Chapter 97
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 97:
âI still think you have a good chance of taking first place,â Lynda said, her eyes holding a spark of hope as she gazed at Madisyn.
Madisyn replied, âI believe in my shot at this too.â
Lynda chuckled softly, her nerves easing at the sight of Madisynâs unwavering poise.
âDid you hear about the Dance Museum in this city? We should check it out.â
Intrigued, Madisyn nodded in agreement. Together, they headed off in the car.
As the cityscape faded into a quilt of modest homes, the museumâs remote location lent an eerie calm to their drive. Approaching the destination, Lyndaâs instincts screamed a warning.
âThe car aheadâitâs out of control!â she cried, her eyes wide as the vehicle veered directly toward them.
Lyndaâs hands were quick on the wheel, and she dodged a collision by mere inches. But as the car circled back aggressively, Lyndaâs gut tightenedâthis was no accident.
âTheyâre targeting us. They must be from Mafelen, trying to stop you from winning,â Lynda said, her breaths quick and sharp.
Madisynâs eyes flicked to the rearview mirror, spotting the menacing car tailing them. Without a word, she reached over, seizing the wheel.
âIâm taking over.â
Startled, Lynda met Madisynâs resolute stare, then scrambled into the back seat.
With fierce determination, Madisyn floored the accelerator, widening the gap. But their relief was short-lived as another black vehicle emerged, charging straight at them.
Lynda clutched her seat, her heart pounding. âThose people actually sent more than one car to kill us?â

The determination to annihilate them was palpable as the attackers pressed their assault. One of the vehicles bore down on them, ready to crash. Lynda shut her eyes, bracing for impact.
But instead of the devastating crash she anticipated, a shocking jolt reverberated through their vehicle. Lyndaâs eyes fluttered open to find Madisyn maneuvering the car with uncanny precision, ramping over the car ahead of them and landing back on the road. The pursuing car slammed into another behind them.
Lyndaâs heart raced as she witnessed reality mirror the fantastical escapes of action films.
But four more black cars appeared ahead, blocking their path. âThese people are relentless,â Lynda muttered, anger flaring.
âIâm calling the police right now,â Lynda declared, her fingers trembling as she dialed.
As the enemy cars tightened their noose, Madisyn braced herself, prepared for another daring maneuver. Yet before she could act, the scene shifted dramatically.
The four menacing vehicles suddenly scattered as if swatted by an unseen force. A cadre of jeeps burst onto the scene, their arrival as sudden as it was forceful, sending the black cars reeling.
Madisyn and Lynda watched, stunned, as the jeeps formed a protective circle around them.
âWho are these people?â Lynda asked, bewildered. Could it be the police?
But the familiar faces emerging from the jeeps brought a surge of relief.
Madisynâs gaze locked onto one man stepping forward, her eyes reddening.
She stepped out of the car and moved toward the figure. Andrew approached swiftly, gripping her shoulders with concern.
âAre you okay?â he asked urgently.
âWeâre fine. How did you find us?â Madisyn inquired, her eyes tracing his face, glowing with intensity.
âI tried calling, but when you didnât answer, I tracked you down,â Andrew replied, his gaze full of relief.
Lynda joined them quickly. âWell, if you hadnât arrived in time, I donât know what wouldâve happened. The attackers are likely from the Mafelen National Dance Association, trying to prevent Madisyn from winningâby any means necessary.â
Andrewâs expression darkened, a storm brewing in his eyes. âThese people will pay for what they did.â
But Madisyn interjected, her voice calm yet firm, âWait, donât do anything just yet. Letâs capture all of them first.â
Her gaze shifted to the assailants in the black cars, considering their next move.
