My New Prison

BLOOD MOON: The Lycan Alpha's Little Witch

Isabella's Point of view

A painful and strained moan escaped from my lips, as I wriggled my body from side to side as I stirred awake. I could feel a wave of electrifying pain surge from all over my body, with the nightmares I had too vague and painful to remember and my mind flushed up in a damn chaotic haze. My heart was beating loudly within my chest as beads of sweat trickled down my forehead.

I quickly jerked up from where I laid, taking a close look at my surroundings, I couldn't recognize where I was. That was when it dawned upon me then I realized I wasn't in my own bedroom back at my apartment, nor was I in the middle of the woods where I last remembered I was in.

This environment looked very foreign and alien to me. I was in an immensely large room, sprawled at the center of a big and soft king sized bed. The gigantic double door window draped with thick and black curtains, preventing any ray of light from seeping into the room, filling it with darkness and eerie somber embrace. The only source of lights that was available to me were the lamps and candles that burned to their might. They looked freshly lit up in the room, someone was just here.

'Where in the bloody hell was I?' my inner thoughts were questioned but was met with no reply. I had no answer or any idea how I ended up here from last night.

'Was I somehow... Dead? And was this, wherever this was, the afterlife?' my panic crossed its flawed thoughts towards me.

I quickly pinched myself on the arm just to see if I was indeed dead or alive and to my dismay it hurted like a bitch.

No, I'm not dead… So not dead.

So I was still very much alive, then what was going on. Was I brought here by the shape shifter, Alectryon?

The last thing I could remember was being tricked by that shape shifter, Alectryon. He took the skin of Iris and even sounded like her, just to get me to come outside in the middle of bloody nowhere, then we fought, and he tricked me with the face of my mother. After my hesitation, he sent his freakish Talons for hands into my stomach, lacing and intoxicating me with some kind of paralyzing poison. I still remember how it burned within me before I passed out. It filled me with hallucinations.

And that was all I can remember.

I completely blacked out after that part. But since I am truly alive then how did I from the cold harshness of the forest floors end up here?

"Oh goddess!!!" I gasp, feeling a surge of pain in my guts.

A lightning bolt of thoughts struck my mind. There was only one logical explanation for all these. And it was that I have been kidnapped.

Immediately I jumped out of the bed and up on my feet, I could feel my stomach burn with every slight move that I made. I took a look at my mid section to realize that I had been bandaged up and my wounds had been properly taken care of. Whoever my kidnapper was had the decency to nurse my wounds. This means that whoever they are must still need me alive to do this but this still didn't mean I was out of the woods yet. I was still in so much danger being in the enemy's lair.

I lurched towards the grand window, pulling away those thick curtains. I peered out into the sky. It was really dark outside and the gibbous moon was waning in pure delight as the only source of light. I couldn't see anything much out there except thick tree canopies that seemed to extend out into the night.

It was already midnight, this made me all the more anxious. I wondered for how long I had been unconscious?

I can't stay here! I need to leave. Wherever this place was, it wasn't safe.

I galloped towards the door, twisting its door knob continuously but the stupid thing wouldn't yield.

I was locked in from outside. Whoever held me captive had no fucking idea what I was capable of or who the fuck he was dealing with.

I placed my hand on my wrist. That's when I noticed that my charmed bracelet was gone.

Fuck!

Where was it, I needed to get it back. It was the only thing that kept me at least off the radar from the Red Circle and my aunt Delilah. Now my magic was completely compromised, serving as a beacon for my aunt to trace where I was. Now my location is exposed to whatever wants me dead.

It was only a matter of seconds before monsters and the red circle came looking for me. I was in danger and so was anyone around me. Well that seemed like a problem for later, right now I needed to get out of here. Quick!

"Insinious" I muttered a spell that was supposed to help me unlock and open up the latch on the door but it didn't work, the spell didn't work. All I got in return was a surge of electrifying pain at the pit of my guts. I guess I wasn't fully recovered from the shape shifter's attack and poison, I couldn't access my magic. But I still had other tricks up my sleeves.

I took off the hair clip on my hair and stuck it into the keyhole. I use it to open the door as quietly as possible. Growing up in the orphanage, this was a basic survival skill I had to pick up. Whenever I was punished by the nuns and locked up in the dark attic that crawled with rats  this always got me out.

And with a click the door yielded to its defeat.

I quietly pushed it open, emerging into a dimly lit corridor. It was quiet and empty and looked like a million bucks. Wherever I was, it looked like it was a huge castle, whoever had me kidnapped was filthy rich, that I could tell.

There were a number of doors on each side, and a thousand guest rooms, but I didn't have time to spare for sightseeing, I needed to find a way out of here, before anyone spotted me.

I stealthily made my way down the stairs. The huge doors leading out were right in sight, as I quietly tiptoed towards the exit to my freedom. But I stopped dead on my tracks, stiffening in disappointment at the sound behind me.

"Well look who is finally awake." An unfamiliar voice says from behind me, stopping me from taking any further steps as I turn around to meet the stranger who kidnapped me.

But only that he wasn't a complete stranger. I remembered this face, I have seen it before.

It was one of the hot guys I saw the other day at coffee bay. This guy had brown hair and a buzz haircut. He was putting on a white t-shirt and pajamas pants, sipping on a little juice box.

He was cute, really cute. I couldn't believe that he was the monster that kidnapped me.

"The doctor said you might wake up today or probably next week. But I guess you are pretty strong, for a human, because most humans wouldn't last being unconscious for that long." He said sipping through his straw casually. His statement made me curious about how long I was unconscious.

"How long was I unconscious?" I asked him urgently and he stared at me with a small smile before saying.

"Five days." He states. But wait a minute, did he just say I was unconscious for five days?

