Chapter 727
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 727:
With a soft smile, Madisyn gave his shoulder a comforting pat. âThat means a lot to me. It feels like, somehow, we can always find our way back to each other.â
âHow are your wounds?â Andrew asked, his concern evident as he reached over to check on her injuries.
Madisyn stopped him gently. âIâm feeling a lot better now. It doesnât hurt as much as it did.â
âJust let me take a look.â
âNo,â Madisyn replied firmly. She was reluctant to show her vulnerable side, worried it would only make Andrew feel sadder.
But even though Andrew had been rejected, she still noticed a hint of sadness in his eyes. Unable to bear seeing him in such distress, she sighed and took his hand. âI really am doing better, I swear. Donât forget, Iâm a doctor. I wonât let myself end up with a scar.â
Though Waylon frequently grumbled about Andrew, Madisyn had noticed the worry in his eyes each time he did.
Waylonâs face flushed. âWhy would I be worried about him? Iâm just annoyed that heâs made us waste so much time and effort!â
Andrew pulled Waylon into a sudden embrace but quickly let go, saying, âWaylon, thank you. My memories have fully returned now, and Savannah and her family will pay for what theyâve done.â
Waylon cleared his throat, his anger softening. âOf course, they need to pay! And for the record, I wasnât worried about you!â
He maintained a serious expression, but Andrew smirked. âAlright, you werenât worried about me.â
Waylon snorted, his tone shifting awkwardly. âHave you had lunch?â
âNot yet,â Andrew answered.
âIâll have someone bring you food,â Waylon muttered before striding out.
Madisyn had watched the whole scene with amusement, surprised to see this rare side of Waylon.
Soon, Waylon returned with lunch for Andrew, who suggested they eat in the living room together, cherishing the chance to share a meal.
It had been a long time since theyâd all eaten together. Madisyn took the opportunity to inform their parents about Andrewâs regained memories, assuring them they could finally stop worrying.
Outside, the sun bathed the world in a warm glow, and everyoneâs spirits lifted like never before.
Meanwhile, Savannahâs team had located the hypnotist. He resisted, using all his strength to hypnotize a few of them, but was ultimately captured.
âWhy do you want to kill me?â the hypnotist asked, bewildered. Heâd been nothing but dedicated to Savannahâs cause.
âYou claimed the memory replacement was irreversible, yet that man has regained his memories. Do you realize how humiliated this has made our princess?â a man in black replied in a chilling tone.
The hypnotistâs face darkened. âThatâs impossible! Unless⦠someone with powers like mine restored his memory! You must have overlooked something!â
âHmph! Possible or not, youâre the reason the princessâs plan failed,â the man in black said, striking swiftly.
