Chapter 725
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 725:
Madisyn pulled him into a tight embrace without saying a word. âI know what youâre thinking, but that wasnât your fault. Iâm honestly amazed at how quickly you got your memory back,â she murmured softly.
A warm tear fell onto her shoulder, causing her to flinch. She glanced up, only to see Andrew hiding his face in the curve of her neck.
Her collar slowly grew damp, and a soft ache filled her chest. âPlease, donât be sad. It hurts me too. Youâve done nothing wrong, and you donât need to bear the guilt. Iâm just so glad youâre back with your memoriesâI was afraid youâd never remember meâ¦â
âThat wonât happen,â Andrew replied, his voice thick with emotion. âActually, the first time I laid eyes on you after I lost my memory, I felt somethingâsomething I couldnât explain.â It felt as though his heart had recognized Madisyn even before his mind could.
Maybe hypnosis could twist his memories, but it couldnât erase the deep, unmistakable feeling that had always tied them together.
With a soft smile, Madisyn gave his shoulder a comforting pat. âThat means a lot to me. It feels like, somehow, we can always find our way back to each other.â
âHow are your wounds?â Andrew asked, his concern evident as he reached over to check on her injuries.
Madisyn stopped him gently. âIâm feeling a lot better now. It doesnât hurt as much as it did.â
âJust let me take a look.â
âNo,â Madisyn replied firmly. She was reluctant to show her vulnerable side, worried it would only make Andrew feel sadder.
But even though Andrew had been rejected, she still noticed a hint of sadness in his eyes. Unable to bear seeing him in such distress, she sighed and took his hand. âI really am doing better, I swear. Donât forget, Iâm a doctor. I wonât let myself end up with a scar.â
As Clarissa sat in the car, she looked down at the contract in her hands, her fingers gently tracing the embossed seal.
At first glance, the contract seemed perfect.

However, an unsettling feeling of doubt prompted her to seek a professionalâs verification of its authenticity as soon as she returned home.
âThis seal is a forgery,â the expert declared bluntly.
In an instant, Clarissaâs face shifted, her shock evident. It became clear that Andrew had been right all alongâYolanda was certainly trying to deceive her.
The presence of the counterfeit seal meant that if her family proceeded with construction on the land, Yolanda could easily take them to court at any time.
What a ruthless move!
Despite the façade of sisterhood, Yolandaâs actions revealed that she did not truly see Clarissa as family in any meaningful way.
A wave of anger surged within her once again.
Noticing the change in Clarissaâs expression, Patty leaned in closer and asked, âMom, whatâs wrong? You look really upset.â
âPatty, itâs time we stop supporting Yolanda and her family,â Clarissa said, her voice tight with frustration.
