Chapter 788
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 788:
Colson looked even more surprised, as if he wanted to laugh in amusement.
âMr. Johns, you must be joking, right? Havenât we already signed the contract?â
Daneâs brows furrowed in confusion.
âContract? Mr. Gray, maybe youâre mistaken. We didnât sign anything with you.â He wondered if something was wrong with these peopleâs minds.
Colsonâs face darkened.
He took out a document and placed it on the desk.
âMr. Johns, take a look for yourself.â
âWhat is going on with you? Donât tell me you havenât prepared the raw materials for us.â
Dane skimmed the document, and sure enough, it had their companyâs official stamp.
âNo, this canât be right. I donât remember signing anything like this!â His face paled, tension flickering across his features.
âMr. Johns, todayâs the big day for this deal, and now youâre saying youâve never worked with us? Are you seriously trying to pull a fast one on us? I didnât expect the well-respected Johns Group to behave in such a manner.
If you didnât prepare the materials, you shouldâve just owned up to it instead of playing dumb.â Colsonâs voice rose, anger simmering beneath the surface.

His frustration was mirrored by his assistant, who stood beside him with a scowl.
âMr. Johns, Mr. Gray came all the way from Aswil, and this is how you treat him?â
âWhatâs going on?â Hectorâs voice cut through the tension as he entered the room.
âI heard shouting. Whatâs the issue?â
âHector, perfect timing. Tell me, didnât we agree in that meeting not to go ahead with this collaboration?â Dane asked.
Hectorâs brow furrowed in confusion.
âMr. Johns, what are you talking about?â
âTheyâre saying we signed this contract, but I never put my stamp on it! This has to be some kind of forgery,â Dane insisted.
Before Colson could reply, Hector spoke up, his tone calm but firm.
âMr. Johns, have you been so busy that you forgot?â
Dane frowned.
âWhat do you mean by that?â
Hector responded, âI saw you stamp that contract with my own eyes. How can you say you didnât? I even reminded you about the materials recently, and yet you still havenât gotten them ready?â
Dane stared at Hector in disbelief, but Hector pressed on, his tone serious.
