The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford:The Secretly Rich Man Novel (Invisible or Poorest) Chapter 390
âCongratulations, Mr. Duffy, for winning a gold keyboard worth 15,000 dollars!â
The host spun the wheel again.
Ding!
âCongratulations toâ¦â
ââ¦â
Three prizes were sent out subsequently.
Ding!
âCongratulations, Mr. Jonathan Ladd! Youâve won an emerald jade bracelet worth 30,000 dollars!â
âAhh!!!â
Montana was dizzy with excitement as she heard the emceeâs announcement.
The audience burst into applause too.
The prize alone was just a part of the raffle.
More importantly, Montana could go up the stage with Jonathan, the same stage which the other big shots stood on. Besides, there were a ton of reporters on the side.
Gosh!
What more could a woman ask for?
Montana was so elated that she even smacked Gerald on the cheek. She was just too excited, and the smack felt like it was no big deal!
âWho will be the one to go home with the grand prize?â
The voice of the emcee echoed loudly, and the crowd fell into a hush.
As the pointer dropped, the crowdâs eyes widened in anticipation.
Ding!
Finally, the pointer stopped moving.
âCongratulations Mr. Crawford, on winning the Mercedes-Benz G500 prize worth 300,000 dollars! Letâs give him a huge round of applause!â
The host yelled in excitement.
âAhhhh!!!â
The crowd screamed.
Of course, the winners for the other prizes were all by random, but as for the main prize, Mr. Crawford was set to win it even though he may not have appreciated it.
Everyone knew the ruffleâs set up.
âAll right, may the winners please come up on stage! Also, Mr. Crawford, if youâve arrived, please come up to the stage as well!â The audience was suddenly quiet again.
Everyoneâs eyes searched everywhere around the hall.
âHurry up, hurry up Jeremy, you can share the stage with Mr. Crawford!â
Montana straightened her dress to hide the wine stains.
She hurriedly took Jonathanâs arm and stood up.
On the other hand, Gerald did not want to keep the others waiting any longer.
He decided he was not going to keep a low profile anymore. He stood up along with Montana and followed them towards the stage.
âF*ck, why are you following us?â
Montana only realized that Gerald was following behind her as she was reaching the stage.
âIâm here to claim my prize!â Gerald replied.
âFck off, no one said your name. That prize is not for you, thatâs for Mr. Crawford, not Gerald, are you fcking blind?â
Montana retorted anxiously.
âOh my, Jonathan, you donât even want to know what just happened earlier. I ran into my ex-students at the hall downstairs. Then, one of the studentâs housekeepers came and called for Mr. Crawford, and this dumb*ss Gerald stood up, even I as a bystander could feel the embarrassed for him!â
âAnd now, heâs trying to get on the stage to receive the prize! If people start making fun of him and find out heâs one of my students, weâll be embarrassed!â
That was all that Montana was concerned about.
âMr. Crawford, please come up the stage!â
This time, Zack Lyle took the stage as the guest of honor.
He looked respectfully at Gerald and called for him.
âMhmm!â
Gerald nodded and did not say much.
He walked up the stage.
Michael Zeke, who was seated at the VIP table below, as well as the other teams of Mayberry International Inc, all stood up and cheered for him.
âMr. Crawford, congratulations!â
âThank you all!â
Gerald smiled blandly.
âF*ck, so he really is Mr. Crawford!â
The entire crowd instantly fell into a pin-drop silenceâ¦
