway. It was clear that the footsteps belonged to a group of people. Their approach meant only one thing: her presence had been discovered.
Madisyn was alone, and she knew she couldnât fight off the royal guards on her own. She had no choice but to leave Andrew behind.
Before she fled, she looked at him and said, âIâll come back for you. If you miss me, just look at your ring.â Taking a deep breath, she opened the window, took a quick glance back at the room, and jumped out.
The moment she jumped, the guards appeared at the door, with Savannah leading the group.
âSomeone has been here,â Savannah said with a grave expression. She turned on the lights and scanned the room for any signs of another presence. When she didnât find anything, her gaze fixed on the window.
She was about to walk over to it when Andrew spoke up. âNo one has been here. Iâm a little tired. I want to rest.â
Andrew was confused. He didnât understand why he was covering for the woman he had just met.
Savannahâs eyes narrowed, scrutinizing Andrew suspiciously. âYouâre lying. You were talking to someone just now.â
She walked toward him, staring at his face with a mix of hurt and accusation. âYou promised youâd be good to me forever. Weâre about to get engaged. How can you lie to me?â
When Andrew heard these words, memories of him and Savannah flooded his mind. Although they had only met six months ago, their bond felt strong. He had fallen in love with her at first sight, and it had taken him so much effort to finally win her over.
He had vowed to himself that he would treat her well for the rest of his life. How could he break that promise now?

Andrew felt conflicted. He instinctively asked, âHave you ever lied to me?â
A flicker of surprise crossed Savannahâs eyes, but it was fleeting. She quickly replied, âLie to you? How could I do that?â
She leaned in closer and added in a soft, persuasive voice, âWeâll be engaged soon. Arenât we the most important people to each other?â
Andrew fell silent.
Savannahâs expression softened. She held his hand and said with concern, âMaybe meeting my father and the others these past few days has worn you out. You should rest now.â
Andrew nodded, still not saying anything. Savannah squeezed his hand slightly, smiled, and left with her guards.
Meanwhile, Madisyn had successfully landed downstairs. She immediately knocked out a guard nearby and changed into his uniform. This was her only way to leave the palace safely.
