Girls night
BLOOD MOON: The Lycan Alpha's Little Witch
Isabella's point of view
"Huh? What was that you just said again?" I asked Iris, hoping she would be kind enough to repeat what she just asked me again. I won't deny that I wasn't paying much attention to her words. My mind was completely else qwhere these days, well you could say that for the past few days my mind has been cast away in a vertigo haze.
I couldn't think properly and It was all because of him. Ever since the kiss during Iris' initiation ceremony he has totally been avoiding me like I was the plague.
'He isn't avoiding us. Quit overreacting.' my inner thoughts scoffed at me, but I knew I wasn't 'overreacting'. He was avoiding me and I think the voice in my head knew it too, she just didn't want to accept it.
Dimitri was barely ever seen around the pack and whenever he was around, he was always unavailable with one silly excuse or the other.
Like if he didn't want to see me that's fine but this was his pack and he has a duty to them to keep and he was neglecting all that. I knew I said I was going to forget and bury any trace of feeling I once had for the cold Alpha but somehow knowing that he didn't want anything to do with me hurt.
"I said, you fixed back your bracelet. But clearly you seem to have something else on your mind, what has been going on with you lately?" Iris asked, looking at me with concern laced on those obsidian orbs of hers. I looked down at my binding bracelet. I was able to put it back together and restore it early this morning, hopefully it will help reduce the cases of monster attacks the pack has been facing lately, which hasn't been much but just two days ago Lance, Stefanie, the siphon twins and I took down a wraith. With my powers bound it will help make it harder to track me.
âCome on Belle, spill. You have that same look you get whenever something is eating up your mind from the inside.â Iris pointed out with a raised eyebrow. I didn't realize my face was giving that dreadful twisted look.
"He is avoiding me," I tell her vaguely, she just looked at me with confusion registered on her features.
"Who is?" She asked, urging me to explain in more details.
"Dimitri." I said.
"So you think that Dimitri Axel Castellan, the last lycan and alpha to the blood moon pack is avoiding you?" Iris drawled skeptically, it was obvious that she still doubted my claims.
"Yes, I know how it sounds but believe me. I know he is avoiding me and it all started after that stupid kiss." I blurted out the last part, hating myself immediately. I didn't want anyone finding out about the kiss because honestly it was embarrassing.
"You two kissed?!" She squealed, standing up, my best friend was loud at times. At this point I would not be surprised if the entire pack was listening in. Oh goddess just kill me already.
"Mhm-mhmm." I just said, my face burning in complete embarrassment.
"It was about time and why am I just finding out about this now?" She mumbled, her arms crossed,
"Well because he said it was nothing but a mistake and it shouldn't have happened." I admitted to Iris, feeling hurt by the mere memory.
He didn't want me.
"That sucks. Anyways for what is worth I don't think he is avoiding you, the pack has been really busy lately." Iris said, trying to comfort me which wasn't working if I were to be honest.
"You know what you need right now?" Iris continued with a smile. "A breath of fresh air. That will get your mind off you know who." She quips. I don't really know about that, going out was still too dangerous. But truly I did need to go out and breathe in some new air, I was feeling suffocated here with thoughts of Dimitri. And going anywhere sure beats this.
"Sure, where are we going though?" I inquired.
"That's for me to know and for you to follow." She winks, grinning like a mischievous Cheshire cat. Now I was really worried about whatever it was Iris had in mind, but whatever. All I needed was fresh air and a new scenery to take my mind off, and if Iris' was offering me that, anywhere would be fine.
"Okay, you're in charge." I said, surrendering to her demands.
"Yay, girls night." Iris screams almost burst out my eardrums.
We've been driving for at least two hours and we finally reached Iris' mystery destination.
"A club? Seriously?" I ask her, shutting the door to the car behind me. I honestly don't know why I was surprised about her choice when Iris made sure we stopped at a clothing store to get a change of clothes. Iris chose a beautiful purple skimpy dress with thigh high boots for me and she got for herself a short black dress.
"Come on Belle, it's going to be fun. Trust me." She squealed, tugging me along as we entered into the night club.
Deep thumping music fills my ears as I enter the club with Iris and this was quite a crowd, the club was jammed with people. It felt nice being here, away from the pack and anything that makes me think about Dimitri.
