“I didn’t want to say it, but since you keep pushing like you’re trying to slander me… Madisyn, I’m going to be honest—you’re the one who pushed me!” Kristine cried out, tears cascading down her cheeks. “I admit I had my doubts about you during the competition, but that doesn’t give you the right to sabotage my shot at the international competition, does it? I’ve given up so much for this—everyone knows that!”

Lynda remained silent, her expression tangled with emotions.

Elaine took a deep breath, visibly upset. Whether Madisyn was guilty or Kristine was setting her up, the situation left a bad taste in her mouth.

Glenn patted Elaine’s shoulder, his expression hardening as he spoke to Kristine, “I’ll get to the bottom of this. For now, focus on recovering.” With those words, he walked Elaine out of the room.

Dane and Madisyn followed them in silence.

Once they were gone, only Lynda and the servant remained with Kristine.

Kristine, her tears flowing freely now, turned to Lynda. “Aunt, are you doubting me too?”

Madisyn and her parents returned home. The car ride was thick with tension.

Upon arriving, Elaine turned to Madisyn, her gaze soft and motherly. “You should get some rest,” she advised.

Madisyn nodded, and after retreating to her room, she quickly slipped into a deep sleep, exhausted from the stress.

When she awoke, the world had changed.

News of Kristine’s fall had spread online, and accusations against Madisyn were rampant. The internet was abuzz with condemning comments.

“How could someone like Madi, with such questionable morals, be a dance master?”

“Kristine worked so hard for the competition, and this is how she’s treated?”

“Talent doesn’t excuse awful behavior—she shouldn’t represent our country!”

Public opinion was overwhelmingly in favor of Kristine, leaving Madisyn to face a storm of hate.

Madisyn skimmed through the comments, a dark glint flashing in her eyes. Kristine had thrown herself down the stairs, willing to frame her to ruin her reputation.

Why did Kristine harbor such deep hatred?

Sighing, Madisyn made her way downstairs, where she found Elaine and Glenn talking.

Elaine’s face was etched with distress. “I never imagined things would spiral out of control like this. Was adopting Kristine a mistake?”

“Don’t dwell on it,” Glenn responded. “We can’t control everything.”

Spotting Madisyn, Elaine quickly composed herself. “Madisyn, pack your things. You’ll head to the competition with your aunt.”

Madisyn nodded but said, “I want to see Kristine first.”

Elaine hesitated before agreeing, “Alright, go ahead.”

In the hospital, the moment Madisyn stepped inside Kristine’s room, she was nearly slapped in the face. She managed to dodge just in time.

“How dare you show your face here!” Josie shouted, her eyes blazing with fury. “Look at what you’ve done to Kristine!”

“Who says I did this?” Madisyn replied icily.

“If not you, then who? Do you expect me to believe Kristine threw herself down the stairs to frame you?” Josie scoffed.

“I need to talk to Kristine. Alone,” Madisyn demanded.

“I’m not leaving you two alone while she’s in this condition!” Josie retorted.

Before Madisyn could respond, a bodyguard entered and swiftly escorted Josie out of the room.
