CHAPTER 03 THROUGH IT ALL

THE FIRSTPRINCE AND THE LEGACY OF LOVE

Prince Henry and Alex Claremont-Diaz had always known that their marriage wouldn't be easy. As members of the Royal Family and public figures, their every move was scrutinized. Yet, they had chosen to live their dream together, facing countless challenges, smiles, and tears over the past two years.

One evening, as they sat on the balcony of their London residence, the city lights twinkling below, they reflected on their journey.

Henry is recalling a significant moment in their past. "Do you remember our first public appearance after the wedding? I was so nervous."

Alex responds with a light-hearted comment. "How could I forget? You kept squeezing my hand so tightly, I thought you'd break it."

Henry chuckled, his eyes softening as he looked at Alex. "I couldn't have done it without you. You've been my rock through everything."

Alex smiled, leaning in to kiss Henry's cheek. "We've been each other's rock. It's not just me."

Henry shares his concerns. "True. But sometimes, I worry about the future. The pressure, the expectations... it can be overwhelming."

Alex reassures Henry "I know. But we've faced everything together so far. We'll keep doing that. One step at a time."

Henry nodded, taking a deep breath. "You're right. And no matter what happens, we'll always have each other."

Alex squeezed Henry's hand reassuringly. "Exactly. And that's all that matters."

As they sat there, hand in hand, they knew that their love was strong enough to withstand any challenge. Together, they could face anything the world threw at them.

The grand ballroom of the palace was alive with laughter and music as guests celebrated Princess Beatrice's wedding. The newlyweds danced gracefully in the center, surrounded by friends and family. Prince Henry and Alex Claremont-Diaz, married for almost two years, stood near the edge of the dance floor, watching the joyous scene unfold.

Alex glanced at Henry, noticing the familiar glimmer of emotion in his husband's eyes. Henry had always been the more sentimental of the two, and tonight was no exception. Alex gently squeezed Henry's hand, drawing his attention.

"Hey, what's going on in that head of yours?" Alex asked softly, his voice filled with concern.

Henry sighed, his gaze still fixed on Beatrice and her new husband. "It's just... seeing Bee so happy, it makes me think about our future. She's married now, Philip has his wonderful kids, and Mum is back in London. I can't help but wonder what's next for us."

Alex turned to face Henry fully, his expression serious yet tender. "Henry, we've always faced everything together. Whatever comes next, we'll handle it just like we always do side by side."

Henry smiled, though his eyes were still misty. "I know, Alex. It's just... sometimes I worry about whether we're doing enough, if we're making the right choices."

Alex chuckled softly, pulling Henry into a comforting embrace. "Babe, we've made it through so much already. We've got each other, and that's what matters most. We'll figure out the rest as we go."

Henry rested his head on Alex's shoulder, feeling the warmth and reassurance of his husband's words. "You're right. As long as we're together, we'll be okay."

They stood there for a moment, wrapped in each other's arms, before Alex pulled back slightly, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Now, how about we join the dance floor and show everyone how it's done?"

Henry laughed, the weight of his worries lifting. "Lead the way, Mr. Claremont-Diaz."

With that, they stepped onto the dance floor, ready to face whatever the future held, together.

Two weeks later, their duty was to visit an orphan care center. They were both excited to meet the children and spend time with them.

As they arrived at the orphan care center, the children greeted them with wide smiles and curious eyes. Alex and Henry were immediately surrounded by a group of kids, all eager to show them their drawings and toys.

"Look, Prince Henry! I drew a picture of you and Mr. Alex!" a little girl named Lily exclaimed, holding up a colorful drawing.

Henry knelt down to her level, admiring the artwork. "This is wonderful, Lily! You have quite the talent," he said, smiling warmly.

Alex, meanwhile, was busy playing a game of tag with a group of boys. "You're it!" one of them shouted, tapping Alex on the shoulder before running off. Alex laughed and chased after them, his laughter echoing through the courtyard.

After some time, the children gathered around for a group photo. Alex and Henry stood in the middle, surrounded by the kids. "Everyone say cheese!" Alex called out, holding up his phone to take the picture.

"Cheese!" the children chorused, their faces lighting up with joy.

As the visit came to an end, Alex and Henry thanked the staff for their hard work and dedication. "We are truly grateful for everything you do for these children," Henry said sincerely.

The staff members beamed with pride. "It's our pleasure, Your Highnesses. The children had a wonderful time today."

That night, as the palace grew quiet, Henry sat on the couch, looking through the photos they had taken at the orphanage. Each photo made him smile, reminding him of the laughter and joy of children. Alex, who had just finished taking a shower, walked into the room, his hair still wet. He saw Henry engrossed in the photos and joined him.

"These kids are amazing," Henry said, his eyes twinkling as he showed Alex a picture of a little girl with a wide grin.

Alex smiled, leaning closer to see the photo. "Yeah, they really are. It was a great day."

Henry hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath. "Alex, do you think we're ready to have children?"

Alex looked at Henry, surprised by the question. He took a moment to think, then asked, "Do you?"

Henry nodded slowly. "I think so. I mean, I know it won't be easy, but I can't stop thinking about it. I want us to have a family."

Alex reached out and took Henry's hand. "I want that too, Henry. But it's a big step. Are we really prepared for everything that comes with it?"

Henry squeezed Alex's hand, his expression serious but hopeful. "I believe we are. And I know we'll figure it out together, just like we always do, right"

Alex smiled, feeling a warmth spread through him. "Then let's do it. Let's start our family."

The following week, Alex and Henry attended the Global Fertility Award. The event was held in a sleek, modern building, buzzing with excitement and anticipation. As they entered, they were greeted by Dr. Zach Sinclair and his husband, Sean Voight.

Alex listened intently, fascinated by the possibilities. "This is incredible. The impact this could have on so many lives is beyond words."

Sean nodded. "We're hopeful it will open new doors for couples who dream of having children but face unique challenges."

Prince Henry and Alex exchanged a warm glance, feeling the love and unity that radiated from this family. After a moment, Alex turned to Doctor Zach with a thoughtful expression.

“Doctor Zach, Henry and I have been thinking about starting a family of our own,” Alex began. “We were wondering if you could help us with that.”

Doctor Zach smiled warmly. “Of course, Alex. I’d be happy to help. Are you considering surrogacy?”

Alex nodded. “Yes, we think that’s the best option for us. We want to make sure everything goes smoothly and that we have the best possible care.”

Doctor Zach nodded in understanding. “Surrogacy is a wonderful option, and there are many ways to go about it. We can discuss the different possibilities and find the best fit for you both. It’s an exciting journey, and I’ll be here to support you every step of the way. Maybe, we can discuss this more further. How about if you guys come to our house tomorrow, there will be a barbecue party at our house, if you come we will be happy”

Prince Henry squeezed Alex’s hand, feeling a surge of hope and excitement. “We'll be there .”
