Chapter 10

AUTHOR'S POV

Siya and Raghav were in the car driving to Siya's hometown, Ahmedabad.

"Siya, you wanna stop here and have some refreshments?" Raghav asked while driving but got a little confused when he didn't get any answer. He turned his head towards Siya only to see her sleeping soundly with her mouth a little open making her look adorable.

Raghav smiled sweetly adoring her. "Okay maybe we can stop after an hour" he mumbled to himself.

An hour later~

Raghav parked the car near a foot court on the highway. He looked at Siya who was still in her lovely sleep.

"Siya, wake up we need to eat" he called her but after getting no response he sighed and shook her shoulder lightly.

"Siya wake up you sleepy head" he said.

"Mmhhh... five minutes please didi" She mumbled turning her head to the other side.

"Huh? Didi? Oyee didi nahi tumhara Pati hu biwi ji!" Raghav exclaimed and listening to the word 'Pati (husband)' Siya jolted upright.

[Translation: hey, dear wife, I'm not your sister I'm your husband!]

"Huh? Mhh? What happened? Where are we?" She asked with wide eyes.

"I took a stop cause I needed break from driving and also it's lunch time I'm hungry, you must be hungry too" He said.

"Umm, yes I'm a bit hungry. What should we eat?" Siya asked excitedly.

"Let's go inside we'll see what options they have" Raghav said and Siya nodded. They both went inside the food court.

"What will you have? I want to have pizza! With loads of cheese and onions!!" Siya said.

"Nope not a chance, that's not good for health Siya given the fact that you had ice-creams yesterday. We will eat healthy food. Let's eat salads, hmm? Let's go" Raghav said and held Siya's hand taking her towards the Salad counter.

"No please no salad, ghas-pus nahi khane mujhe! Mujhe khane mei swad chahie" Siya whined.

[Translation: I dont want to eat those grass and leaves. I want tasty food]

"Nahi Siya mai tumhe who fats nahi khane de sakta. It's not healthy chalo kabhi kabar chalta hai but Har ros! Nahi. Aur rahi baat swad ki tho chalo manta hu salad mei who Indian swad nahi hota isleye tum koi bhi ek healthy dal ya sabji aur roti lelo. Tumhare acche ke liye he bol raha hu Siya please understand me" Raghav said.

[Translation: No Siya i cant let you eat those fats. Its not healthy. Its okay if you have them once in a while but not everyday.  And I agree salad are a bit bland as compared to Indian foods so therefore you can also eat roti and a nice healthy sabji or dal. Please try to understand Siya, I'm doing this for your good]

"Thik hai, paneer ki sabji aur roti" Siya said.

[Translation: okay I'll have paneer sabji and roti]

"Who zyada healthy tho nahi hai but better than pizza so okay" Raghav replied making Siya smile.

[Translation: that's not that healthy but still better than pizza]

Siya eyed Raghav's plain leafy salad and mumbled, "khadus". [Annoying man]

"Kuch kaha tumne?" Raghav asked.

[You said something?]

"Enjoy your food!" Siya said. "Oh I will! You too" Raghav said. "I will with no doubt. Just smell the aroma! It's so good! Real food" Siya taunted.

While eating, Siya felt bad for Raghav as he was torturing his taste buds. "Here, taste it, you'll forget that salad after having this" Siya said pushing the plate towards Raghav.

"No I'm good" Raghav said. "Aree aise kaise, come on I can't see you torturing your taste buds" Siya said and took a piece if roti dipped it in the gravy and held it infront of Raghav.

"Please" she asked and Raghav opened his mouth and took the bite she offered with her hand.

"How's it? Way better than that salad right?" Siya asked smiling. "Yeah way better than the salad" Raghav said lost in Siya's eyes as she looked so happy.

If he knew having her kind of food would make her so happy he might have just ordered the whole menu from Domino's.

"Where are Harshad jiju and Ekansh bhaisa? They arent joining us?" Siya asked. "No they took a halt an hour ago. They asked us to join but since you were sleeping I didn't want to disturb you. But after an hour I realized you area sleepy head and I'll have to wake you up for lunch" Raghav said.

"Aren't you talking way too much today?" Siya taunted while having a bite of her food. Raghav noticed a small party the paneer gravy was smudged on her lips so he tried to wiped it with his fingers. Siya went still on her place.

Raghav locked his eyes to hers and said, "kya hua Mrs. Siya Raghav Singh Raghuvanshi? Bolti bandh?". To this Siya just shook her head as no making Raghav chuckle.

[Translation: what happened Mrs. Siya Raghav Singh Raghuvanshi. Cat caught your mouth?]

