Let there be carnage

Isabelle's point of view

THE BEAUTIFUL SOUND OF BIRDS chirping in my ears and the rays of sunlight on my face wake me up. My eyelids flicker before I can fully open my eyes. I see the familiar ceiling of my room, but strangely, the plain white woods look more beautiful now. Everything around me seems and feels more beautiful, because nothing can top what I'm feeling inside.

A soft smile touches my lips as my mind flashes back to memories of last night. I turn to face the person who has just made me the happiest girl in the world again, who wrapped me in his embrace before we went to sleep last night.

"Rise and shine, my little witch." Dimitri rasped, I looked up at him to see his hazel eyes open with a knowing smirk.

"Morning," I said, placing my head on his broad wide chest. "How long have you been awake?"

"It's been a while now, but I didn't want to stir you awake." He answered. It was moments like this that I wished could last forever. At moments like this I wished the world could just stand still and move forever slowly. Laying here with him made me forget all about the world. All I needed was there in his perfect eyes, they were all that I could see.

"Do we really have to get up?" I groan, not wanting to leave this bed. This just felt so right.

"You know that we really do," he chuckled, getting out of bed. I could see his amazing sculpted abs and his magnificent tattoos. He had a skull head with spikes coming out of each end at the left side of his chest, looking deep at it, it seemed like a compass of sorts. And my favorite, the butterfly tattoo on his back.

"Also tonight is the lunar eclipse." He said his expression suddenly turned gloomy. Tonight was the curse of the lunar eclipse. Tonight he would lose himself over to his Darkside, Cessair. And the effect of the moon's eclipse would also affect the entire pack, making them fall weak, weak to the extent of causing death. Tonight was going to be a struggle for the entire pack.

"Isabelle, can you promise me something?" He asked, getting me out of my thoughts. I replied to him with a small nod.

"I want you to promise me that tonight, when I lose control of Cessair and I'm no longer myself. I want you to promise me that you will be far away from me." He finally says, catching me off guard. How could he ask me to promise that? I needed to be there with him during the eclipse, I couldn't just abandon and leave him when he needed me the most

"I need you to be far away from me. Isabelle promise me." He demanded, lifting my head up to meet his gaze.

"Okay, I promise." I gulp,

He places a slow kiss on my lips before he goes out of my room. What was this feeling I felt in me? Like something terrible was going to happen.

I took a quick shower and headed out. In the kitchen was Gabe making pancakes for Yennefer. Gabe senses my presence, he stares at me while I give him the 'I'm sorry' look.

"Get over here Belle," he smiles, "Or I'll finish all the pancakes."

I go to him and give him a warm hug. I thought I completely ruined our friendship. I buried my face in his chest, he reciprocates the gesture too.

"Whoa, easy there Isabella. Or I'm going to start to think that you're a threat." I heard Yennefer say, watching us from behind.

"Don't get jealous now. You know I only have eyes for you, mi amor." He assures blowing Yennefer a kiss and she catches it. "Besides I could hear the mischief you and Dimitri were up to last night." He smirked, causing my face to go red. Ugh, werewolf hearing, remind me to spell block my room to be soundproof.

"Take a seat Belle, I'm serving pancakes and they are extra fluffy." He sang the last part.

"Don't you have any important Gamma tasks to be doing aside from serving extra fluffy pancakes." I joked. It was a relief to have carefree Gabe back, the angry one was scary.

"You can't work on an empty stomach Isabelle. Oh this would need some maple syrup, I'll quickly go get it. Excuse me ladies." Gabe said with a good old fashion courtesy bow, before he stormed out of the kitchen. Leaving me alone with Yennefer.

"I think we're alone now, there doesn't seem to be anyone around." She sang to the 80s hit track by Tiffany. Boring holes into me with those purple eyes of hers. I knew the spell I did said that she wasn't one of the red circle's lackeys but I couldn't deny that something about her made me feel uneasy and I'm sure I'm not just being paranoid.

"If you have something to say to me then spit it out and quit staring at me." I boldly called her out. I was tired of the staring and the mind games she was playing. She was trying to psych me out, not that it would ever work though.

She gave a slight chuckle, "Gabe told me about what you did. I know you tried a spell to know if I was a bloody imposter." She blatantly said.

"I just don't know why you would think that I was your enemy, Belle. I don't think I have done anything wrong against you. Have I?" She drawled innocently. I was getting tired of this bitch.

"No, I don't think you have, yet. But all my life I have been running away from people that want my life and believe me, I've gotten damn too good at knowing when someone is being a pretentious, two-faced snake just like you." I said with a smirk, watching as her smile faded to an angry scowl. I inched closer to her, staring at her in the eyes.

"I may not know what your game is now, but if you dare hurt Gabe or anyone that I care about, I'll --" she interrupts me with a laugh.

"Oh I'm shaking in my boots Luna. Please dazzle me, what pain could you possibly inflict on me that I haven't quite suffered before." She said, letting out a sinister laughter.

"I promise you that I will melt and liquify you from the inside till you are nothing but a messy puddle on the floor." I threaten her with a smirk, come to think about it that actually sounded like fun. Seconds pass, as we hold each other's stare.

"That sounds delightful!" She beams. Goddess I swear there was something really wrong with this chick. Gabe finally returned back to the kitchen with a syrup in hand.

"Got it!" He waves the maple syrup. "Now we can eat." He says. In all honesty I actually just lost my appetite.

"I'm actually not hungry anymore. Maybe next time." I said with a smile. Gazing at Yennefer, hoping she remembers my threat and takes it to mind.

Dimitri Point of view

Night came more quickly than I would have liked. I stood in the cave that has been fortified and spelled by the witches coven to be able to contain me. The boundary spell was concocted channeling a vast amount of magic, I could tell. I only hope it was enough to hold Cessair.

I could feel the energy of the eclipse feed the beast inside. I could feel something stir from deep inside me, it was Cessair wanting to be let out, he was craving for one thing, something that he has been denied for so long. Blood.

"Alpha. It is time." Celeste called out to me from behind. The moon was slowly becoming swallowed up by darkness and so was I, we had to begin now.

Lance helped put the shackles and chains on me, these were necessary precautions to suppress my abilities. I let out a loud growl at Lance, finally he was done setting me up in bondage.

Everyone went over to the other side of the cave as the witches led by Celeste began chanting a spell to seal the cave with a powerful boundary spell which would keep even Cessair from getting out.

"Tulit zee genus ad peregrinadum mirum samedi." they all chanted in unison, following with a rumble felt throughout the cave.

After it was done I watched with blurry eyes as Celeste and Lance watched me with concern as Lance said.

"Will it be able to hold Cessair?" Lance asked worriedly. Cessair couldn't be let free. For the safety of the pack, we kept the news of my curse a secret to keep people that would seek our entire demise. If my enemies knew that the entire pack's life was linked to me, it would put the pack in danger.

I could hear the whispers of Cessair from within me. The thoughts that roamed through his mind were clear as crystal.

He wanted there to be carnage.
