Everything is over now!
BLOOD MOON: The Lycan Alpha's Little Witch
Isabella's Point Of View
MY MIND FELT like it was going to explode at any moment from now. There was just so much going on in it at the same time.
On one hand of the stick, I was glad I finally found the spell needed to end the curse on Dimitri and set the pack free, this was good news, considering the Blood moon was drawing close. The pack would survive the Blood moon coming.
And on the other rather crooked hand of the stick, there was a Darkness from my bloodline threatening to engulf the world. Delilah is planning on letting the Namek out, it was only a matter of time.
I couldn't be at ease knowing that the black onyx pendant was in the hands of my aunt.
But it wasn't over yet.
The pendant is a prison world, Delilah would still need the key to open it. In Jósephine's memoir she wrote that the prison was sealed using Namek's own blood. That means Namek's blood was the only key and I know that is something my aunt couldn't possibly get her hands on since Namek is locked up.
Even still no one was safe with the pendant with Delilah. I need to get it back from her.
Could Diego possibly be okay with this madness Delilah was planning? I don't even know what to expect from him anymore. The little boy I grew up with was dead, he has been brainwashed completely. I knew nothing about this new Diego now.
As I headed back to the pack house, I heard a rustling sound coming from the woods, I quickly went over to see what it was. It was a hooded figure, shrouded in a black cloak.
The figure raced hastily but quietly towards the Eastern side of the pack.
Whoever this was being extremely careful as to not draw any attention. I needed to find out who this stranger was and what they were planning.
I followed the hooded figure, whoever it was, was in so much hurry to get to wherever they were headed. Finally we made it to a stream, which was at the Eastern border to our pack territory.
The stranger was trying to escape!
I quickly sprung out from where I was hiding in the bushes, attacking whoever it was using my magic to send them flying against a tree.
I heard the stranger groan as she whispered a curse under her breath.
My blood went frozen. I knew that voice.
"Rubi!" I frowned. "What the hell are you doing here?" The last time I saw her was when she trashed my room and we got into a fight, I remember knocking her teeth out. Gemini told me she was kicked out of the pack, that would explain the roguish scent she reeked of. She was now a rogue belonging to no pack, so why was she back here.
"Hello Isabella. You still remember my name after you completely ruined my life and stole what was mine." She hissed venomously, as she stared at me with cold eyes. There was something about her that looked different-- looked wild and dangerous.
"What? I didn't ruin your life Rubi, you did that yourself and if you are referring that I stole Dimitri away from you." I smirked. "He was never yours."
"No you're wrong! He loved me until you showed up, I was supposed to be the Luna of the Blood Moon pack! I was supposed to be by Dimitri's side, not you!" She screamed in rage. I could see it clearly now. I saw it all in her eyes, she had indeed changed. She had gone completely feral and had lost all trace of humanity she once had, giving complete control to her wolf.
A feral wolf is a rare abominable situation whereby a wolf loses all its human instincts and only craves blood and embraces its natural animal instincts, to kill. When a werewolf goes feral it's when they let their animal have total control, in both forms. Feral wolves were dangerous and were killed for their own sake.
There was nothing anyone could do to help a wolf who had lost all humanity. The best you could do for them is to kill them.
"Rubi, calm down. You are not well, there's something really wrong with you." I said, trying to reason with her.
"Don't worry, I feel better than ever." She said with a wicked grin.
From a distance up in the sky, I could see a ball of fire falling heading for the witches quarters.
"It's starting already." Rubi smiled as she watched the falling ball of fire.
"What did you do?" I queried.
"Nothing much other than disrupting the boundary spell around the pack." She smirked.
No. No. No.
Oh goddess, the pack protection spell was disrupted, this meant the pack was completely vulnerable to attacks from outside of its territories.
But why? Why the hell would she do that?
I watched as the falling ball of fire hit the witches quarters with a loud bang.
The witches quarters had been destroyed in flames.
I grabbed Rubi's throat, clutching it tightly, drawing out my dagger, pointing it at her throat.
