Chapter 38

The Red Door

BLOOD MOON: The Lycan Alpha's Little Witch

Isabelle's point of view

While everyone at the pack was busy having fun at the bonfire, I was lying in my bed feeling restless.

Today didn't go as I planned. I still haven't figured out who the red circle's assassin was and my prime suspect, Yennefer, has been proven innocent by the spell I performed with the help of Dixie. To make today even worse, now Gabe hates me completely. Goddess I just wanted to vanish into thin hair.

'Don't be too hard on yourself. You did the right thing and soon enough Gabe will understand why you did what you did.' Brie said. Yeah, I named the voice in my head, you can call me crazy but I had to at least give the little voice in my head a name. Afterall she was the only one that I could talk to now.

I heard a knock on my door.

"Ugh, come in." I groan, too tired to get up and see who it was.

The door opened and it was Dimitri. His tall masculine figure entered my room, leaning against the wall behind him, staring at me with creased eyebrows. My entire body was melting in his gaze. He looked so hot.

"What?" I asked, swallowing hard. I was putting on a buttoned t-shirt and jeans, the clothes that I have been in all day.

"Nothing, just wondering what good deed I must have done to deserve this super sexy mate in front of me." He flattered with a smirk.

"Nothing that good, that's for sure." I joked with a smile.

"Even Da Vinci couldn't have sketched a more perfect woman. You look divine." He continued showering me with compliments. I could literally feel my face go completely red. God, I swear he is going to be the death of me.

"Oh stop it!" I said, blushing hard. He leaned in and captured my lips in his. A mild moan escapes from me, I have missed his kisses. He pulled away, sitting beside me with his arms around me. This just felt right.

"Why aren't you out there having fun with the rest of the pack?" I asked, getting comfortable in his embrace.

"I was, but it wasn't fun because I couldn't find you." He answers, making my heart melt on the inside. "Why did you choose to remain in your room instead of joining the bonfire?"

"Nothing…" I quickly say, "Just tired and all. Today has been a mess." I let out a sigh.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" He asks, I could tell he was genuinely concerned about me.

"You're doing enough being here." I told him. He let out a sigh and I could tell that something was bothering him.

"What's wrong?"

"I want to show you something. Close your eyes." I did as he said.

"You can open them now." He said. I opened my eyes and I saw that we were no longer in my room anymore. We were in a big open land with the feeling of grass beneath my feet.

It was springtime and birds were in the air, chirping. With butterflies fluttering everywhere, a little boy that I couldn't deny looked very much like Dimitri ran past us ignoring our presence, smiling as he chased a butterfly. He was cute, he shared many resemblances with Dimitri, his impeccable bright brown eyes and his pitch black hair. It was like a mini Dimitri.

In view was a beautiful cottage with a red door with giant green vines, sprawling over it.

"How did you-- Where are we?" I asked, still taking in the view before me.

"We are in my head." He answered. "This was one of the places I remember my parents would take me to."

"It's beautiful! You must have been happy."

"I was." He said in a cold tone that embodied sadness.

"Isabelle, I need your help. I had all these memories locked up, buried inside me. I have been running from them, afraid to look behind." I couldn't say anything, I didn't know which words to say as I just listened to him.

"But when you asked me about my family and that's when it struck me that I couldn't remember anything about them. I didn't want to. I locked all those memories of the night they were murdered behind the red door." I watched as the tears found its way to his eyes. Some people say tears are signs of weakness but actually I think it's rather the opposite. Tears showed strength in what we have endured and the pain we have overcome, it expressed the pain that we continue to carry on with us. Because without the pain there would be no life.

"I'm afraid of walking through my red door and reliving the demons I ran away from." He rasps.

"Dimitri, you aren't alone in this, I'm here. We will do it together." I said with a nod.

Together we pushed the red door open and we stood watching the memories that played before us.

We were at the pack. It was a mass slaughter, dead bodies of werewolves were everywhere, some of them still in their human form. The Red moon pack was being attacked by vampires.

It was a dark cold night with fire burning everywhere. The sound of carnage and blood was everywhere, I winced in horror at the chaotic scene. Even though we weren't really there and we couldn't be seen or touched, this still felt as real as anything I have witnessed.

Suddenly the scene morphed. Now we were in a room.

"Ryker, how did they know how to get here?" The man I immediately recognized as Dimitri's father questioned a man. Behind him was little Dimitri carried in the arms of his mother whose eyes were crippled with fear.

"Alpha this is a planned ambush. Someone must have given us away to the Volkari coven." Ryker said with a puzzled look. "We were betrayed!" He grunted angrily. Someone had sold out the pack which led to the vampire's invasion.

"Alpha you and Luna must leave now through the secret passage. We would fight off the vampires." Ryker said.

"Beta, you want me to run away like a cowardly Alpha and leave you all to die? Never!" The Alpha scoffed.

Dimitri and I stood there in silence, watching the memories replay before us.

"We all would gladly die if it means you get to live." Ryker insisted, urging his Alpha. "You have to go now so your son can grow up with his father." The two men turned to look at little Dimitri who watched them with beady eyes.

"What type of father would I be if I taught my son how to run away from his battles. No, that wouldn't be right. I will fight alongside my pack, even if I die at least it would be given a warrior's death." I watched in awe at his bravery, he would rather stand and fight back than run away from his pack. It was so brave and inspiring.

