Chapter 862
The Secretly Rich Man
Gerald Crawford:The Secretly Rich Man Novel (Invisible or Poorest) Chapter 862
It was at that moment when a phone belonging to one of Yuraâs subordinates began to ring.
âItâs Mr. Long, Mr. Yaleman,â said the subordinate.
âSo youâve actually sided with the Long family now! Youâve truly gone insane, Yura! And not just you, aunt and uncle must have lost their minds as well!â said Bea in disbelief.
âJust take her away already!â ordered Yura as he waved a hand impatiently before answering the call.
âEverythingâs going smoothly, Mr. Long. You better not forget the promise youâve made me.â
âBut of course I havenât! Iâd never forget such a promise, Mr. Yaleman!â
It was nearing night at the Yaleman family house and nobody seemed to have noticed anything particularly abnormal.
However, many family members did notice that Bea had been missing for the entire day, particularly Second aunt and her family who had been waiting to treat Bea and Catherine to a meal. Due to her absence for most of the day, they simply assumed that Bea was extremely busy.
When they enquired both Catherine and Sheldon about her whereabouts, neither knew where she was.
Eventually, Second aunt walked out of Beaâs office in resignation as she shook her head and sighed.
âIf only I knew she was going to end up becoming the family head, I wouldâve treated her much better!
With how tense our current relationship is, I wonder if treating her to a meal will even change anythingâ¦â
The day soon passed and on the morning of the second day, Second aunt and her family waited in front of Beaâs office once more. However, even as noon approached, there wasnât any sign of Bea anywhere.
âMom, letâs just leave⦠Thereâs probably no point in us waiting here like this⦠After all, Beaâs different now! Sheâs the most powerful big shot there is in the North! Why would she still be willing to even attend to us?â said Ysabel, dissatisfaction in her tone.
After all, Bea had risen the ranks so quickly that it made Ysabel extremely upset. She couldnât even categorize the feeling as simply feeling envious anymore.
As a woman, Ysabel knew that Bea wouldâve already done the family proud if she had gotten married into a rich family. If she had just stuck to that, Ysabel wouldnât be feeling such complex emotions right now!
But of course, she had to go out of her way to become a powerful big shot! She was now truly a strong and independent boss.
After thinking about it for a moment, Ysabel realized that she couldnât be envious anymore since there was literally zero chance she would be able to ever top Bea ever again. In fact, if she pleased Bea, there was a chance that she would still be able to become the second most important female boss in the area. Now that would be a good feelingâ¦
âBe patient, Ysabel⦠After all, as you said, Bea is now different from beforeâ¦â said Second aunt.
Just as she said that, Catherine came rushing over.
âGood morning, Catherine! Why isnât Bea here with you?â asked Second aunt.
âI wanted to ask you the same thing! Hasnât Bea arrived at work?â replied Catherine in an anxious tone.
âWeâve already been here for at least three hours! We havenât seen her at all!â explained Ysabel.
âHow odd⦠Iâve failed to contact her on the phone since yesterday and Sheldon hasnât seen her either⦠Where could she have gone? Knowing her, itâs unlikely that she ever switches her phone off, even if sheâs busy!â said Catherine.
Hearing that, Second aunt and Ysabel looked at each other. After a brief moment, Second aunt then asked, âCould⦠something have happened to her? Is her phone still off even now?â
Helplessly, Catherine nodded, âYes⦠Itâs not been on this entire time!â
âWhat should we do?â asked Second aunt, unsure of how to even process the sudden turn of events.
Though it took her a while, she soon snapped out of it and began consoling Catherine.
âWorry not, Catherine⦠After all, Beaâs both influential and powerful now! Iâm sure sheâs fine! Letâs just wait a little longer⦠If she isnât back soon after, weâll come up with something elseâ¦â
With motherly concern reflected in Catherineâs eyes, she could only nod slightly at her suggestion.
With that, even the second day soon came to pass⦠Then the third⦠and the fourthâ¦
âWhat did the police say?â asked Yumaâthe eldest sonâhurriedly.
It had now been seven days since Beaâs disappearance and the rest of the Yalemans were now having a family meeting.
âUp till this point, we havenât even found any clues! What on earth could have happened to Beaâ¦?â
