Chapter 25

JACE POV

I left Henry in the room while I went out to call Jensen to find out where they were. He picked up on first ring.

"Hey bro, is everything okay?"

"Everything is great, the children are good and Henry is happy so I'm happy." I looked around and I was in the entrance of the hospital.

"You are so whipped bro and for good reason too. Henry is awesome."

"That he is, where are you guys anyway?"

"We're on our way back to the hospital, the kids were hungry and we saw Burger King on the way so had to get something to eat."

"Are you guys still there? Maybe you could get something for Henry and I."

"Yeah we could do that. What do you guys want?"

"I'm not sure, anything really, Henry isn't picky though you guys should hurry back so we could introduce you to the newest members of the family.

"We're on our way. See ya later."

"K bye." I hung up the phone and made my way back to the nursery where the kids are.

I stop at the door and saw Henry whispering to #2, okay I see what Henry means, they need names now.

"Jace I have the perfect names, their names are, well I was thinking of names that start with A, but then I couldn't think of middle names so I thought why not use the first letters of out names."

"That actually is not a bad idea, so what don you have for me my love?" He blushed a little after hearing that, I thought he would have been used to me complimenting him and giving him sweet names but I guess not.

"Well allow me to introduce to you cutie number one, Aiden Jacobi Cormack." He said moving close to the crib with baby #1 sleeping inside.

I guess I should start calling him Aiden now. I couldn't actually keep the smile from my face, Henry looks so cute and happy and I'll try my best to make sure he remains this  way.

"So do you like it?" he asks with the same beautiful smile on his face.

"Of course I do, so what about cutiie number two?" He wheels closer to the incubator.

"Cutie number two is my little miracle baby, he is such a little fighter, I'm gonna name him Andre Jedidiah Cormack."

"They have beautiful names darling, you're so great at this. Soon we'll be allowed to take them home and then when you're ready we can start preparing for the wedding. I can't wait to call you my husband." I said kissing down his neck and making him squirm.

"Jace stop it, our kids are here."

"They're sleeping, at least I think they are you can't really tell with these little humans." I said going further to kiss him all over his face.

"Hey, come on you guys not in front of the innocent little kids." ugh Jensen that son of a bitch.

"If you don't mind, I am trying to have a private conversation with my fiance." I like that word, and pretty soon it will turn to husband, and I like that one even more.

"Well you can have that conversation somewhere else that is not in front of the kids." He said when the children came running in.

"Daddy, look what I got." Alfie said running to me after giving Henry a hug.

"What do you have there bud?" I said crouching down to his level to talk to him, no need to brag but my son is going to grow up to be a lady killer when he gets older, such a little cutie, my little cutie.

"Aunt Lacy got me a race car with red flames on the side. Isn't it awesome!" He exclaimed excitedly.

"Of course little guy. I heard you guys went to have lunch, what did you get for your Daddies, we are so hungry." he looks up at me in thought before answering.

"Will Uncle Jensen got you guys burgers and milk shakes and chicken and fries and soda and chicken and, and, ketchup."

"That sounds awesome." I stand up and look around the room, everyone was present. Lacy was talking with Henry and was looking into the crib at Aiden who was still sleeping. While Henry had Aaron and Anaya on his lap, the lloked like they were talking about something very important, well important for the kids.

Jensen was just on his phone texting God knows who.

"Alright listen up." I said getting all their attention but then I saw Aiden making a fuss in his crib and Henry was otherwise occupied he looked at me for help. I went to the crib to pick him up.

"I would like to introduce you to the new members of our family. This," I gesture to the baby in my arms.

"According to Henry, this little cutie is Aiden Jacobie Cormack." I say giving him a kiss on the forehead. He had just woken up the moment I called his name and let out a cute little yawn.

Aaron and Anaya came close to take a look at him but Henry had his hand open and he urged me to hand over the baby to him. With the baby in his arms, the children all flocked around him, saying how their baby brother is so cute and pink.

I on the other hand went to the incubator where Lacy was currently standing looking at the motionless baby in there as he was currently sleeping, it would soon be time for them to eat since Aiden had already woken up from his nap.

"And this is Andre Jedidiah Cormack." Looking at Andre I realised how much more important my family is to me. He still has problem breathing so he connected to respirator, a heart rate monitor and everything else needed for him to survive in there for the next few weeks he is required to stay in there. The doctor said he could recover much earlier and be moved from the NICU.

"Excuse me sir, its time to feed the kids." A nurse said drawing my eyes away from my son in the incubator.

"Oh we can handle that, just give us the formula."

"Yes well the thing is that the head nurse is required to connect the tubes to feed the little on in the incubator but as for the other one of course you can feed him." Oh.

I look at Henry and I see that he looks distressed. I know how much he worries about Andre and how him being in there bothers him.

"Okay, no problem, where is she?" I asked the nurse.

"He is on his way, he is getting everything ready." She said before leaving.

"I guess it's time for you guys to take the kids home, they have to start school tomorrow since the mess with their mother is done." Turning to Jensen.

"Where is my food?"

