AUTHOR'S POV

Ekansh and Raghav reached Rathod Hospital. Even Sameer reached there. Just as they reach the informed floor, the doctor comes out of the ICU. Veer and Siya run towards the doctor

Siya: How is bhabhi? H..how is the baby? Did she stop bleeding? Both of them are fine, right? Bhabhi is good, right? Is there any complication, doctor? Tell me, how are they?

Doctor: Calm down, calm down, breathe, ma'am.

Veer: Siya calm down let him answer........ How are they, doctor?

Doctor: I'm sorry Mr. Raghuvanshi, but the patient's condition is critical because of too much blood loss. If she doesn't wake up soon, she might go into a coma, and if that happens, then there can be a chance of losing the baby.

Veer: Calm down, Ekansh and doctor Shivam please call more a more qualified and experienced doctor if needed. But save them.

Another doctor came out of the labor room in which Apeksha was admitted.

Doctor: Dr. Aditya, please call Ms.Rathod to inform her that there is an emergency.

Dr. Aditya: ok, Dr. Shivam. Who is the family of Mrs. Apeksha Raghuvanshi?

Veer: We are. How is she? And baby? How are they?

Dr. Aditya: Congratulations, Mr. Raghuvanshi. You're having a baby boy, and the patient is alright. You can meet them once we shift them in a room.

Veer: Thank you, doctor.

After this, both the doctors went from there. Ekansh and Raghav congratulate Veer. Siya is just sitting silently on a chair. It's like she can still hear Akshita's cries, and the view of her surrounded in blood is still flashing in front of her eyes. Veer explains everything to Ekansh and Raghav.

Ekansh goes towards Siya and kneels down in front of her and holds her hands, which causes Siya to flinch. She looks at Ekansh with wide eyes.

Siya: Ekansh bhaisa, what are you doing? Please get up please don't be on your knees. Please.

She stands up and makes him stand too then makes him sit on the chair and kneels down in front of him and holds his hands.

Siya: Please bhaisa. I don't want to hear anything please (said while crying) I.. I'm sorry I...it's all my fault I...if only I took extra care then this might not happens I'm sorry.....(choked on her tears) ..... i....it's

Ekansh didn't let her complete her sentence. He hugged her and patted her back to calm her.

Ekansh : shhh, it's not your fault, Siya. In fact, you are so brave you didn't panicked and handled the situation boldly. I'm thankful to you, because of you she is safe now and I know she will wake up soon don't worry ok? Now stop crying and tell me you are scared, right?

Siya: v....very much bhaisa. I... my mind got blank. I didn't know what to do at that time. I was so scared.

Ekansh: I know, Siya. I know you are still young. Raghav, you should take Siya home and let her rest.

Siya: No, I'm staying here. I don't want to go.

Ekansh: Siya don't be stubborn, go with Raghav you can come back after some time, go and take a good rest so when you meet Apeksha bhabhi maa and our baby boy they will get to see you fresh and beautiful. And also go home. Shrot is alone right. Me, Veer bhaisa, and Sameer are here. Now go bhabhi maa kise kehte hai 'ab jao jaldi jaoge toh jaldi aa paoge'..... ok go

[ How bhabhi maa says, ‘go quickly so that you can come back fast’....]

Siya nodded slightly and went with Raghav.

In the whole journey, Raghav was quiet, and because of his aura, Siya didn't dare to look at him. She knows that something but doesn't know what.

Soon, they reach Raghuvanshi mansion. When they enter, Ruksana (head maid) informs them that Shrot is sleeping. Raghav  simply nodded and went to their room.

Siya: Did he wake up while we were away?

Ruksana: Yes ma'am, he woke up once and was asking for you all, but after consoling him, we made him eat a little, and then he again fell asleep because of too much crying.

Siya (nodded): Where is he now?

Ruksana: In the nursery, sleeping.

Siya: Thank you, Ruksana

Siya goes to their bedroom.

SIYA'S POV

I entered the room to see all the curtains were closed and the room was filled with darkness. Why didn't  hukum turn on the lights?