Five bloody days!

Oh my goddess. Iris must be going crazy looking for me. She must be so worried about where I ran off too now. I needed to get in contact with her immediately.

I turned back my gaze to the stranger before me who continued staring at me with an amused smile.

"Who the hell are you?" I questioned him,

He didn't seem like a kidnapper or a monster either.

I don't know why but he didn't seem like someone that would hurt me. He seemed really nice, and had a warm look about him. I felt as though I could trust him.

"That's no way to say thank you to the person who stitched you up and nursed you back into recovery... Well one of the people. Dimitri wouldn't even let anyone touch you… Fuck, he wouldn't even leave you alone for a second. I think he has already become obsessed with you. Good luck with that one." He whispered the last part before taking another sip, then he continued.

"Anyways, I'm Gabe. What's your name?" He questioned back at me, walking around casually, dropping the empty juice box on a table.

"I'm Isabe--" I start to say but I stop myself from speaking any further.

'No, I can't tell them my real identity! I have to go by a fake name...'

"Nooo! I am N-at--alie." I lied smoothly, watching as he raised an eyebrow in suspicion just staring at me. Whatever these people really wanted I didn't want to let them know any real detail about me, until I am sure that I can trust them. Well up to this point they haven't yet done anything to make me to think otherwise. Well they haven't yet!

"Natalie...? You don't look like a Natalie to me. I was thinking you looked more like a Camilla… Rosa--or maybe Bella? But oh well we don't get to choose our names." He continued mumbling. But he wasn't totally wrong, I didn't look like a Natalie at all, his guesses were spot on because Rosa and Bella were indeed my names.

"Anyways thanks for all the help but I would really like to go now. It's been really nice meeting you." I smiled, making my way slowly to the door. I just needed to get out of here before this gets more complicated or before another monster finds me.

"Woah woah woah! You can't leave. Well that's until he decides what to do with you." Gabe informed me.

Who the hell was 'He' and why does he get to decide? Were they some sort of mafia cult and 'He' was the kingpin or something?

"Who is He?" I questioned, curious to know who he meant by he.

"Dimitri. He is the one that found and rescued you in his arms. And HE controls everything around. No one comes or leaves without his permission." Gabe quipped. Dimitri was the one in charge, their Mafia boss.

"That doesn't give your mafia boss any right to keep me locked up here against my will." I grit angrily.

"Mafia boss?? What the--" Gabe says after me, confused.

"I am not his prisoner. He may be your boss but he has no power over me." I huffed, heading for the door. Suddenly, the door opened, letting in a man with big brown eyes.

I remembered him from the coffee shop, he was the grumpy guy that I bumped into at the cafe, the one with the beautiful face and an awful temper.

Another guy also came in, and guess what it was also one of the guys I saw at the Cafe. And he, unlike Mr grumpy, seemed actually delighted to see me.

'Hot!' I heard an intrusive thoughts declare within me. Are you serious? I scolded myself mentally. What the hell was wrong with me, calling Mr grumpy hot.

But I couldn't deny it, he was indeed a unique specimen. He had a perfect face and a glorious look in his eyes. He looked like a beautiful masterpiece--a sexy masterpiece. For some minutes that felt like an eternity, we both just stared at each other waiting for one of us to speak first.

"You're finally awake," the other guy said with a smile, managing to get my attention and ease some of the tension in the room. He had black orbs for eyes with light brown hair. He was tall, around Mr grumpy's height.

"My name is Lance. How are you feeling?" Lance inquired, sounding genuinely worried about my well being. He placed both hands in the pockets of his brown jacket. And I was about to respond to his questions before Dimitri so very rudely interrupted.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?!" He questioned angrily. He was in a sleeveless black shirt that really highlighted his muscles, the shirt was ripped at the back. He had some dirt on his face, that I must admit it, made him look all the more hot.

I don't know what the hell was wrong with me. And why did I regard everything that he does to be hot?

"I was just about to take my leave. My friends and family are probably worried sick looking for me by now. So thanks for the help and for saving me but I have to leave now." I said, trying to get past him but instead he stops me by grabbing my arm roughly and dragging me back to stand before him. His tall figure looming over me, his cold brown eyes slicing through me like daggers.

"And what made you think that you were allowed to just leave whenever you wanted? You're my prisoner now. I found you within my territories! On my grounds! You could be a spy for all I know and until proven otherwise you will remain here. You belong to me!" I scoffed at his words. He must have been completely out of his mind if he thought I belonged to him. Who the hell did he think he was? A lunatic that who he was.

I wasn't some sort of property that could easily be acquired. I belonged to no one but myself.

"I don't belong to anyone, especially not a mad, raging, lunatic like you, who thinks of himself as King." I spit out venomously.

And within a blink of an eye I felt his strong hand wrap around my throat, pinning me tightly against the wall as I was left gasping for air by this raging lunatic.

His body was pressed firmly against mine as he choked me. I could have sworn for a moment that I saw his brown eyes shift from a hazel brown to bright red eyes.

"Alpha! Relax!" Lance said, while he and Gabe tried severing his grip on my neck, but not even the two of them were strong enough to do that.

What kind of crazed steroids was he on?

"Dimitri, snap out of it! You are hurting her, She isn't completely healed yet!" Gabe yelled, trying to get everything under control. Finally he let go of my throat, allowing me to breathe freely. Gabe's words must have gotten through him.

"Take her away! And keep her locked up in her room." He growled at Gabe, turning his back at me.

"Come on Natalie." Gabe said, as he led me up the stairs and back to my room. My new prison.

It was clear to me that I was a prisoner here. I need to get my magic back before I can escape from here, for the meantime I hope the Red Circle doesn't find me.
