The Blood Moon pt2
BLOOD MOON: The Lycan Alpha's Little Witch
Isabella's point of view
DIMITRI'S THUNDEROUS GROWL shook the earth, bloodlust weighing heavily in his eyes sending fear into the heart of our enemies around.
Rafael looked ahead, his eyes gnawing at the fearsome sight before him. His face turned ghost pale. He was right to be afraid, anyone who valued his very own life would. Dimitri didn't seem like his usual self, he seemed out of control, bloodthirsty... unhinged, and an unhinged Dimitri wasn't one you would wish to trifle with. I knew Dimitri always struggled to keep his bloodthirst under control but now he was embracing it.
Aside from the murderous desire in his eyes, he was shifted in between his lycan form and human form, it was like he only gave partial control to his wolf which was even much scarier because he was in complete control of the chaos he brought.
Dimitri glared at Rafael who currently had his filthy hands on me. Dimitri vibrated as his eyes were fixed on where Rafael's hands were touching. There was only one thought in his mind, it was the intrusive thoughts to rip everyone apart from where they stood, I could tell by the look in his crimson eyes.
In a fluid motion, Dimitri moved as fast as a bullet due to his heightened lycan speed; he was faster than any werewolf or vampire. His claws ripped through all of the Black Blood wolves that stood nearby, plucking out their vital organs. In unison all their bodies fell to the ground leaving only one Blackblood remaining, the vermin Rafael.
Rafael shuddered under Dimitri's fearful gaze, he immediately let go of me, trying to make an escape but was stopped by Dimitri.
Dimitri claws clutch his throat, crushing tight against his windpipes, Rafael's face was bright red.
"How dare you!!! Kidnap my mate! Touch what is mine!!!" Dimitri growled at Rafael as he squirmed trying to set himself free from Dimitri's hold but it was a futile attempt.
"P-please forgi--" Rafael wasn't even given the chance to finish his sentence before Dimitri plumaged his hand right through Rafael's chest, ripping out his bloody heart. Rafael's body fell limp on the ground, his eyes staring wide open into the night sky.
"Dimitri!" I called him. His bloodshot eyes found mine, slowly fading back into his soft hazel orbs. Dimitri shifted before me, his body forming back into his more familiar presence. His eyes scanned me to see if I was hurt anywhere, he could see blood on me from the damage caused by Delilah, but I was healing.
I was pulled into his comforting embrace, he held me tight, letting me know I was safe now. Oh gosh I had forgotten how good it felt to be in his protective arms, I missed this feeling.
"I'm sorry my little witch. I'm sorry I didn't come to you sooner." He apologized as he held me tighter, and I basked in this feeling.
"It's okay. It is okay, you are here now." I pulled away from him, looking up at the sky.
The blood moon, it was almost over. I could feel the energy of the moon slowly fading away, the auspicious time was almost gone, we needed to perform the ritual now.
"Dimitri, we don't have much time left. The Blood Moon will be over soon, we need to begin the ritual to break the curse." I said urgently. He nodded, stretching out his hand to me.
I grabbed his hands, feeling the countless lives linked to him and his curse. First, I needed to unlink the pack from him.
"I will have to unlink your life from theirs first. This is going to hurt like hell." I informed him beforehand, a twinge of concern licking at my soul, I hated seeing him in pain. This was a very powerful and ancient spell that I discovered in my family's grimoire. It was going to rip him apart, feeling himself getting unlinked from every single member of the pack. The pain will be unbearable for him, if performed on any werewolf it could even lead to death or permanent brain damage, but that wasn't going to happen to Dimitri, I will make sure of that.
"Do it Isabella, I can take the pain." Dimitri grunted, giving me an assuring look.
I nodded, drawing in a deep breath. My eyes closed tight, uttering an incantation.
"Ez queritom pitronium de unom feritosâ¦" I could feel so much energy pulsating through me. I was tapping from my ancestral magic and my magic given to me from the moon goddess also channeling and using the Blood Moon as an anchor. It would take all the power I could get to end this Blood curse for good.
Dimitri fell on his knees, his eyes flaring red. He let out a heart piercing howl, which every wolf from the Blood Moon pack heard and responded to. The spell was working, they were being unlinked from their Alpha's life force.
Dimitri groaned, clenching his jaws withstanding the pain threatening to tear him apart.