Siya: hukum!! Aap... aaaaahhhhhhh

I shouted suddenly when someone held me by my elbow and turned me around. My eyes are closed.

Raghav: Open your eyes and look at me, hukum.

I opened my eyes and looked at him. His face held no expression, but his eyes showed anger and worry.

Raghav: Hukum, I know you did what you thought was the best at the moment but I'm a bit angry.

Siya (scared): w....what do you mean?

Raghav: Why didn't you call me? You are new to the city, you don't know the roads well. I didn't know you could drive a car, it must've been a while since you last drove a car right? You know things could have ended up much worse, you risked everyone's lives Siya. You must've been crying, you must've been anxious, driving a car in such a situation! You risked Apeksha bhabhi maa's life, you risked Akshita bhabhi maa's life, their babies, you risked y-your life…. my life. Do you realize that!

Siya: WHAT ELSE SHOULD I HAVE DONE??? (Sob) Do you even realize how hard it was for me to do what I did? No one was picking up the calls. bhabhi maa was crying, Akshita bhabhi was in so much pain. I can still see her blood infront of my eyes. I was scared as hell and I did what I thought should have been done at that moment. Do I regret it? No, I'm glad I was able to take them to the hospital before the situation got any worse. It was damn difficult for me and I've had enough now. Please stop telling me I was wrong, I'm done, I'm tired, I've felt too many emotions today I can't handle any more Hukum. So if you can't help me please leave

Contrary to my words I rested my face on his chest and cried out all the bottled up emotions. He hugged me tightly giving me all the comfort I needed.

Raghav: I told you before and I'm telling you this again I will never leave you nor let you leave me. So don't ever ask me to leave you. Understand? (Siya nodded) let me try again. Understood or not hukum?

Siya: u..uu..understood. (mumble)

Raghav: eyes on me and answer (dominantly)

I broke the hug and slowly looked at him and answered again

Siya: Under...stood

Raghav: better.

.

Raghav: Here ( passed her a glass of water )

I drank the water, still shaking a little. My heartbeat is still racing.

Suddenly, hukum took me in a hug and said softly

Raghav (said softly): It's OK......I'm sorry.....it's fine now. Don't worry just don't do something like this again. Siya every problem has alternatives you have to think from that point too. Not to take such decisions recklessly, it was so risky thank god nothing happened to you all. Siya you are important to me, bhabhi is important to bhaisa and you all are important to the whole family. Please don't do something like this again. And no ice cream and TV for a week plus once everything is back to normal you will be in the gym as punishment.

Siya (breaks hug): p..punishment and no ice cream, TV and presence in gym. No you can't do this. You already shouted and were angry. I could see horns on your head, so please it's enough now...

Raghav: No it's your punishment. I can cut the TV part but not this because now summer will  start after a month. I don't let anyone have ice cream so it's implemented on you too. And about gym nothings gonna happen you will come and that's final

Siya: but..

Raghav: no buts.....and also what do you mean by you see horns on my head? What am I huh?

Siya: han to sahi hai na aap jab gusse mai the to aapke Nandi bel vale singh nikal aaye the.

[so it's like when you were angry, there were horns on your head just like Nandi bel]

Raghav: hey stop it ok. You are doing over. Nothing like that happened.

Siya: aree hua tha. Aapko Pata hoga ya mujhe?

Siya: Matlab aap mante ho ki aapke singh nikle the eese Nandi bel vaale (says while putting her fingers on her head)

Raghav: aayy shut up ok. Maine aisa kuch nahi kaha.

[I didn’t say something like that]

Siya: kaha aapne maine suna

[but I heard]

Raghav: toh tumne galat suna

[then you heard wrong]

Siya: Matlab ab aap mujhe jhoothi bol Rahe hai?

[that means now i'm a liar to you]

Raghav: What the hell Maine eesa kab kaha?

[but when did i say that]

Siya: nahi aapne kaha. Aapne kaha ki Maine galat suna iiska Matlab yeh hua ki mai aapse galat bol rahi hun toh simply aapne mujhe jhootha kaha na.