We walk towards a table, catching several people's attention. Maybe they were monsters that were looking for me? My paranoia kicks in to tell me that this was a bad idea.
Fuck it!
I'm so tired of having to live my life in fear of what's going to happen next. If they were monsters that wanted me then they could be my guest, they don't scare me anymore. I'm just going to have a good time, I at least deserve that just for tonight.
My gaze darts on the tray of shots brought to our table and without thinking further, I take one of the crystal liquor cups and bottoms up, placing the glass back on the table with a loud thud. Wiping my mouth with the back of my hand, I swallow the bitter taste of the alcohol. I'm never used to drinking, but strangely, I feel nothing, perhaps because I feel much more bitter on the inside.
"Wow. That's the spirit, Belle." Iris says.
By the time I finish my third shot, I already feel like my body is on fire. I join the dancing crowd, jumping and rocking my body from side to side.
"Hey beautiful," a voice snaps me out of my zone, and I look to see a man -- who looks like he's in his mid forties -- smiling charmingly at me. His sky blue eyes and
mysterious aura hold my attention. "Care to dance with me?" He asks me.
Is it just me, or does he look like Brad Pitt? Whatever. I don't care as long as he can dance.
"Sure." I smile, making him smirk, revealing a set of sharp teeth.
Selena Gomez's song 'Dance Again' is playing and I can't help but feel even hotter, like I can do something wild. Brad Pitt's twin pulls me closer to his chest as we begin to dance to the song. His hands roam my back before trailing the curves on my hips, and I move with him synchronically.
Just then my eyes caught something that made my heart almost stop beating and my breath caught up in my throat.
There at one of the empty tables was Dimitri. He was putting on a black shirt, his shirt unbuttoned to his chest revealing his tattoos, the sleeves folded making his veins pop out. He wasn't drinking or doing anything specifically, he just looked at me with those intense cold eyes of his.
A wicked smirk curled up to my lips as a wild idea popped up in my head.
I turn back to the older man and continue dancing with him sensually, teasing him with my provocative moves. It doesn't take a lot of effort, simply just using my hips and throwing dirty looks here and there. I never knew I could move like this. The drink has definitely affected me, it burns me and makes the result of the Dimitri's effect ten times stronger on my body. I feel some crazy shit going on inside of me. I feel frustrated, desperate, angry. Horny. Excited. Wild. Wrecked. Torn. And it was all because of him.
"Damn. You're so fucking hot." The man hot breath whispers in my ear, his voice sounding like he couldn't wait to handcuff me on his bed. When I look at his face, I immediately see the lust and desire burning in his eyes. It felt disgusting.
I turn my body around, and now my ass is pressed on his thigh. I keep swinging my hips and dance like I need to breathe. I was now looking at Dimitri straight in the eyes and he now seemed a little bit affected, I could see a spark of jealousy in him that fueled me to go on.
"You know, that move is not legal unless you are in a strip club or in my bed," he hisses into my ear, lust laced in his every word as he takes a smell of my bare shoulder like I'm a drug. I gasped when I could feel the hard bulk under his pants pressing against my ass. This somehow makes me alert. I tried to walk away but he grabbed my wrist tightly, pulling me back to him. He was surprisingly stronger than he appeared.
I took a quick glance over at Dimitri's table but he was nowhere in sight. Where the hell was he?
I'm about to turn around to face my dance partner when the warmth of his body suddenly turns into the empty cold air.
My eyes widen in shock as I find him suspended, hanging in the air with Dimitri claws gripping on his throat furiously enough to make me think that he could choke him to death. Dimitri's eyes were no longer it's usual ice brown, they were now bloody red. His lycan wolf was sharing control with him and they were furious.
"Dimitri! Stop, you're going to kill him." I pleaded with him but all I received was a cold growl. Phones and cameras were up, videoing Dimitri display. Hr needed to stop now before he really hurts the guy.
Dimitri says something to the manâs ear, right before he throws the man harshly, making him smack himself against the wall causing red crimson blood to trail along the floor as people's screams fill the air.
Dimitri stood there staring at me with his hollow fiery red eyes.
