Chapter 758
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 758:
âSo what? Fulfilling this contract would bring in profits that rival last yearâs total earnings! Itâs a no-brainer.â
âIâm all for it! We need international partnerships, and fast.â
Dane, watching the heated debate unfold, finally turned his gaze to Hector. âWhat do you think, Mr. Lyons?â
Hector didnât hesitate. âI see no reason not to move forward. Turning down an opportunity like this would be pure folly.â
A senior executive raised a concern. âBut the scale of materials they need is massive. Iâm worried about potential setbacks.â
âIf there were no risks, everyone would be jumping at it. But how do you think the Johns Group got to where it is today?â Hector replied.
Hector responded with conviction. âItâs all about having the courage to face challenges head-on. Playing it safe too often only leads to stagnation. In this world, big rewards are earned through big risks.â
His words carried weight, and the senior executive fell silent for a moment, clearly contemplating the truth in them, before speaking up again. âBut if we canât deliver the materials, the penalty fees will be astronomical! We could end up bankrupt!â The bigger the potential gain, the greater the risk.
If not for the monstrous penalties, the decision wouldâve been easy.
Hectorâs voice remained steady. âThatâs only if we fail to deliver. As it stands, weâre fully capable of securing the materials. So why dwell on penalty fees? Our focus should be on completing the project.â
âBut if something goes wrong⦠I still think itâs far too risky.â The senior executive, unconvinced, shifted his gaze toward Dane.
Dane thought for a moment, his eyes narrowing in thought. âYouâve got a valid point. There are other projects we could take on now. Thereâs no need to dive into something with this much risk.â
âMr. Johns, thatâs a brilliant decision,â the senior executive said, his voice filled with eagerness.
Hector let out a sigh, his tone resigned. âFine, since Daneâs made his call, weâll go with it.â

The others grumbled under their breath but wisely kept their complaints to themselves, and the meeting came to a close.
Dane returned to his work.
Just then, the secretary entered his office with a cup of coffee. He took a sip, his brow furrowing slightly. âWhy does this taste so watered down?â
âMr. Johns, weâre running low on coffee beans. Iâll pick up some tomorrow.â
Dane gave a small nod. âAlright, you can go now.â
The secretary quietly exited, leaving him to his tasks. As he sat there, though, a wave of sudden drowsiness hit him.
Could it be that the coffee wasnât strong enough?
Daneâs eyelids grew heavy, and he decided a quick nap was in order to recharge before diving back into his work.
Meanwhile, after the meeting, Hector slipped into a sleek black outfit and departed.