After lunch they resumed their journey back to Ahmedabad.

They reached Ahmedabad, and they went towards Shekhawat's house. Raghav is looking at the sleeping Siya, but soon came back to his senses hearing a knock on the window, he looked there to notice Harshad And Ekansh.

Harshad: shrimaan ab agar aapka taadna hogaya ho tho apne vahan se niche utarye aur hamri bachi ko bhi le aaye.

[Gentelman if you are done gawking my kid then come out of your car and also bring Siya with you]

Raghav got embarrassed, and looked at Siya. He shook her a little, but she didn't wake up. Harshad sees that and suddenly shouted.

Harshad: ohhh my god!! Samiraa tu Kab aayi, dekh Siya aabhi bhi soyi hai.

[Samiraa!! When did you came?? Look at Siya she is still sleeping]

Hearing him shouting Samiraa's name she woke up immediately and

Siya( in half open eyes): nahi didi dodo jhooth bol Rahe Hai. Mai tho jagi hui hu.

[No sister (didi), dodo (Harshad) is lying I'm wide awake]

And started looking here and there but soon realized that her jiju pranked her, and got embarrassed when she looked over to Raghav who is adoring her cute expression with a straight face.

She went out of the car and directly goes towards Harshad and started glaring at him.

Siya: I will take my revenge, wait and watch

Harshad just smile innocently

Siya: btw why we are here?

Harshad: because Krish is here too. Prashant uncle is busy with arrangements but Manat is with Krish. And lastly your sister will be here tonight. Now let's go in.

They stood at the door when Manat come and did Arti of the couple. Behind Manat was Krish who was throwing dragger at both Harshad And Raghav.

They settled themselves in the living room. Raghav noticed Krish was and still is glaring at him he looked at Harshad because he didn't introduced them.

Harshad: umm Krish (krish look at him dangerously)..... nahi before that Raghav meet her she is MANAT Siya's bestfriend, Prashant uncle's daughter. (Manat said hello to Raghav and Ekansh which they gladly return. Then Harshad looked at Krish and ) ..... he is... ( krish cut off )

Krish ( serious face and cold voice glaring at Raghav): KRISH PANCHAL Siya's brother.

Raghav ( amaze with his audacity, and answer coldly with same look): RAGHAV MANAVSINGH RAGHUVANSHI, Siya's HusBanD (smirk)

Krish looks at him in anger as if he will kill him. He then look at Harshad with same look but Harshad is now used to it. Then he look at Siya to see she is very nervous because she knows how much he dislikes Harshad And she is well aware that the same will happens to Raghav too.

Krish ( glaring at Raghav): let me tell you that there is an option of divorce. So don't you dare to think that I will let you take my sister away from me.

Raghav ( too glare at him with smirk): that's not gonna happen saale saahab (brother in-law), not in this birth.

Krish : I'm waiting for your one mistake, and you will see how I take my sister away from you. And never let you back in her life. Siya didi chal ghar pe. (Let's go home sis)

Siya started getting nervous. Harshad decide to interrupt.

Harshad: krish right now you guys are not going, Samiraa will be here tonight.

Krish (give him a cold look because he knows he dislikes this man but he is the only perfect man for his sister): hmm. Btw now I started to dislike you even more.

Harshad: it's OK, even I'm not interested to marry you. And also I know what is perfect for Siya (said while looking at Raghav) ( and Raghav looked at krish with a smirk)

Krish: don't think that if you will bring a partner with you then I will be scared of you guys, you are so wrong.

Raghav: ohh so sad but we are not here to scare you. (Smirk and look at Harshad who give the same look back)

Raghav and Harshad:  we are here to take your sister.

Krish (gasp): youuu....!!!! how dare you!!! I will not let any of my sisters go with you. Mai aapni behno ko tum jese zalimo ke sath kabhi nai behju ga.

[I won't send my sister's with you monsters, never!]

Manat: Krish eesa hai ki tu na dono mai se ek ko bhi kisi ke sath nai behjne Vala.

[Just say it Krish you don't want these to take your sisters]

Harshad: true.

Ekansh (Wishpered to siya): your brother is s.o overprotective towards you both

Siya( Wishpered back): wow bulls eye bhaisa!

Ekansh (Wishpered): he disliked Harshad for just this reason.

Siya(Wishpered): cats eye bhaisa!

Ekansh( Wishpered): so now he will Dislike Raghav too

Siya (Wishpered): it's a lions eye this time!

Ekansh (Wishpered): and this both will team up now and tease krish for the rest of his life.

Siya ( Wishpered): wow bhaisa it's all animals eyes this time. I'm impressed

Ekansh (Wishpered): thank you thank you.

