Chapter 438
The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford:The Secretly Rich Man Novel (Invisible or Poorest) Chapter 438
Recently after Felicity had become famous, several men who were both handsome and rich began stepping up to help her. Once, she had a minor fever but even then, a few young and rich men had driven over to her place to send her medicine in person.
Some of them would even chat with her every night.
Technically, by doing all that for her, those men were already good enough to reach her âpartner standardsâ.
Ordinary Man himself had not spoken much with Felicity for a few months now. She had never met him in person either.
Despite all that, Felicity still felt nothing for the others.
It was definite proof of her admiration toward Ordinary Man.
She had even imagined how he looked, countless times.
However, with every passing clue that she got, it further revealed the fuller picture that Ordinary Man was none other than the person that she had always looked down upon, Gerald. How could she not have complicated feelings about that?
âCould it really be Gerald?â
âIf it is, then is Gerald the one for me? Will I⦠Will I still love him?â
âI honestly canât believe that Iâve fallen for Gerald!â
Such questions and thoughts would fill her mind from the day they last met at the restaurant.
She had been constantly anxious about it, and she was now more anxious than ever with him standing before her.
She couldnât hold herself back anymore so she asked him for the truth.
âAnd what if I were? Would you still like me?â asked Gerald back, a bitter smile on his face.
Felicity bit her lower lip slightly before shaking her head. âI⦠I donât know! I donât know if Iâd be able to like you even if you truly are Ordinary Man!â
Gerald chuckled at this. âYouâre just overthinking this. How on earth could I ever be Ordinary Man?â
Though his voice was calm, his face couldnât fully hide his unease. Gerald was having complicated feelings as well as he looked at Felicity.
Gerald was afraid that meeting her again in the future would be awkward if she knew the truth, so he kept silent about his identity.
After what had happened with Giya, Gerald now knew better not to flirt with other girls if he wasnât determined to give them happiness and good prospects in the future.
He was aware as well, that Felicity would definitely be in great pain and confusion if he admitted to her claim. There was nothing to be gained by doing so.
âI donât buy it! Youâre definitely lying about that!â said Felicity as she stared straight into Geraldâs eyes.
âGerald, please⦠I⦠I just want to hear the truth from you. If you tell me the truth, Iâll⦠Iâll share some information with you! Iâm positive that youâll definitely find the news interesting. How about that?â asked Felicity as she slowly approached Gerald.
âIâm neither Mr. Crawford, nor am I Ordinary Man. There are no lies there. I just won the lottery and it was a great amount of money. If I really were Mr. Crawford, why would I ever keep such a low profile?
Besides, Mr. Crawford comes from a huge family. Weâve been in the same class for the past three years now. Do I look like someone who comes from a huge family?â replied Gerald.
Felicity simply nodded.
Despite that, she still couldnât bring herself to hate Gerald anymore, even if he wasnât Mr. Crawford or Ordinary Man.
ââ¦Fine! Iâll believe what you said for now! Also, are you interested in the information?â she asked while shaking her head to regain her composure.
âWhat happened?â
âHalf a month ago, I attended a function in Yanken. I bumped into a girl there!â
As Felicity said that, she peeked at Gerald. She was curious to see what reaction he would give.
âGo on. Do I know that girl?â asked Gerald.
âOf course you do. Youâre quite close to her as well!â
âI hadnât expected to bump into her there, but hereâs the thing. Sheâs changed drastically! If you ever plan to meet her again, I can guarantee that youâll find yourself very surprised!â
Gerald couldnât help scratching the back of his head in confusion.
âSheâs Xavia! Your ex! Could you already have forgotten about her?â said Felicity when she realized that he still couldnât guess who the girl was.
âXavia?â
It was Geraldâs turn to be shocked this time.