[you did say that. You said I heard wrong which means I’m lying to you that means you indirectly called me a liar]

Raghav: what nonsense?? isses jhootha bolna Kab se kehte hai. Yeh galat hai....tum tum galat ho.... mai mai galat hun.....Veer bhaisa, Ekansh bhaisa bhi, Sameer, Vansh sab ke sab galat hai ahh........ (said while putting his both hands on his head)

[how did it mean you are a liar? This is so wrong…you are wrong…. I am wrong…… Veer bhaisa, Ekansh bhaisa, Sameer,Vansh everybody’s wrong ahhh……]

I started laughing looking at him talking nonsense. He stopped and looked at me. I too looked at him and started running around the room as he tried to catch me and soon he caught me and held me in his arms.

Raghav: Siya, I'm proud of you. Proud of you that you face the situation alone and strongly. (Said while caressing her cheeks)

My strong lady.

Siya (smile): I know that. And I'm sorry I will never take such steps again and discuss with you before taking such steps. But today there was no time and I rushed because I just did the first thing that came to my mind. Sorry. Will never act careless again.

Raghav: Never right (whispered)

Siya: Never (Raghav hugs Siya tightly with her face on his chest like he wants to hide her in his heart. They stay like this feeling eachother warmth)

We break our hug hearing a knock.

AUTHOR'S POV

Ruksana: evening sir ma'am actually prince Shrot is awake and asking for Akshita ma'am and crying continuously.

Raghav: bring him here. And prepare some snacks for him. And yeah pack Veer bhaisa and Ekansh bhaisa's clothes. And Apeksha bhabhi's clothes too.

After sometime Siya and Raghav were about to go to the hospital but Sameer too came home.

Raghav: Sameer?? Why are you here?

Sameer: Veer bhaisa ne kaha ki aap dono yaha se hospital jaoge to Shrot ke sath mai rahu issliye.

And also there is good news in this whole hectic day.

[Veer bhaisa told me to stay with Shrot as you both are going to hospital]

Siya: Did Akshita bhabhi open her eyes???

Sameer: nahi bhabhi. Doctor ne kaha ki 48 hours observation mai rakhna hoga aur iisme voh apni ankhe le to voh coma mai nai jayegi.

[no bhabhi. Doctor said that they have to keep her under observation for 48 hours and if she open her eyes in the meantime then she’ll not go in coma]

Raghav: toh good news kya hai fir??

[but then what’s the good news?]

Sameer (with smile): voh to aap khud Jake dekh le. Mujhe Pata nahi chal raha ki aaj mai khush hou ya dukhi? Aap jaiye jaldi aur dekhiye.

[you can go and see it yourself. I am confused whether to be happy or sad. Just go fast]

Raghav: tu bata dega to kuch ho jayega.

[if you tell, then something will happen?]

Sameer: abhi bata diya toh surprise kese hoga. Jao jaldi ab (pushed him out )

[if I told it now, then what’s the surprise?]

Siya and Raghav went to the hospital and they went towards veer and ekansh to see Ekansh was crying with a smiling face and Veer too had tears in his eyes.

Raghav: bhaisa kya hua hai? Aap aise kyun?

[bhaisa what happened? Why are you like this?]

Veer hugged him tightly and whispered

Veer: Laxmi aayi hai Raghav Laxmi.....kitne saalo baad......Ghar mai Laxmi aayi hai (and started crying silently)

[after so many years, baby girl (Laxmi) is born]

Raghav too had tears in his eyes and looked at Ekansh then the room where Akshita is sleeping.

Raghav: s...Sachi???......baby safe hai (veer nodded)......and it's a baby girl (veer nodded again while smiling widely)....... Laxmi...... (he breaks the hug and runs towards Ekansh and hugs him who returns the hug while smiling )

[Is it true? Is the baby safe?]

