Chapter 1870
The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford: The Secretly or invisible Rich Man Chapter 1870 âW-we thought you were possessed! After all, you didnât respond to us no matter how much we called out to you! You scared us half to death, you know?â replied the stunned Rey.
Choosing to ignore Reyâs statement, Gerald then hopped off the bed before saying, âRegardless, Iâve just discovered something important!â
Immediately drawing everyoneâs attention in the room, Harold then quickly walked over before asking, âWhat exactly have you discovered?â
Pointing at the handprints on the ceiling, Gerald then replied, âThereâs something wrong with those black handprints!â
Confused, Harold then asked, ââ¦Iâm not quite sure if I followâ¦â
âThink about it. Why would a killer leave such obvious handprints after doing the deed?â replied Gerald.
Upon hearing that, Harold found himself frowning. After thinking for a while, he then replied, ââ¦Are you saying that the killer is trying to mislead us?â
Nodding in response, Gerald then replied, âBingo. Regardless, bring Lord Van Tage in for questioning. I have a sneaking suspicion that Fayâs death is related to him!â
Not even questioning any further, Harold then turned to look at his subordinates before ordering, âSend some of our men out to bring Lord Van Tage in for questioning right this instant!â
Watching as Haroldâs subordinates ran off to do as they were instructed, Rey then inched closer to Gerald before saying, ââ¦Donât you feel that all this is simply too bizarre, brother Geraldâ¦?â
âIt is. After all, I believe that instead of humans, ghosts are the true perpetrators of this crime! Iâm actually telling them to bring Lord Van Tage back to the office to protect him!â whispered Gerald in response.
After hearing that, Rey finally saw the bigger picture.
Since nothing else could be done here at the moment, Gerald then said, âAlright, letâs head back to the Great Council building for now!â
With that, everyone did as Gerald toldâ¦
On their way back to the building, however, Haroldâs phone began ringing.
Answering the call with his other hand, Harold then said, âYes?â
âBad news, sir! Lord Van Tage is deadâ¦!â replied his subordinate.
Upon hearing that, the screeching of tires could instantly be heard as Harold slammed on the brakes.
âWhat? Dead?!â exclaimed the shocked Harold.
From Haroldâs reaction alone, Gerald could already tell that they were too late.
âSo⦠Iâm assuming that the dead man is Lord Van Tage?â said Gerald with a sigh just as Harold was turning to look at him.
Surprised that Gerald could read his mind, Harold quickly snapped out of it before nodding.
âI see⦠Then letâs head to the crime scene immediately!â declared Gerald.