"You bloody traitor!" I was about to kill her but I stopped at the sound of Rubi's wild laughter.
"Why are you laughing?" I asked, keen on figuring out what was so funny to her.
"You are all going to die. Do you think you and I are the only ones out here? This was a trap for you Luna." She continued laughing like she had gone completely mad, maybe she had gone completely mad.
That was when I heard a hissing sound from behind me. A wicked smile grew on Rubi's face, as she stared at whatever was making the sound.
I turn around to see a green serpent with long fangs, hissing at me. It wasn't just a serpent. This was the king of serpents.
'The basilisk.'
I quickly look away from its yellow eyes reflecting death at me.
I read about the Basilisk in old magical lores, it was a giant serpent, also known as the King of Serpents. Aside from its deadly and venomous fangs that had the ability to destroy anything, the Basilisk has a murderous stare, and all who are fixed with the beam of its eye shall suffer instant death
'I can't look at it, I need to avoid its gaze.' I mentally warmed myself.
"Kill her!" Rubi screamed.
In a second the giant serpent strikes at me with its poisonous fangs, I quickly jump out of harm's way. It paused, narrowing on me like a predator fixed on its prey. My spells were useless against the basilisk.
It slithered quickly around me, wrapping around me tightly, squeezing out all the air in me.
I groan as I feel my bones crush. I groaned, feeling a power within me, reigniting me.
"Tres ve li nouitrè!" I chanted, causing the earth to quake and shake, the night sky gave way causing it to rain. I managed to crawl out of the serpent's grasp.
I closed my eyes just feeling the vibrations around me. I could sense the basilisk's movement, rushing to strike me again. I took in a deep breath channeling all the energy around me.
"Return to dust!" I ordered and on command thunder crackled in the sky, striking the basilisk down.
I opened my eyes to find the ashes that remained of the basilisk. I knew who it was from.
Delilah.
It was pathetic of her to send her pet to come and get me, if she wanted me so badly she should come and get me herself.
I turned to Rubi who stared at me with fear. As she should.
"What kind of deal did you and my aunt make?" I interrogated, wrapping my hand around her neck.
"I swear, I don't know what she wants from you." Rubi confessed.
"Don't fucking lie to me." I chastised, applying more pressure around her throat.
"Believe me, I don't know-- I was only given orders to lure you out here-- and make sure you are weakened." Rubi smiled, as she quickly stuck a needle into my hand.
I let go of her, quickly pulling the needle out of me. This was poison. I could feel the poison spread all through my body, black veins criss-crossed through my hands.
"It's basilisk's venom, courtesy of your aunt, I guess she wasn't wrong in overestimating your power." Ruby spoke, her voice becoming foggy in my mind.
I tried to move but I couldn't, there was a crippling pain in my chest.
"Stop fighting it, the more you try, the quicker it spreads and kills you." Rubi grinned.
I could feel my vision blur and my legs grew too weak to stand, as I crumbled down to the ground.
"I'm so happy that I get to be the one who finally kills you since you destroyed my life. Dimitri was mine, but you came along and ruined us." Rubi pauses as she stares at the black smoke and ash in the air. It was coming from the pack house, it was in flames.
The pack was under attack.
"The attack has started, no one will survive." She told me with a wicked smile.
"But don't worry you will be long dead before all that happens--"
I screamed, mustering the little magic I had left in me to slice open Rubi's throat.
Her eyes hung wide open as she tried to contain the immense blood that poured out from her throat. With a thud, she collapsed to the floor in a pile of her own blood.
I stood up, watching the smoke coming from the pack grow bigger. I needed to get to my pack.
I tried to move but felt a stabbing pain invade me, it was the basilisk's venom eating through me, but I wouldn't let it stop me from getting to my pack.
When I arrived there was chaos everywhere. We were being attacked by werewolves.
One fierce looking wolf lunged at me which I easily sawed its head off. It crashed to the ground, thick black blood flowing from its dismembered body. These Invaders were from the Blackblood pack, Rafael's pack. We were being attacked by Rafael, he was also in cahoots with Delilah.
