Her awakening

Dimitris Point Of View

"THERE HAVE BEEN an unusual energy in the air, I'm sure you all must have felt it too. The chosen one is closer than I thought and their power is growing stronger. We need to find whoever it was fast." Valor said to the gathered congregation as they all murmured frantically.

"We need to kill this chosen one before he or she aligns with our enemies, the vampires." I heard Dexter spit. God I fucking hated these self entitled Alphas. This was why I chose not to be the supreme overlord of the council, it was filled with a bunch of wolves I couldn't stand, they were selfish and ignorant. I rather just observe them from afar, and Valor hasn't done anything to step out of line ever since his ascension. Well nothing yet.

They were all afraid of the unknown chosen one, blessed by the moon goddess. I could perceive the stench of all their fears in the air. Fear, a fowl beast that can't be tamed, it can bend even the most upright.

"My pack witches are already on it, we will find out where the chosen one has been hiding. And we will kill whoever it may be." My jaws clench as Dorian threatened to have mate killed.

'Why don't I rip him apart!' Luca growled, begging to be set free. I had to calm him down, it wouldn't be wise to lose all control.

"Alpha Dimitri, is there anything you would like to tell the council?" I heard Rafael say, with an amused smirk. I was going to knock that darn smile off his face one of these days.

All eyes around the board fell on me. I hissed a curse under my breath.

"What is there to tell?" I simply said, looking him in the eyes.

"Maybe you know something about the chosen one that we don't. After all, the massive surge of energy came off from your territory." Rafael added with his smirk intact.

"Are you trying to insinuate that I am hiding the chosen one?" I growled.

"Well--" he was about to begin when I cut him off.

"I would think carefully about what I would say next if I were you." I said, my eyes already flaring a bright red.

"Dimitri, calm down. We are not the enemy, the chosen one is. We all need to work together to stop this threat before she destroys the entire werewolf kind." Valor said, pissing me off the most. I glared at the man who just referred to my mate as a threat.

"I'm done with this meeting." I sounded, standing up from my seat.

"You aren't the overlord Dimitri, you have no power to just walk out of the meeting while it's ongoing." Valor growled.

"I'd like to see who's going to stop me." I grit out walking away.

"Dimitri stop!" I heard Valor's warning voice booming from behind me but I ignored his words. I didn't have time to waste in these silly meetings. I needed to get back to my pack and be with my mate. Valor and the council could go fuck themselves in hell for all I care.

Lance Point Of View

I could hear Alpha call for a meeting through the mindlink. It sounded serious. Ever since the attack on the pack, everyone has been on their toes. We lost a lot of good warriors during the attack, Alaric didn't make it. We had people to mourn and bodies to bury and I knew that this was only the beginning.

The Red circle infiltration and attack took its toll on everyone. Gabe has been completely shattered these past few days, finding out his mate was the enemy who lied and deceived him, it destroyed him. It hurt and weakened his wolf.

I went to the Alpha's office, with Gabe. Celeste and the twins; Alexa and Dixie were already present, they all had a serious look on each of their faces.

We all listened attentively as Alpha was informing us of the meeting he had earlier with the council and how he walked out of the entire congregation. Those were bold moves I must say, I knew Valor wouldn't be happy with this. I never liked that old Alpha, he was always hungry for power and I knew he always felt threatened by Dimitri's existence. Dimitri was the last remaining lycan alive and the supposed to be werewolf king and supreme overlord but Dimitri was never interested in gaining power so he never claimed it. Now, Dimitri walking out of the council might be seen as a threat to Valor.

"They think that I'm helping the chosen one. They know she is within my territory." Dimitri says.

"I need the pack's spell boundary to be fortified, no one can get in nor out from now on." he says to Celeste and the twin witches and nods their heads.

"And Lance, I need you to strengthen the pack's defenses. We need to prepare, I have a feeling we may be going to war."

Just then as we were discussing the door was opened and an angry looking Luna walked in.

We all stopped talking, staring at Isabelle as she stared back at us in rage and pain. After the attack on the pack and her outburst of energy that helped us by destroying the revenants she went into a deep slumber, she had expelled too much energy and she needed to rest. When she woke up she was weak and was told to take things slow but she couldn't, she discovered that her cousin was still alive and she wanted to go after him and face her aunt Delilah.

Since she woke up she has changed. Celeste says the change is brought because she emerged. When a witch emerges they open up powers locked within them. Isabelle has grown stronger these past few days, everyone could feel it. She was radiating a powerful amount of magic energy, it was incredible. She has also been acting differently, she was more focused and her rage seemed difficult to control. She wanted revenge at her aunt, could you possibly blame her?

Alpha Dimitri was up on his feet, moving closer to Luna. "Isabelle! Goodness you need to rest." he tried moving closer to her but she ignored him and stepped away.

"Why are you all having a secret meeting without me, you know I want to be involved with everything that is going on." her voice sounded pained and betrayed.

"You need to rest," Dimitri said to her.

"I don't need you constantly trying to protect me Dimitri, I can protect myself just fine. And I don't need you keeping things from me either. I'm the chosen one, I need to at least know what is going on." Isabelle spoke.

"You're right, I shouldn't be keeping these things from you. You can clearly take care of yourself. So here it is." Dimitri began to tell her about everything that happened.

Dimitri Point Of View

I told her everything, not withholding one piece of information from her. She was right, I shouldn't keep things from her, we have seen how badly that always works out whenever I do. Isabelle is my mate, there shouldn't be any secret between us.

My little mate was one hell of a firecracker. I have never seen her this mad or determined, I couldn't help but find it hot. She was brave and strong, even stronger than I was.

Ever since her emergence she grew more powerful, everyday she trained and practiced her spells with Dixie and Alexa, they always kept me informed on her and I was amazed at how good she was.

She was determined to find her Aunt and end her life; she also hoped to save Diego, her cousin. She believes that she can reason with him, I hope she is right.

I told her about the council and their hunt for the chosen one, my little witch had grown, she could handle the truth.

"If the council wants me then they should come and get me, I'm not afraid of them. I'm done hiding away from things. So it's either they step aside or I'll burn them to the ground." Isabelle said angrily. She was clearly pissed off at everything, she needed to let out her anger. And she had my support.

If the council continues to see her existence as a threat I would be the one to personally kill them all.

My little witch could take care of herself now and it was time we faced our battles instead of running away from them.

"Okay, I agree with you." I admitted with a proud smile.

I could hear Kael say through the mindlink that we had two unwelcome visitors at the pack's territory.

'Who is it?' I questioned back.

'It is Alpha Rafael and his Luna, Sheila. He says he is here to talk with you.' Kael answers.

"What does that mutt Rafael want now?" I sigh, I could feel a little hand in mine. It was Isabella's.

"We will face him together, no more running." She said and I nodded.

Whatever may come, we will face it together.
