Chapter 755
The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford:The Secretly Rich Man Novel (Invisible or Poorest) Chapter 755
âLet me tell you. My car is a Mercedes-Benz too. Itâs much, much more expensive than your stupid MPV! I wonât let this incident slide unless you cough up forty-five grand for me to fix my goddamn car!â
âAlso, forty-five thousand dollars are just the fees for repairing my car. You still need to provide compensation for the mental anguish you have caused me! I was rushing to attend a function today.
Now that Iâve missed it, have you any idea how much Iâve truly lost? Itâs far greater than thirty thousand dollars thatâs for sure. Hmph!â
That woman looked young, as young as Marven and the rest of his group.
She was overreacting probably because of how rich she was.
Marven and the others said nothing to refute her claims.
âIt was just a simple accident. Do you really have to ask for such a great amount for compensation?
How are we even going to cough up that sum?â
Stella asked anxiously.
Seventy-five thousand dollars was no small change.
Stella was rather paranoid when it came to driving. She accidentally bumped into the womanâs car when she was trying to dodge a larger vehicle.
âHmph! I didnât ask you for the money. Didnât you say that youâre driving someone elseâs car? You donât have money but the owner of the car should have it! Iâll wait for him to come. Until then, youâre prohibited to leave!â
That woman warned.
At that moment, that womanâs friend, who was also a young lady, emerged from the car. âLetâs forget about it. We came out to have fun today. Maybe you can just let it slide after they pay a bit of compensation?â
âForget about it? No way! Iâve been down on my luck for the past two days. Like hell, Iâm gonna let this slide! Finally, I bumped into a stupid Mister Moneybags and you think Iâm gonna let him go? I need to ask for great compensation before that happens!â
The woman whispered to her friend.
After that, she stood at the side of the road and called someone on her phone.
âMarven, did you call Gerald?â
Stella asked Marven.
âYes, I did. Weâre pretty close to his house. He said that heâll come right away. Damn woman! Youâre pretty pesky, arenât you? Weâre almost at his house so quit the anxious yappinâ alright?â
Marven scolded Stella.
âI told you that I didnât do it on purpose. How could you yell at me for that?â
Stella said with teary eyes.
âA good-for-nothing trash bag you are!â
Marven stopped talking after he was satisfied with venting out his anger on Stella.
He squatted by the road and waited patiently for Geraldâs arrival.
Suddenly, a sizable crowd had formed around the collision site.
âHey! Looks like a pretty serious collision! What a beauty of a car too! Tsk tsktsk! What a pity, young lady!â
The male observers noticed how beautiful the driver of the car who got rear-ended was. She had a naturally seductive face, which men tended to gravitate towards.
They knew from just a glance that she was the kind of rich lady who enjoyed her life vehemently.
Lightbulbs started appearing above their heads. They then approached the woman, perhaps in an attempt to butter her up.
And that woman hung up her call. âThatâs right. I just bought this car a while ago. Iâm gonna need forty-
five grand to fix up the car, and a further thirty thousand for the mental stress theyâve put me through!
Itâs a small sum anyway. Canât you see how new my car is!? By the way, is the car owner even here yet? Didnât you say that he lives nearby? Shouldnât he be here by now!?â
âHeâll be here soon!â
Marven replied.
âMiss, could it be that theyâre lying to you?â
At that moment, the passer-by said.
âAh? What do you mean?â
The woman was baffled.
âWeâre in the most affluent neighborhood in Salford Province, where most of the billionaires live! How do I put this properly? Well, the people who live here are worth at least a hundred and fifty million dollars. If not for how beautiful the scenery is at the local park here, we wouldnât be hanging around here at all! The math just doesnât add up! Ainât no way someone from this neighborhood owns such a crappy car like theirs! That car looks like it costs only sixty or seventy grand, tops!â
The passer-by said.
âThatâs true. Maybe they really are fooling me? Hmph! Let me ask you! Is your boss really from around here?â
The woman asked.
âYeah, heâs staying at Glorious Moment Villa in County Salford.â
Marven replied.
