None of them bet that she was still a virgin.
Although it was a fact, it was still too hurtful!
Nobody asked her if she was okay with that!
Fine. If you want to gamble, Iâll make you gamble your money away.
Gu Bailu took money out from her pocket. âFine, letâs gamble. However, you need to specify the terms of the bet.â
âDo we need to specify the terms? Just take off your pants for an inspection.â
âOf course we do. Iâm a woman, after all. How can I just take off my pants? How long will the bet be in effect for?â
Everybody whispered among themselves, thinking that it wasnât that big a deal.
The manager hurriedly came over. âWe have midwives here. The midwives of Ronghua Tower are absolutely fair.â
âWhat if they canât obtain a result?â asked Gu Bailu.
âYou must be kidding.â The manager turned gloomy.
âWho knows? There must be a time limit. If there isnât a result in two hours, the bet is over.â
The manager said in disdain, âTwo hours is too long. The result will be out before half an hour is up. Someone!â
Gu Bailu smiled and tossed the money on the counter. âAlright. I bet that you wonât know the answer to the bet.â
Everybody laughed as if they had heard the greatest joke.
Laugh now, because youâll be crying later.
Gu Bailu was brought to a room. Soon, two midwives came in together.
Gu Bailu cast a spell and set the ghost free from the bracelet. âWait for my instructions.â
âMiss Gu, donât make things difficult for us. Lie down so that we can examine you,â one of them said impolitely.
Gu Bailu stared at them. Their spiritual powers werenât high, but they had both done many bad things. One of them had even killed several babies whose spiritual powers werenât good enough.
Gu Bailu sneered. âCome if you dare.â
She waved her hand. The temperature of the room immediately dropped.
âGo now. Itâs time to do what you do. Freak them out.â
The midwives shuddered for no good reason, feeling that something was wrong.
They had barely reached the bed when a head fell from the ceiling and floated before them. Their eyes almost popped out.
The ghost opened its mouth and tried to bite them. They retreated in horror.
The ghost blinked and stopped before them. âGive me back my life.â
They collapsed on their knees. âDonât come near me, donât come near me. It wasnât me...â
âIf you do anything evil, ghosts will be drawn to you.â Gu Bailu waved her hand and got the ghost to sit next to her.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
She touched the ghostâs head. âA job well done. If they donât obey, go play with them every night.â
The midwives trembled on the ground, unable to say a word.
She was raising a ghost!
A ghost!
Gu Bailu put the ghost back into her bracelet and asked lazily, âAre you going to examine me or not?â
The midwives got back on their feet and rushed out.
Gu Bailu calculated the time. It wasnât even a quarter of an hour yet.
Soon, another two midwives came in. They hadnât killed anyone, but had still done plenty of mean things.
When they walked in, Gu Bailu patted their foreheads and cast a spell, before she said slowly, âDance now.â
The two of them began to writhe obediently.
Gu Bailu lay on the bed with her legs crossed. âGet out once youâre tired of dancing.â
They were truly eyesores when they danced.