Raghav: Bhaisa.....bhaisa aap...aap kitne lucky ho.....Laxmi......it's a baby girl.....I.. I thank you thank you so much bhaisa. (Said while crying)

[bhaisa you are so lucky to have a baby girl ]

Ekansh: tu mujhe thank you bol raha hai. Aapni bhabhi maa se bol, mujhe bhi usse bhar bhar ke thank you bolna Hai par voh uuth hi nahi rahi hai.

[don’t say thank you to me, say it to your bhabhi maa. I too want to thank her so much but she’s not waking up]

Raghav: uthegi bhaisa voh uuth jayegi don't worry. I...I want to see her. Siya did you listen? It's a baby girl....it's it's a girl....kitne saalo ke baad. Shrot and this baby boy are so lucky they got a younger sister.....bhaisa we got a daughter. Hamare ghar ladki aayi hai. (Smiling like a fool just like veer and ekansh)

[she will wake up soon bhaisa, don’t worry. Siya did you listen? It’s a baby girl born after so many years in our family]

Siya(in her mind): uunko dekh ke koi na kahe ki yeh teeno voh hai jinse log iitna darte hai.

[ Are they even that scary they will think twice after watching them like this.]

Well I wanted to keep these memories in my heart only but for Apeksha bhabhi and Akshita bhabhi I have to take a video of them.

Soon the doctor brings the baby girl and gives her to Ekansh who holds her safely in his arms while smiling with tears. And then slowly everyone takes her.

Soon Raghav notices Siya is shooting a video.

Raghav: Siya! Tu ne aapne heart mai memories nai li. Yeh camera mai fit kardiya kyun?

[Siya don’t you keep all these memories in your heart that you have to record them in a camera?]

Siya: kisne kaha ki Maine yeh memories aapne heart mai fit nahi ki ??...even both the bhabhi too have the right to see how their husbands react looking at this cutiee.

[who told you I didn’t keep these memories in my heart?]

Veer: don't you want to take her? Come here. (Passed the baby to Siya who held her while smiling)

Siya: s..she is so cute and soft....aww just look at her she is sleeping so peaceful.....no no no why are you crying...... please stop

Siya has a worried look but soon the baby stops crying and looks at Siya with teary eyes seeing that Siya's eyes too gets teary.

Ekansh: Raghav tu mujhe lucky keh raha tha par yaha to meri beti ne aapni maa ko dekh ne ke baad sidha aankh kholi toh aapni chachi ko dekha. Mai lucky hu ya Siya.

[ Raghav you are calling me lucky, but here my daughter first saw her mother and then opened her eyes when she is with her chachi. So who’s the lucky one, me or Siya?

Nurse: Sorry to interfere but Mr. Raghuvanshi, your daughter was so quiet she didn't cry and didn't open her eyes in these 2 hours. So Mrs.Raghav is the one whom she looked at after coming in this world.

Ekansh: seriously.......Siya this is unfair. Give my daughter back to me. Raghav take your wife. I want my daughter back.

Siya: lo jii itne jealous bhaisa ab aap meri Tarah lucky nahi hai toh mai kya karu? Mere bacchi ne toh sab se pehele mujhe dekha nahi? (she said last line while looking at the baby)

[what can I do if you are unlucky bhaisa? My daughter wants to see me first.]

Ekansh put his hand on Siya's head and said

Ekansh: You are really lucky beta.....thank you.

Siya: what bhaisa........veer bhaisa where is our another handsome boy and also how is bhabhi maa???

Veer: she is fine just taking some rest and about your handsome man then he is also sleeping with his mother.

Raghav: I want to see him

Veer: you can but after they wake up

Raghav: ok but Siya come here give my princess to me...

Siya: nahi voh mere sath comfortable hai.

[ no she is comfortable with me]

Raghav: The audacity this girl! Ohh hello she is more comfortable with her chachu. So give her to me.

Siya: no

Saying that she sits comfortable on a chair.

Raghav: Siya......

Veer: Raghav let her be. And come to me I want to discuss something.

Raghav: I will see you.

Said and went with Veer.
