The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford: The Secretly or invisible Rich Man Chapter 1905
Upon hearing Reyâs question, Stanton immediately chuckled before replying, âYouâll find out once night comes!â
Hearing that, Rey could only shrug in response.
Regardless, it wasnât long before the villagers brought all kinds of food and drinks over to Stantonâs home.
After they placed all the goodies in front of Gerald and his party, Stanton smiled before declaring, âCome, have some food! All of you must be famished and exhausted after traveling such a long way!â
Before Gerald could even say a word, Rey immediately replied, âWell yeah, Iâm starving! Thank you for having us, chief!â
By the time Gerald turned to stare helplessly at Rey, Rey was already busy stuffing his mouth with food. After all, the trio hadnât eaten anything for most of the day, and being a young man, Reyâs appetite was nothing short of voracious. Still, with how quickly he was eating, Gerald felt that it honestly wasnât a stretch that his hunger could rival that of a hungry ghost who hadnât eaten for a centuryâ¦
What was he going to do with this boyâ¦
Shaking his head, Gerald then began eating as well, followed by Yann shortly after.
Stanton himself was smiling at how quickly Rey was munching down on the foodâ¦
After eating for a while, Gerald cleared his throat before asking, âSpeaking of which, chief⦠Do you know of any other caves on this mountainâ¦?â
Surprised by the odd question, Stanton replied, âA⦠cave? Why would you be looking for a cave of all thingsâ¦?â
âWell, the three of us have actually been trying to look for something important⦠From what weâve gathered, that thing can most probably be found in a cave on this mountain!â replied Gerald, making sure not to give too much information away.
âOh? I see! Well, rather than âaâ cave, we have quite a few of them here! Unfortunately, that also means that I donât know which one youâre referring to!â replied Stanton in an apologetic tone. âI see⦠thenâ¦
among them, are there any that are particularly specialâ¦?â asked Gerald.
âSpecial you say⦠Well⦠one cave comes to mind⦠If I recall correctly, the cave had a large wall of stone covering its massive entrance⦠However, I didnât really pry into it since night was soon to come at the timeâ¦â replied Stanton after thinking for a while.
âHmm⦠Do you still remember where that cave is located?â said Gerald, his interest clearly piqued.
âGive me a moment to thinkâ¦â replied Stanton as he began racking his memoryâ¦
Quite a while later, Stenton suddenly raised his head before declaring, âWhile I canât remember where its exact location is, I do recall that two massive pillars stand before the caveâs entrance! You canât miss them!â
While that statement only described what the caveâs entrance looked like, Gerald was just pleased that he received a clue in the first place.
âGot it! Thank you, chief! Weâll start looking for it first thing in the morning!â replied Gerald in a gratuitous tone.
Chuckling in reply, Stanton then said, âYouâre most welcome!â
Following that conversation, it wasnât long before night fell and a bright crescent moon enveloped Moonbeam Village in a calming glowâ¦