First I needed to get to the witches quarters to see if any witch had survived.
I moved as fast as I could, I could feel the serpent venom burn me from the inside like lethal acid but I couldn't stop, not when disaster had befallen my pack.
Thick black smoke filled the air, and the smell of death invaded my nostrils. I could see pack warriors in wolf form battling with some wolves. Dead bodies were torn and scattered all around, some belonged to the enemy but many from our pack.
I ran further to join the fight. The pack was filled with chaos as the Blackblood army had already invaded our territories, ambushing us at every corner.
I saw Alexa fighting some wolves alone. She was badly wounded, with several werewolf bites on her arm but she kept on fighting, taking down as many wolves as she could.
I jumped in to help her, slicing and cutting through anything that stood in my way.
"Luna!" Alexa called my name with teary eyes. She had a very somber look on her face that told me it couldn't be anything good.
"What happened Alexa? I saw the explosion coming from the witch quarters. Tell me what happened?" I watched as she just stared at me, not even able to stop the tears that flowed.
"They are gone... All of them." She broke down in a sob.
"What do you mean gone?" I queried. They couldn't all be gone.
"They were ambushed. All the witches in the quarter have been killed, including my sister." Alexa cried.
"No--" I gasped, with my hands covering my mouth.
'This can't be happening. It can't be.' I thought to myself.
They attacked the witches quarters first in order to get rid of the witches. Next was the pack house.
"Where's Iris?" I questioned her, fighting the pain that had begun to spread around my body.
She glanced around. "I don't know."
My heart jammed as I began to look for her among the several bodies that covered the ground. And even though I tried to, I couldn't stop the fearful feeling in my chest.
'I couldn't lose her too.'
I searched the pile of bodies but I couldn't find Iris among them. That means she was still alive.
Alexa held my hand, looking at the black criss-crossed veins, caused by the poisoning.
"Isabelle we have to get you somewhere safe to treat your wounds. You are burning up." Alexa expressed her concerns, but I couldn't care about that. Not now when we were under attack by Rafael and my aunt. And Alexa wasn't looking good either, she had claw marks on her stomach and several bite wounds on her shoulders. She was bleeding badly.
I closed my eyes, placing my hands on her wounds. I whispered a spell healing her wounds. I staggered back a little as the spell took a lot from me.
"Isabelle, are you okay?" Alexa held me up.
"I'm fine." I told her, mustering some more strength.
I tried connecting with Dimitri through the mate bond but there was something jamming and blocking our connection, it had to do with Rafael and his army.
I needed to find that bastard and kill him even if it's the last thing I can do.
"We need to get to the pack house and find the others." I instructed Alexa, who nodded in acknowledgement.
We rushed to the pack house, the sounds of wolves growling could be heard from a distance. Their sad howls filling the sky.
I spotted Iris white wolf almost instantly. She was surrounded by Blackblood wolves. But she wasn't alone. She was fighting alongside some of our pack warriors, including Stefanie, Kael.
I joined the fight, regardless of the dampening weakness in my bones, and it had started to affect my breathing as well. I was heating up. The basilisk's venom was spreading to my heart.
I conjured sharp roots and vines from the ground, which attacked, ripping through hundreds of Blackblood wolf in my path.
"Luna!" Stefanie and Kael called as they shifted back to their human forms.
"It's good to see you both still alive." I felt relieved that at least they were okay.
Iris' warm arms embraced me, as she sobbed.
"I thought something bad happened to you." Tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Me too." I said hugging her again. I didn't know what I would do if I lost her too.
"Luna we need to go now through the pack secret passage and get you somewhere safe. More red circle witches and wolves are coming." Kael notified. I could hear them approaching, there were thousands.
"No, I'm not running." I said determinedly. I was done running from everything, it was time for me to face them head on.
"Isabelle, we have to go now." Stefanie added, trying to change my mind but I wasn't moved.
I couldn't run again from my home like I did sixteen years ago. No matter what may happen I will stay and fight with everything I have.
