Chapter 459
The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford:The Secretly Rich Man Novel (Invisible or Poorest) Chapter 459
âI turned off my phone, Ms. Weaver,â Lilian shouted as she ran toward Quartney.
Since Hayward and the others were following them, she was afraid they might get exposed.
The last time Gerald claimed the Ferrari was his, Sharon did not believe him. This time, she had to make it clear.
She stomped over to Gerald and stood in front of Quartney. She glared at Lilian and asked, âWhat are you afraid of, Lilian?â
âMs. Weaver, right? Is this car rented by Lilian?â
âAbsolutely not!â
Lilian tried to make eye contact with Ms. Weaverâit was apparent she was trying to hide something.
Sharon snatched the contract from Ms. Weaver and laughed, âThis is a rental! Look, Hayward! Oh, Ms.
Jung and Douglas, let me humor you guys. I was having some coffee with Hayward today, and this girl called Lilianâ¦â
Sharon showed them the contract smugly while spilling the details from this morningâs incident.
Hayward was envious of Gerald, but after what Sharon said, he felt terrible for Lilian again. Seeing how everyone had witnessed Elena hugging Gerald, this was the only way to get back at him.
It wasnât that surprising that Gerald knew about Elena, seeing how he was Aiden and Yoelâs subordinates.
Everyone eagerly anticipated Lilianâs explanation about the car.
The moment Sharon found out the car was not Geraldâs, a wave of relief instantly washed over her.
âLilian, did you really rent this car?â
Hayward threw Lilian a disgusting look. Lilian started sobbing. âIâm really sorry, Hayward⦠Iâm sorry⦠I shouldnât have lied to you!â
âHah, so itâs rented by Lilian. Even the IC numbers donât match! Letâs see who the owner is. Waitâ¦
huh? Gerald?!â Sharon froze, stunned to the point her mouth was wide open.
âThisâ¦this has to be a mistake, right?â Sharonâs eyes widened in disbelief.
âMr, Crawford youâre here! I was talking to Ms. Cole just now, and I didnât notice you. My apologies!â a surprised Quartney quickly apologized.
âItâs fine, Ms. Weaver. Anyway, I can leave after signing, right?â Gerald smiled.
âYes, Mr. Crawford, but donât you need to go over the details first?â
âNo worries. Iâve been staring at it for the entire day anyway,â Gerald replied and chuckled.
He walked toward Sharon and took the contract from her.
âThe car, itâs really yours?â Sharon quizzed Gerald with questioning eyes.
That was the closest she had stood next to Gerald since high school, and all she had was this confused feeling in her heart.
âWho did it you think it belonged to? Iâve already said itâs mine, but none of you believed me!â
Gerald replied calmly, his eyes piercing right into Sharonâs soul.
He then tapped Lilian on her shoulder.
âLetâs go. Iâll send you home first.â
âOkay. Just drop me off at the station; Iâm headed back to my hometown tonight,â responded Lilian.