While they are wishpering Raghav and Harshad got up and went to either side of krish and kept their hands on his shoulders.

Raghav: saale saahab kya lagta hai hum bina kuch investigation kare yahan tumhare samne khade hai

[Translation: Oh dear brother in-law did you think we were here empty handed?? No chance we did all our research and investigation regarding you]

(krish looked at him confuse)

Raghav: ohh let me tell you, William library adoring someone with eyes full of love.

Name: Dhwani Kaur

Age: 21

Wow she is elder then you.

College: Pannaben university, doing obstetrics.

Family: umm Noone except her elder sister and brother in law.

Boyfriend: None

Harshad: Wow saale saahab, didn't know you are a stalker too. Btw there is something else too. 31st night, drunk even after knowing Siya will kill you for doing that, still you choose to drink. Not only that after that you chose to drink and drive Wow amazing. If my PA didn't follow you then you might me in jail for drunk and drive case.

Should we inform this to your sisters? It will be so fun, we will see you get beaten up by your sisters; god satisfaction am i right, Raghav? (Smirk)

Raghav: absolutely you are hundred percent right. And also if they came to know this then he will also get marry soon it's good for him na, see how kind we are even after your rude behavior we are ready to help you. And after we get enough satisfaction we might think to save you.

Krish (Wishpered but Raghav and Harshad heard it): didi ko Pata chala to bahut pitai hogi, aur fir eesi halat mai Dhwani ne dekha to ek tho pehle se hi kabhi baat nahi hui tab tho voh mujhe judge hi karegi.

[Translation: if didi got to know about it then ill be a dead meat. And if Dhwani saw me in that situation then she would judge me. I haven't even spokento her once and if this happens then the chances will be less to none]

Krish's face turned pale but soon he covered it with his cold and straight look.

Krish: don't you dare, otherwise you are gone.

Harshad: ohh we are scared. But let us try it once.

Krish: NO

Raghav: if you don't want us to disclose it. Then you just have to do two things one promise to never drink and drive again and another is you will talk with me and Harshad in a respectfull manner. Other wise it won't take long for us to disclose these secrets to your sisters.

Krish: respect?? To thieves; no never. You guys are thieves you stole my sisters from me. You should be thankful to my sisters otherwise you guys would be 6 feet deep inside the earth for stealing something so important to me .

Raghav (scoff) : that's so kiddish, now as you are not ready doing what we asked let's disclose it to your sister.

Krish: ok ok I'm ready. But don't think I'm scared,I  just don't want to disappoint them. Otherwise I'm not scared of your stupid threats.

Harshad: whatever kiddo

Krish: I'm not a kiddo you dodo (glared at him which has no effect on Harshad)

Manat: Siya mai ghar jaa rahi hun, Kal milte hai mai mainly tumhare peg phere ki rasam ke liye hi aayi thi.

[Translation: Siya, I'm going home now, I'll meet you tomorrow. I came here mainly for your peg phera function]

Siya: peg phera?

Harshad: hain Siya, yeh peg phere ki Rasam hi to hui na tum shaadi ke baad pehli baar aapne maiyke aai ho to.

[Translation: yes Siya, this is your peg phera function right. You're coming home after marriage for the first time]

Siya: ohh , ruk Manat mujhe bhi aana hai tere sath. Mujhe change bhi karna hai, mere sare kapde waha hai.

[Translation: Manat wait I'll come with you. I need to change and my clothes are there]

Manat: great bahut sari baate Karni Hai mujhe jaldi chal.

[Okay great let's go. I want to talk to you about so many things!]

Raghav: to tum pehle aapne ghar jaa rahi ho fir jaaogi manat ke vaha jaaogi?

[So you will first go to your home and then to Manat's house?]

Harshad: Siya par tab tak tho Samiraa aa jayegi tum ek kam karna change karke yaha vapse Anjana aur vese bhi Kal tho jana hi hai Manat ke ghar.

[But Siya that will take a lot of time and Samiraa will be here soon. You do this go home change and come back here. We will go to Manat's house tomorrow]

Ekansh: but I suggest you to go by car then you might reach their fast

Harshad: voh to yeh dono sath ho to iss janam mai ho hi nai sakta. Yeh dono scooter peh Hava mai udti hai.

[That's not possible with these two, they will take their scooter and fly!]

Siya: exactly. Aur vese bhi ekansh bhaisa humko na car ki jarurat nahi hai kyunki galiyo se nikalna muskil ho jata hai.

[And Ekansh bhaisa we don't need a car it will beof no use as it won't be able to pass through the small alleyways]

Ekansh: baat to sahi hai.

