Chapter 2088
The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford: The Secretly or invisible Rich Man Chapter 2088
Analyzing these two points, it was definitely strange that Suke knew about Fujiko getting ambushed by the Hanyu familyâs assassins. There might even be something more to it.
âWhat does this have to do with you?!â Realizing that he had said something wrong, Sukeâs face turned red, but he quickly regained his composure and yelled at Gerald as he pointed at the latter, âIâm warning you again, everything thatâs happening here has nothing to do with you at all! Get out of here as soon as you can, otherwise, you wonât even be able to die in peace!â
âAre you threatening me?â Gerald smiled slightly and asked.
âOf course itâs not a threat! This is simply the last exemption given to you.â Geraldâs nonchalance triggered Suke even further, and he would have for sure fought this man from Weston if it wasnât because they were in the manor.
âAlright, I understand. Now, if thereâs nothing else, you two should leave instead of waiting for Patriarch Takuya to see you and kick you two out himself,â Gerald left them with some sarcastic words as he walked past them slowly with his hands shoved into his pockets.
âThat piece of trash!â Seeing Gerald leave, Suke clenched his fists tightly and was about to dash toward him.
âDonât be rash. You should go back with me first because weâre still members of the family. If this is spread out, it wonât be any good to us!â Futaba Masaru instantly pulled him back and persuaded him in a low and raspy voice.
âGrandpa Masaru, this man, Gerald, is simply too annoying!â Suke didnât dare to go against Masaruâs words and could only stop, but he was still suppressing his anger deep down his chest.
âI want to ask you as well. What is this about Fujiko? How did you know she was ambushed by an assassin from the Hanyu family?â Masaru grabbed Suke and headed toward the outside of the manor as he questioned him. âIâm telling you, Fujiko is still part of our family, and the Hanyu family is our familyâs lifelong rivals. If you have any connections with them, youâre one step into hell!â
âGrandpa Masaru, youâre overthinking it. You witnessed me growing up, and you should know that Iâm not that kind of person! I just heard this from some friends coincidentally!â Suke broke into a cold sweat and quickly explained.
âThat would be for the best. Donât let me discover any connections between you and the Hanyu family.
Remember, weâre just having an internal conflict within the family, so donât get involved with our lifelong rivals. Iâll make sure to settle you by myself if I find out something is going on between you and them!â
Masaru snorted coldly and left Suke behind as he walked forward slowly.
âIâll help you, Grandpa Masaru! â Seeing that, Suke trotted to catch up with him.
Back in the room.
Gerald didnât let their threats bother him at all not trouble his mind, because he already knew that troubles would come if he was protecting Fujiko.
However, Sukeâs words had caught Geraldâs attention. As someone who didnât live in the family manor, he had known about the attempted assassination of Fujiko. This simply sounded too strange. Gerald couldnât help but doubt any connection between him and the Hanyu family. Suke might even have played a part in the attempted assassination.
âLooks like weâll have to investigate Futaba Suke,â Gerald smoked and mumbled to himself, tapping his fingers on the table.
However, this was all just talk. Gerald didnât plan to do anything since Suke didnât pose any sort of threat as of yet. Moreover, he didnât have the time to care about such people. He would definitely look up on it carefully after all the dangers had been eliminated.
After all, the only one in this world who dared to threaten him had already been buried deep down in the earth.
â¦.
The next day.