Yes. It was done!
The entire pack was unlinked from Dimitri, now was my chance to break the curse on Dimitri before the Blood Moon disappeared.
"Finit vez uño retrevo requiem le cursio...!" I chanted the spell I found in the book of shadows to break the curse. Heavy wind blew all around us.
"Blood to blood!" I sliced open my palm, using my blood as an arc to break the blood curse. My blood dripping would serve as an offering to break the curse.
I could feel the veil linking Dimitri and the curse tear down, the blood curse was shattering.
"Experido le utra fer rutrum!" I scream, hearing a strained groan escape Dimitri's lips. The storm ended and the Blood Moon had faded back into the clouds setting everything back to normal.
It is over now. Everything was finally over. We had successfully cheated death and broken the curse on the pack and the war against the Black Bloods was finished, we were victorious.
"It worked! The curse on me and my pack for decades is finally broken. After so many years I am set free from this burden I carried, all because of you Isabella." Dimitri stared at me with appreciation, marking his eyes. He was now free without the confines of a curse and the heavy sword of death hovering over his head along with his pack.
I feel Dimitri's strong arms hold on tight to my waist, pulling me into him, covering my lips with his sweet and passionate kisses. His lips are soft, but his kiss is raw and feels so fucking good.I follow his lead and move my lips against his.
"I love you, my little witch!" He rasps. And once again I'm drowning in those hazel eyes, which are now filled with so much sincerity, so much passion.
"I love you more. Nothing is ever going to come between us and the love we have. I am unafraid to spend the rest of my life with you." I say, returning back his kisses.
"I promise you Isabella, this will mark the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. One without any pain, death and fear." Dimitri voiced and I believe his words, this was going to be a new beginning for both of us, a fresh start with no enemies to fight and curses to break. We finally got a chance to start again.
I pulled him back into me. I kiss him back with all my heart. It feels like my chest is about to explode right out of my chest from all the emotions inside me. I can't help but moan as he deepens our kiss
As our kisses grew hot and intense, we were both interrupted by the pack's mindlink. It was Lance, he wanted to inform us that the war was over and that the Black Blood pack had completely surrendered. It was all over now.
This was good news too. I stopped the Dark one from coming into our world. The curse was broken. Rafael was dead and the war was over. Everything was alright.
But there was something that just couldn't settle deep within me. It all just seemed too good to be true. I couldn't feel peace, I felt weary and weak as if something was burning within me, igniting deep in me. Maybe it could be my paranoia getting the better of me or was there something still out there that wasn't done with us yet? Something that we missed?
"Come on," I felt Dimitri hold my hand, intertwining our fingers. "Let's go home." Dimitri said with an assuring smile, as we were homebound.
Whatever it could be. Whatever may still come, as long as we had each other, I knew we could survive whatever may come our way.
This was going to be the start of something new, I could feel it.

Third Person Point Of View
It was still midnight and the Blood Moon had long faded taking along all its powers with it, but there were still some dark powers that lingered and whispered in the cold night.
With a loud gasp, Rafael's eyes flew wide open. He quickly got on his feet, his obsidian orbs accessing where he was. He was butt naked, standing at a hollow and empty field, confused on how he had gotten here.
His mind played back what had happened to him earlier before now. The last thing he remembered was being at his pack, waiting for Delilah to succeed in her plans to awaken the Dark one, when suddenly they were attacked by the Blood Moon pack, with Dimitri leading the forefront.
He remembered the war and his pack being outmatched and the countless lives lost. He also could recall searching for Isabella so he could make his escape with her but he was caught by Dimitri, and had his heart ripped out of his chest, he could still feel the pain so it had to be real.
'I died!' he deduced.
A heavy pang of pain infiltrates his mind. Saying he was confused was a clear understatement. He had realized that he died by the hands of the lycan so what was really going on? How was he here?
Panic and confusion swept through his head as he questioned his own existence. If he was truly dead, what was he doing in the middle of nowhere?
'Where am I?'
'Am I really dead?'
'Is this hell?' his mind questioned begging for some reassuring answers. He placed his hand on his thumping heart where Dimitri had ripped out open, he was still alive and in complete piece.
"I'm still alive." He said with a breath of relief.
"I'm alive!" He chorused triumphantly.
"But not for long." Rafael froze in place, his blood running cold.