[Yep you're right]

Krish: didi mere bhi le aana.

[Didi bring my clothes too]

Siya: yes, chal ab.

[Yes now let's go]

They both started the two wheeler, Manat is seating behind Siya, they stop at their regular place and sat watching the river.

Manat: Vese ladka aacha hai, sundar Sushil, sanskari, aaache ghar ka, ladkiyo ki izzat bhi karta hai. Smile bhi beautiful hai.

[Well I must say your man is mature, virtuous, intelligent and from a nice household, respects women. His smile is so beautiful]

Siya: handsome bhi hai

Manat: handsome?..... bro he is smoking hot!

Manat: Hain voh to hai. Shit.... par mujhe update deti rehna jese mai tujhe mere Har ek boyfriend ki update deti thi vese.

Siya: deal

Manat: btw ab aayush ka kya hoga?

[BTW now what will happen to Aayush?]

Siya: Manat voh sirf Mera crush tha mai ne usse reality mai dekha bhi nai hai. Sirf instagram peh dekha hai.

[Manat that was just a crush. I haven't even see  him in real life. It was an instagram post!]

Manat (concern): par Siya Devarsh pagalo ki tarah tere piche pada hai aur tho aur....

[Wait Siya what about Devarsh? He is obsessed with you! And...]

Siya: Maine yaarr tujhse kitni baar bola hai ki usski baat mere samne mat Kiya Kar mujhe dar lagta hai yaarr.

Manat: ok sorry bas. Or vese bhi ab to tu chali jayegi aur vaha tu safe hai. Mai jiju ko dekhke hi bol sakti hu voh possessive insaan hai.

Manat: Yeh last time hum eese mil Rahe Hai fir tho na Jane Kab tu aayegi yahan.

[It feels like the last time we are sitting here. We don't know when you'll return here again]

Siya( emotional): Manat yaarr tu eesa kyun bol rahi hai?? Mai aati jaati rahungi na fir hum time spend karenge.

Aur..... aur agar mujhe koi aacha ladka mila na to uusse teri shaadi kara dungj thik hai.

[What are you saying such things?? I'd return often and spend time with you and if I find a nice guy fir you we will get you married to him]

Manat ( joke to bright up the mood) : vese tumhare sath jo aaye hai voh bhi bahut handsome hai thode bade hai par I can manage. Tere sath rehne ke liye chalega.

[Well the person who came with you both is also handsome, yeah he's a bit older but that's fine I ca  live with that if that makes me live with you by my side]

Siya: aacha fir to tu unki wife aur unke dono baccho ke sath bhi manage kar legi nahi? (glare at her)......... dusht insaan voh shaadi shuuda hai aur aapne vyavahik Jeevan mai khush bhi hai aapne jokes bandh Kar. Yeh mood halka nahi kar Rahe Hai bilkul bhi

[Oh you then you can also adjust with his wife and 2 children right? You devil, he is very happy in his marriage life so stop your silly jokes they aren't helping me even a bit!]

Manat: ok ok sorry. But seriously yaarr mujhse tho laga ki iss janam mai jab mere baacho ki shaadi hogi tab bhi tu Kuvari hi rahegi maine to socha bhi tha ki teri baat Aayush se kardu par tu hai ki ek din uusko hain bolegi fir 2 din baad first uski photo dikhau to mana kardegii..

Par tu tho mujhse bhi fast nikli yaarrr.

Bade harami ho tum. Haramipanti ki Har Sima lang di.

[Okay I'm sorry, but seriously I thought you'd stay single forever. Even when my children would get married you'd still be single. I did consider to set you up with Aayush but you're so indecisive that you'll say yes one day and on the third day you won't even wanna look at his picture. But bro look at you you're even quicker than me!! You're such a pervert, you cross all levels of pervertness! ]

Siya: whatever 🙄 mujhse bhi nai Pata tha ki meri shaadi hone vali hai. Maine tho koi preparation bhi nahi ki thi, leave that Maine to aabhi khud ka mind bhi prepare nai kiya tha.

[I myself didn't know I was gonna get married. Forget that I didn't even do any preparation for the marriage, I didn't even prepared my mind for this marriage]

Manat: preparation?? Ohh shit chal jaldi chal.

[Oh shit let's go fast]

Siya: kyun kya hua. [What happened?]

Manat: jaldi chal aabhi mujhse ghar bhi jana hai mummy ki preparation mai help Karni Hai. Varna tumhari pyaarrii aunty mahakali ka roop tharan kar mujhse maar dalegi aaj.

[Let's go quickly after that I need to go home and help mom or else she might just kill me. I'll have to face her dark side]
