Chapter 753
The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford:The Secretly Rich Man Novel (Invisible or Poorest) Chapter 753
âWait a moment!â
Suddenly, Xara said.
âGerald, Iâm so repulsive now. Do you think that Iâll frighten Queta if I go there unannounced to meet her? Besides, Iâve never been by her side after so many years. Iâve even abandoned her. Will she hate me? Will she hate seeing such an extremely ugly mother?â
Xaraâs fear was evident in her voice.
âSheâll definitely refuse to recognize me as her mother since Iâm such a cruel and ugly woman!
âBesides, itâs way too sudden. Will Queta be able to accept it?â
Xara touched her face as she spoke.
Gerald scratched his head. âIf I tell Queta that youâre her mother, sheâll definitely be very excited. I guess you just donât know her that well but, sheâs a very kind young lady!â
âThat wonât do. Gerald, how about this? Just make some arrangements for me to go and be a nanny for Queta. I know that thereâs a chance that sheâll despise me as her nanny, but I just want to do something for Queta! Iâm willing to do anything for her! Anything!â
Xara said.
âAlright, Iâll make the necessary arrangements then. Weâll only tell Queta the truth if the chance presents itself in the future.â
This was the most he could do, for now at least.
Jasmine had already left with Mindy. Marven and the others were waiting with the car outside for Gerald to return.
Gerald did not ask them to stay behind in the house, so they did not dare to do so.
It would indeed be inconvenient if Xara tagged along with them. Hence, he asked Stella to leave with Marven and the rest of the group first.
After that, Gerald got another car and brought Xara to the villa where he was currently staying.
âLetâs go, Auntie Fenderson. Itâs right here!â
When they reached the door of the villa, Gerald smiled bitterly when he saw Xara standing there, completely frozen.
âOh, right!â
The door was opened.
âQueta! Queta?â
Gerald shouted twice.
There was no one at home.
He assumed that Queta must have gone out to buy things.
âSheâs not around. Auntie Fenderson, please wait for a moment.â
Xara nodded slightly. âGerald, I want to go to Quetaâs room and take a look. Would that be an inconvenience?â she asked.
âNo! Not at all! Let me bring you there!â
Gerald then opened the door of Quetaâs room.
However, he did not enter the room.
It was Xara who entered the room with red, tear-filled eyes.
The room was tidied with not a single thing out of place. There was not even a speck of dust in her room, not even in the corners, and it was as clean as a new pin.
In the closet, Quetaâs clothes which she usually wore were arranged in a tidy manner.
She then walked toward Quetaâs desk.
There was a photo frame on the desk, and it contained a photo of Queta.
Xara could no longer hold her tears back upon seeing the photo of her baby girl.
In the photograph, Queta almost looked exactly like her when she was young.
âDaughter! Sheâs really my daughter!
âShe looks exactly like me!â
Nothing made her happier than being reunited with her own daughter.
She realized that God still loved her.
She pressed the photo frame against her chest and continued sobbing for a while.
Suddenly, she glanced at the desk and saw that there was a notebook on it.
She opened it and took a look.
It was filled with Quetaâs neat and beautiful handwriting.
