Chapter 69
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 69:
This moment could only be described as historic.
Everyone was so touched that they shed tears of joy.
Madisyn treated her employees well, generously increasing everyoneâs bonuses.
At that time, the staff of Natural Beauty came together as a solid team.
They collaborated seamlessly. The employees were happy, in stark contrast to the disheartened staff at Miggie Skincare.
Following Denaliâs scandal, Miggie Skincare felt the repercussions. Moreover, many customers noted that Miggie Skincareâs products were inferior to Natural Beautyâs and were also more expensive.
Josie was utterly drained. As she walked past the research and development department and saw Michelle and others chatting, her expression soured.
âAre you still chatting during work hours?â Josie entered and remarked sarcastically. âDidnât you say this formula was excellent? Why canât our products compete with Natural Beautyâs?â
Michelle quickly responded, âMiss Reed, itâs just that Natural Beautyâs sales outperformed ours this time. Iâm confident our products are superior.â
âReally? Then we should see some results. Why havenât we seen any positive feedback?â
Josie suddenly put pressure on Michelle, saying, âI didnât hire you out of charity. If thereâs no significant progress in the next few days, you might as well pack up.â
Michelle and the others were taken aback.
After Josie left, someone murmured, âIs Miss Reed taking her frustrations out on us?â

âWhy did Natural Beauty become so popular all of a sudden?â Michelle clenched her teeth.
Mina frowned, saying, âWas Miss Reed serious about firing us? If she does, weâll only get our base salary, not even our bonuses.â
âWhat should we do?â Michelle was visibly anxious. âBut we arenât in sales.â
An idea struck Mina. âSusan went to the store to sell their products. We could do the same. It seems some people think weâre just dead weight here anyway.â
Michelle felt hopeless. She had to be a saleswoman?
She had never been pushed to sell products at Natural Beauty! But desperate times called for desperate measures.
Unfortunately, their efforts didnât yield positive results.
Upon their return, they faced another round of harsh criticism from the director.
âDid you actually leave work to sell products during office hours? Have you lost your minds? I felt sorry for you because you left your jobs at Natural Beauty. But I didnât realize you were this stupid. Donât leave until youâve completed all your tasks.â
Michelle and her group were all shocked, staring at the mountain of work before them.
How could they possibly finish all this work today? They had never had to stay late at Natural Beauty.
Suddenly, they found themselves longing for the days at Natural Beauty. If they hadnât left, they would be receiving substantial bonuses this month without the need for overtime or enduring being scolded.
Mina looked around and could tell what everyone was thinking. âLetâs not dwell on the past. Although our sales havenât been great lately, overall, Miggie Skincareâs sales are still better than Natural Beautyâs. Weâll get better.â
Meanwhile, over at the Chapman familyâs entertainment company, a meeting was taking place.
âMiss Chapman, have you finished the documents yet?â
âMiss Chapman, how should we handle the fallout from Denaliâs situation?â
Several managers bombarded Jenna with questions. Overwhelmed, she slammed her hand on the table and exclaimed, âThis is your job. Why are you asking me?â
The managers were stunned.
Jenna felt justified. âThe company employs you because youâre supposed to figure out how to handle these issues. Donât come to me with these questions anymore!â
âBut Miss Chapman, you need to sign this.â One of the managers timidly extended a document.
Jenna gave it a brief glance. Truthfully, she didnât understand any of it. Lukas used to manage all these matters. Damn, why hadnât he come crawling back to her yet?
Jenna looked at the document and signed it without further review. After all, she assumed the managers had thoroughly vetted everything. Surely, there couldnât be any issues.
The day went by, and Jenna had a relatively easy time. Though Denaliâs situation was irritating, those were her own personal actions. If Jenna pinned the blame on Denali and then fired her, it wouldnât significantly impact the company. Still, it was unfortunate to lose five million dollars.
As closing time approached, Jeffry arrived.
âJenna!â
Seeing Jeffryâs grim expression, Jenna quickly stood up and inquired, âDad, whatâs wrong?â