"You all can leave but I'm not going to just run and hide anymore. They came here for me, then they are going to get me." I gritted out, as I watched Rafael's army approach.
"Then I'm staying too." Iris added. I looked at Kael.
"I'm with you Luna." Kael nodded.
"Me too." Stefanie growled.
"They already took away the last family I had." Alexa sniffed. "I'm going to kill every last one of them."
The five of us attacked, taking down as many wolves as we could. The fight continued till more of our pack warriors joined us. But the more we killed the more it seemed they grew. We were greatly outnumbered but they were outmatched.
I plucked out the hearts of the wolves that came at me, aiming for the one next to me, causing both of them to fall limp. I paused as suddenly a dark fog drew nearer, it was a dark mist making it impossible to see what was coming for us.
I could feel a sudden change in the air, I could feel dark energy. They were dark witches from the red circle, and from the enormous magical energy that charged at us, they were in great numbers and were here for blood.
"No, no! Everyone take cover!" I yelled, feeling daggers fly at us with speed. I created a shield around us, just in time to stop the silver weapons that were flying in the air charging at us, holding back all the weapons from coming further.
I groaned as I continued to hold up the shield, it was taking so much power from me.
I redirected it back, pulling down the shield. I felt sharp pains connect with my spine, crippling me to the ground.
And immediately, more of Rafael's army came into view from the fog. Red circle witches dressed in red cloaks attacked us in great numbers. But we fought back as well.
I watched as my people were slain, we were highly disadvantaged as we couldn't see what was going on around us.
"Ablas contras ke trem téilo!" I chanted, causing the dark fog to disappear. We were now surrounded all around by Blackblood wolves.
The fight was heated and with every bloody second, more of the red Circle witches kept joining. I snapped the head of one of the witches, watching her fall to the ground. My eyes drifted sideways and fell on a gargantuan gray wolf with bright red eyes, an Alpha.
Rafael.
He let out a thundering growl into the air, rippling through the trees and causing a tremble against the earth.
He shifted his gaze to Kael and Stefanie, they both noticed his presence too as they raced towards him and he headed towards them.
Three of them lunged into the air with elongated claws at the same time. I watched in terror as Rafael wolf severed their heads with a growl as he landed back on his feet, both their bodies falling to the ground lifeless
Oh my god!
I turned around, watching as Rafael's army slaughtered our warriors one by one. We were greatly outnumbered at every corner, we were ambushed by the enemy.
My eyes fell on Iris as she was now surrounded by several dark witches. Her white wolf whimpered on the ground in pain. They were killing her.
The Fates prophecy, it finally came true.
No. No. No.
"NO!!!" I screamed. I could feel a sharp piercing in my chest. My body was enveloped by a merciless pain that charged within me.
I could feel it from the depth of my soul, crushing me while it vibrated against my bones, stabbing every piece of my existence. I felt like there was a fiery pit inside me threatening to erupt.
My body became so hot, and the pain from my wounds or the poison eating me intensified. I was overcome with feelings of pain and rage.
More tears rolled down my eyes as I groaned at the burning pain, but it couldn't compare to anything I was feeling at the moment. They were all dead! No one was left. It felt like I just lost my family over again.
I failed to protect them.
I shut my eyes, as hot tears rushed down my cheek. I released a piercing scream, unleashing the chaos within.
I kept on screaming, and the chaos around me intensified. The earth broke into several cracks, creating a rift in the ground. I heard several howls and gasps around but I didn't stop, I kept on letting the chaos out. I wanted to release the suffocating pain within me, but that alone wasn't enough.
I could feel the basilisk's venom invade my soul and I felt my whole body weaken and my mind went hazy.
I fell to my knees and to the ground, losing all consciousness.
My long lashes fluttered weakly against each other once more before they gave up and I felt myself being carried away by strong hands.
Everything is over now. It was all gone.

'Everything is over now.' Do you believe that is true? Anyways, from the quote of Hermann Hesse "He Who would be born must first destroy a world.â
