CHAPTER 26 : Confrontation in Rain

Fawad was laying on his bed waiting for Safia to return , when his phone rang . He picked it up and it was Rudhra.

"Heard you woke up" Rudhra said as soon as the phone was picked up .

"Hmm. Did you got to know who sent the men?" Fawad asked.

"I caught the men , but they are saying that they are normal thieves who just kidnapped the bride to demand money , which they got later from Seth"Rudhra told him.

"I don't think it's as simple as that . People were everywhere with guns . They might have gotten some external help to create that menace at my wedding" Fawad said while taking another sip from the glass.

"Okay , I will keep digging , and Fawad -I had to tell you something" Rudhra said and his voice sounded low this time.

"What is that?" Fawad asked.

"I have a son with Kalyani, his name is Adikrit " Rudhra told him .

"And you know this . But how ? Did you met her ? Is she alive ?"Fawad asked.

"She is alive-She is in some little flower place. She lives there too , it some kind of orphanage, where she works as a caretaker" Rudhra told him.

"So what are you thinking to do now ?" he asked .

"I dont know what to do . I want to see her , but I am scared . All my life , I was thinking that if I find her , I want to shoot her head , but now I think even if she was wrong , I want to be with her-I don't understand anything " Rudhra mumbled.

"You are in love. That happens , we often say a lot of things which we don't mean in the state of anger , but now you are calm so you are thinking about your decisions . I will just suggest , go and meet her and your son too. If she did a mistake , forgive if if you can and if she still wants to be with you , be with her" Fawad told him.

"Hmm. Okay . I will call you when I meet her " Rudhra told Fawad , and cut the call . Their calls were always short and to the point , but what made their friendship unique was that they could call the other at any time , and the other would still answer.

Rudhra drove his car away to the orphanage . He had some pics on his phone , which Trojan secretly clicked. They were of Kalyani handling small children baloons with a smile painted upon her face. He already had a plan in his mind for her and Fawad's call just gave him the much needed confidence to execute it.

On his way , the water starts dropping slowly on the window , and soon enough the rain started , making him curse under his breath.

He tried to focus , and drove . The sky was now changing its colour from orange and pink hue to dark grey .

He just put on the radio , to distract himself from his thoughts .

Abhi na jao chodkar , ke dil abhi bhara nhi~

He hummed the tone , remembering the times , he would accidentally step upon Kalyani's toes while practicing their own personal dance.

Those greyish blue walls , chipped from the sides , remain more precious to his heart rather than the beautifully painted walls , he now lives in .

Main thodi der ji toh lun , nashe ke ghont pee toh lun~

Abhi toh kuch kaha nhi , abhi toh kuch suna nhi , abhi na jao chodkar ke dil abhi bhara nhi ~

He was busy in his own world , but stopped when he saw a girl in purple saree , waving her hand as a gesture for him to stop the car .

The rain soaked her, and her clothes slightly stuck to her body displaying her curves . Her silky hairs stuck to her face and neck .

The face was so familiar to him . The face where he hand traced his hands , the eyes he have pecked, and the lips he have kissed . He stopped the car , and got out of the car . He was hesitant , after seeing her after a long time. He was sure , she couldn't see him , due to the black glasses he used as windows in his car.

Rudhra got down the car , and the girl's face dropped .

"Rudhra-" she mumbled.

The voice of song still came from the car.

"Kalyani" He called her out , and all the powerful walls he had built around himself for years , had now crumbled down .

"How are you?" Rudhra asked.

"I don't think that any of your business" Kalyani coldly said .

"It is my business . You are my girlfriend " Rudhra said while stepping closer to her.

"I am not ! The moment you started to find me to kill , it was over . I don't want to do anything with you" She exclaimed.

"I am sorry for that -I didn't knew about the reality , until Radhika told me" Rudhra said . He was devastated from inside .

"Then let it be so . I accept your apology now go away" Kalyani told him.

"Don't do this to me . I am sorry . I was stupid to even think of that ! I am sorry" Rudhra pleaded.

"I forgive you , but scram of Rudhra , I don't want to see your face , and no way you are pleading me " She laughed in disbelief . She couldn't help but remember the faces of the victim's family when they cried grieving the death of their loved ones , who were killed by Rudhra .

Throughout years , she saw all the cases , read each and every single file , to just find a glimpse of the Rudhra , she had once knew of , but he wasn't there.

"I am . I am Kalyani - forgive me please" He said while trying to grab her hand , and Kalyani just pulled her hand away.

"Scram off Rudhra . If possible , die ! You really think I am unaware of your crimes ? I can let you off about you misunderstanding me , but how can I ever forgive you for the crimes you comitted . I can't even really think that you are guilty, because since when did empty vessels like you started to have feelings?" She asked him .