He walked over to his mate, the Luna who was trying to keep a strong front but it was obvious that she was breaking on the inside.

"May we meet again." She managed to mutter to him, as he kissed her, one last time.

"Laura, In this life or the next." The Alpha said with a smile as he wiped the tears off her cheek. He then looked over at Dimitri, placing his hand on the child's head.

"You are a strong little wolf, you take after your mom." He says with a smile. I looked over at Dimitri who was standing still beside me, his jaw tightening as he watched with his eyes teary. I squeezed on to his hand tighter so he knew that he wasn't alone in this.

"Be a brave and good Alpha, whatever may happen never forget how much daddy loves you." He says giving Dimitri a quick hug before the memory begins to fade again, displaying a different scene.

This time we were in a dark forest. The first thing I noticed was Dimitri and his mother running as quick as they could through the woods, they were trying to escape. The hissing and rabid snarling of the vampires pursuing them could be heard and it was undoubtedly getting closer.

In a twist, a vampire lunged at them out of nowhere, in a swift retaliation was decapitated by Dimitri's mom mid air. Soon enough they were surrounded by a horde of vampires.

My heartbeat was racing as I watched, there was no escaping for them now.

The set of vampires eyed them hungrily, snapping their fangs waiting for someone to make the first move. Finally one of the vampires charged at her with speed. Laura growled, ripping the vampire to shreds, her wolf was in control now as her eyes were now a bright blue color. She was ready to let her wolf out.

More vampires charged at her all at once as she fought them off single handedly, killing anyone that dared to come close to her child. He was the one they were really after.

She sustained some bites and wounds but she continued fighting till every one of the vampires laid dead on the floor.

"Dimitri, you have to go now!" She told him, "You have to run, more of them are coming."

"What about you?" The little Dimitri said, his voice soft and his eyes bloodshot red from holding back so much tears.

"I will hold them back." The look on his face sank. She added, "Don't worry, I will be fine."

"That's a lie, I want to stay with you." He begged, holding on to his mother tight. I couldn't fight back the tears that welled up in my eyes from watching the scene.

"No you can't. If you stay then the pack, your dad and my sacrifice will be in vain. So hurry now, RUN!" She yelled at him, causing him to shake in surprise.

"DIMITRI LEAVE!" She growled, pushing him away. His face was covered in confusion and pain, he quickly dabbed the tears that attempted to fall down from his eyes. Little Dimitri started to run, just as his mother commanded.

"I love you my beautiful boy." Laura whispered to herself as she sobbed, the vampires behind her were close.

She let out a fearsome growl as she plunged her hands into one of the vampires, ripping his heart out. She then transformed into a beautiful white wolf.

She continued to fight the vampires killing anyone that attempted to pass, but it seemed as if the more vampires she killed the more they became.

Out of the blue, one vampire managed to latch onto Laura from behind, biting and crushing her wolf.

She let out a whimper as she shook the vampire away, biting his head off. She fell to the ground and let out a loud felt howl.

The other vampires took the opening and attacked, sinking their teeth into her.

"Mom!" Dimitri called out beside me. He looked completely shattered reliving the memories that he locked behind a red door. No wonder he had these memories locked, this was his greatest pain.

"It was all my fault." He murmured with red eyes. My heart broke seeing him like this. All the pain came crashing in on him at once and they broke him.

I quickly took him in my embrace, holding him tight as he leaned on me.

"None of it is your fault. They all made a sacrifice for the greater good." I told him.

"What greater good could there possibly be?" He asked.

"You are the greater good Dimitri. You are the living proof that all their sacrifices weren't for nothing. You were worth it." I say to him as he buried his face in me clinging on to me so tight.

I slowly opened my eyes and we were still sitting there on my bed holding on to one another.

"I love you Isabelle." He whispers to me, making my heart stop beating at his sudden words.

He says the three words, and my heart feels like it's about to explode out of my chest. "I'm not losing you." His voice is firm as he says the last sentence,

Then he brushes his lips against mine and kisses me slowly while holding me close to him. I responded to his kiss with all my heart. For once, I don't give a damn about the world because mine revolves around him now.

I welcome his tongue as he shoves it into my mouth. My hands get under his shirt and are now touching his bare chest, making a deep growl escape his mouth.

He stops kissing me and lays me down on the bed while locking his gaze with mine.

Those hazel eyes... How can they hold so many emotions inside? Emotions are so strong that I barely can keep looking at them.

Slowly, Dimitri unbuttoned my shirt before taking off my pants and my underwear until I'm completely naked, on the bed, before him. Then he undresses too, revealing his ice hard abs. Staring at me, he leans over me until we're face to face, while his fingers reach my slit, making me gasp. He shoves one into my slick opening, which is already wet, as usual for him

While his face leans closer to mine, he doesn't break our eye contact. "Belle," he whispers. There's so much passion in his voice, making my heart thump harder. "You belong to me. You're mine." And I didn't disagree with that, I am his as he is mine.

And with that, he thrust fully Into me, making my body jerk upward.

He continues to thrust, slowly and intensely. But each is deep, just like the depth of his love in his eyes that I'm witnessing. I wrap my arms around his back and moan in pleasure every time he reaches me to the core.

"It's always been you, Belle," he rasps, sweat trickling from his forehead as he continues filling me to the core. "It's you. Only you."

Another tear slides down my cheek. I feel whole. With him. By my side.

And my helpless moans continue to echo inside my room as we go on making love.