That voice. He had recognized that bloody voice, he couldn't ever forget what the devil sounded like even if he wanted to, I'm sure you wouldn't if you heard it too.
He had hoped that he would never get the unfortunate pleasure of meeting him again.
Everywhere suddenly grew cold and the smell of sulfur was strong. There was a suffocating stillness in the air, drawing everything around to a quiet death.
Rafael slowly turned around to find no other than Memphis Morningstar, the prince of hell whom he and Delilah plotted and wittingly summoned and captured to make a deal for immortality and powers beyond reasoning, when the devil refused to his deal he decided to keep him hostage as a tamed beast, if only he had realized sooner that it was impossible to take this devil.
"Y-Y- You are here." He stated in utter fear.
"Yes I am Raffy, in the flesh." Memphis grinned, his predatory eyes stalking Rafael like his prey. He had so many plans for the wolf. Plans that couldn't be of any good I could assure.
"But I died⦠You brought me back to life?" Rafael pieced together.
"Sure It wasn't fun having to stretch my hands into bottomless fiery pits of hell to pull you out, but it is surely going to be worth it." Memphis spoke casually, his presence growing darker. Rafael could sense the danger around the devil's perfect smile.
"Why?" Rafael questioned not being able to understand why he would go through all that to give him a second chance in life.
"I couldn't let the lycan beast have all the fun with you." Memphis drew closer to the wolf. "And oh darling, all the fun we are going to have together." Memphis grin grew wider, momentarily mesmerizing and compelling Rafael, there was something seductive in the way he smiled, it was beautiful but yet dangerous.
Rafael gulped down hard, his heart racing in anticipation.
"You had the audacity⦠To capture and cage me?! The King of the crossroads!" Memphis roared, his demeanor instilling fear in any living thing around.
"It wasn't my idea, it was the witch, Delilah. She wanted us to summon you." Rafael muttered, allocating all blames to Delilah.
"Oh yes. The dark witch. Sadly, she had managed to escape my wrath. She was lucky her niece was merciful enough to let her rot in a prison dimension for all of eternity, that is far much better than the pain I had planned on inflicting on her-- the pain I plan to inflict on you." He mouthed with a long smirk growing wider.
"Please don't hurt me. I will do anything you ask of me. I will give you anything you want, just show me mercy." Rafael groveled at Memphis' feet for mercy. He knew very well the might of this devil, he couldn't stand the wrath of Memphis.
"You brazen foolish wolf! What I want you cannot give to me. You couldn't even keep it for yourself." Memphis scoffed, his laughter sounding like a sweet melody.
"Is it Isabella you want?" Rafael guessed. "I can get her for you."
"Impudent creature. You weren't even able to keep her for yourself." Memphis scorned.
"And what I seek isn't Isabelle, what I seek is only that which she can give." Memphis smiled like a Cheshire cat. What he wanted far more than anything was one only she could give to him and he knew exactly how to get it from her. Memphis was a master at playing games, he plays a game he didn't design.
"I assure whatever you want from her you won't be able to have. The lycan, Dimitri is always by her side protecting her, making sure no one gets to her. He would even dare to battle the devil to keep her." Rafael chimed in. He knew for a fact how resilient Dimitri was, he would fight tooth and nail to keep his mate, not even the devil would make him back down.
"I'll take care of the lycan called Dimitri Castellan, eventually he won't be a threat for long. But honestly you shouldn't be worried at all about them, you should be more worried about yourself and what I am going to do to you." Memphis grinned wickedly.
"For the past six years, you kept me imprisoned in your little tower like I was a pet you could poke and prod, now I am finally free and I have all the power to do whatever I wish with you." He couched.
"Please-- please don't do this." Rafael begged.
"Welcome to your own personal hell." Memphis placed the cold tips of his fingers on Rafael's forehead smiling at the screams that tore through the wolf.
He was in complete agony living through his own personal hell in his mind, created by the devil. Where he would be stuck in a loop of being tortured, torn into bits in numerous new ways and stitched back together. It was a nightmare.
"Like music to my ears." Memphis huffed.
"For a libertine like me... there could be no better playground than this, now the real fun is just beginning!. Enjoy your peace my sweet Isabelle, soon I will come and collect what is due." Memphis snickered coldly. He had so many plans for the little witch in the new game he designed.