"I am sorry"Rudhra repeated . He didn't knew what to say or what to do . All he wanted was to win her back .

"Your sorry won't change the murders you committed" Kalyani told him , but Rudhra just walked towards her and held her by her shoulders .

"I am not sorry for them, I am sorry if my actions hurt you . Does it look like I care about them?" He asked her.

"That's the problem, you don't care about anyone except your own freaking stupid self Rudhra !" She spat .

"So-after all this time , you never actually loved me?" He asked her , while staring deep in her eyes . The hatred in her eyes for him was unmatched.

For a moment she hesitated hearing the question, and her throat could almost ache by holding the feelings back . It has been inside her heart since a long period and she still couldn't let it out .

"You are the worst Rudhra. Who can even love you " She hissed and backed off , but he just held her closer to his own self .

"I don't care , Kalyani -I don't care about what you say . I will make you love me , and in the end of the day , it will be just you and me and nobody else between us. You can resist , you can run , but just remember I will chase you , even if you run till the end of the earth" He told her and Kalyani stared in his dark eyes , and could almost wonder , how wonderful they would have looked to her , if they didn't actually belong to a murderer.

He couldn't let her go. He wanted to laugh at his own self , that he thought that he was actually over Kalyani, when in reality , he was just distracting himself .

"Wow you are now obsessed too . What if I reject you ? Gonna kill me too?" She asked him and he just grabbed her face from the side bringing it closer to his own face . Their breaths were fanning over each other.

"I can kill anyone but you. I love you Kalyani , so much that it aches , and if any single person , who bothers you . Just take a name , and watch them die " Rudhra told her in a low while his face was still close to her . The water flowed down their faces , and Kalyani wanted to let her body fall in his arms , at the intensity of his words , but she tried to gather herself .

"Why don't you start with yourself ? Because there is no one in this world who annoys me more than you" Kalyani told him with a smirk , hoping that it conceals the effect that he has on her.

Rudhra backed off and pulled out a gun from his pocket , and put it in Kalyani's hands .

"Then kill me" he uttered and grabbed her face from the side . Using the other hand , he put the gun which Kalyani was holding in her hands in shock , towards his heart .

"Better shoot me in this darn heart , because I swear , it's the reason behind all of my actions" Rudhra said brought his face near her lips but didn't kissed her lips , instead he traced her lips towards her cheek , planted a slow peck.

"It's high time , you stop mixing the tears with the rain. Make me your villain , if it calms your soul, but just know , in return it's your love which I desire" he told her and walked off , leaving the gun in her hands . The rain kept dropping over their heads .

"EVERYTHING HAVE CHANGED RUDRA I AM NOT THE OLD KALYANI !! SO BETTER BE AWAY FROM ME" she shouted at him and shot the gun in the air , thinking it's not loaded and flinched when she realised that it actually had bullets.

Rudhra walked in the car and drove it away .

'The sky we pledged love is still the same , and so is the air we breathe , and so will be our love' He thought to himself and drove it .

Kalyani wiped the rain off from her face .

"Woah ! He was saying about love yet he left me in the middle of the rain" she laughed in disbelief .

But Rudhra's car returned after 5 minutes .

And he pulled down the glasses of the car .

"Sit down in my car - I tried to search for a car repairing shop , but it's not anywhere in my sight . Kalyani just looked away to ignore him , but he just looked at her .

"Adikrit would be waiting for you at home , it's upto you to either let your anger take the best of you and let our son wait , or just sit down like a good girl and let me drop you" He said and she sighed . She couldn't just let Adikrit wait and Rudhra's words made sense to her.

"But if I sit in your car , don't take it in the wrong way" she warned and he gave a nod .

Rudhra drove the car.

The music played , and Kalyani awkwardly stared at him.

Tadpaye mujhe teri sabhi batein , ek baar ae dewaani jhootha hi sahi pyar do kr ~

Main bhoola nhi haseein mulaqatein , bechain krke mujhko , mujhse yun na pher nazar ~

Rothega , na mujhse , mere saathiya ye vada kr ~

"Tere bina , mushkil hai , jeena mera mere dilbar" Rudhra sang the next line while looking in the mirror where Kalyani's reflection was visible .

Kalyani stared outside , to ignore him , but instead , her eyes fell on a vehicle repairing shop , which was open and the lights were open . There was no way that Rudhra won't have seen it . She glared at him , and he just bit a laugh .

In anger , she grabbed his hand to pull it away from the steering for him to stop the car.

But he just continued to drive it away , and she bit his hand hard enough to draw blood . He just continued to drive away with a chuckle.

"Where are you taking mee ??!!" She yelled.

"In a dinner party. I arranged it for us" he said with a smile.

"US WHO??!!"

There is the second update , it's late at night , but I had some classes and renovation was going at home , so couldn't charge my discharged phone too . So here we goo~