"Don't get your panties in a twist, it's right over there."

"Thanks, kids you have to go home with you uncle, your dad and I have to stay here with your brothers, I will come home later." They all came to hug me one by one and then they went to Henry's side and they didn't want to leave his side, it's so cute.

They gave him kisses on the cheek and attempted to do the same on Aiden. Then they wen to the incubator and said goodbye to Andre.

"Bye Andre, we're going to miss you. And we are going to be coming ere everyday until the day you get to come home with us and then we're going to live hapily ever after like one big happy family." Anaya said. I was surprised because this was the longest sentence I've heard her say. She is the quiet one no matter how loud her brothers are. But at three years old she is a lot more active than the both of her brothers combined.

By the time the nurse came in with the formula for the babies, Jensen, Lacy and the kids had already left. The formula was handed Henry who went on to feed Aiden while watched Andre get fed through a tube.

I had my lunch whike Henry cuddled Aiden before putting him to sleep. He kept on looking at a sleeping Arden through the glass. I have a feeling that this premature birth is affecting Henry a lot more than he's letting on. He must be feeling a lot of emotions right now, guilt being at the top.

He told me he was sad that he wasn't strong enough to be awake for the birth of he twins and he blames himself for Andre's current situation. The best I can do for fim right now is be there for him and help him through this difficult time until he learns to forgive himself, until he knows that it  wasn't his fault.

If that doesn't work, I have to look into finding the best Psychologist that can help him move forward.

"Henry come on let me take you back to your room." He looks up at me in disress.

"I can't leave them Jace, what if they need me?" He's breaking my heart.

"They are going to be fine, I promise. You need to take care of yourself so that you can be strong enough for when they do need you. They are going to be okay trust me." I tried my best to reassure him. He ended up relenting and allowed be to take him back to his room to rest.

I picked him up and put him on the bed when we got to the room.

"I'm going to get you something to eat since you barely touched your lunch, I'll be right back. Try to get some rest."

I made my way to the hospital cafeteria to get him some fruits since he doesn't seem to be in the mood to actually eat anything. My journey to the hospital cafeteria was eventful, and not the good kind if you could call meeting your Ex in the same building as your fiance that.

I left Henry's room and was already on the elevator that would led right to the cafeteria when the elevator doors opened and I saw someone I have not seen in years. Honestly why does this alway happen to me, I always knew my colorful past will always come and bite me in the ass sooner or later.

His name is Blake and we used to go out in high-school, he was actually my first actual love. I had always been a fuck boy but he was the first person to actually capture my heart. Obviously it didn't end well.

He is the last person I ever thought I will meet in this hosital.

Our eyes met and he looked genuinely surprised to see me and I'm sure the same look of shock must be showing on my face.

"Jace, wow, what a surprise." You're telling me.

"Hey Blake, how are you?" I said trying to be friendly. the elevator moved at a slow pace like it was trying to torture me.

"I'm doing fine, everything is fine." He said tucking a piece of hair behind his ear.

"So what are you doing here, you don't sick or anything from what I can see, are you okay?" he chuckles.

"Still the same old Jace, always worrying about me. Well if you must know, my husband was in an accident. I just came to drop off some of his things since I won't be available tomorrow."

"You're married huh, who's the lucky guy?" The elevator opens and we get off, turns out he is following me, this should be interesting. I tried to hide my discomfort, well not exactly discomfort as much as it is awkwardness, the strange situation that is this.

"His name is Wesley, we met six years ago and have been married for three, we were planning to adopt, already been to the orphanage and everything."

I got a tray and selected the fruits I knew Henry liked while he talked.

"Wow, that's really nice, I'm happy for you."

"What about you, what is going on? The last time is saw you, you were still inn your bad boy phase." He said smiling. I smiled too because back then I was a horrible person and that was part of the reason that we broke up.

"Believe it or not, I have changed, I went to college, got married, started a company, had kids and even divorced." The look of shock came over his face again.

"Seriously!! You- got married!! damn you really did change, you were always one for parties and having fun and sex. Commitment really wasn't your thing. I guess I believe that people really do grow up."

"Yeah I guess they do. Let's take a seat, i guess I have some time before I have to go back upstairs."

"I haven't asked you what you're doing here, you also look fine to me. Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm actually here with my Fiance, he just gave birth, to twins." I said with a proud smile on my face.

"I'm sorry did you just say HE just gave birth?" I was confused for a second before I realised that he was confused since only women could produce children. It had become normal to me because I lived it and saw it happen but it isn't normal for everyone.

"Yes, yes I did."

"I don't mean to come off as rude, I know we aren't that close anyore but how did that even happen?" The confused look on his face made me want to laugh out loud but I didn't want him to feel as though I was making fun of him so I answered.

"Well long story short, he got pregnant. I don't really know how to explain it to you but that's what I gathered from nine months of endless moods wings, cravings and an endless amount of emotional roller coasters."

"Oh how is he, is he doing fine? This is the first time I'm hearing of a man giving birth and I won't lie, I'm curious." of course he is, I mean who wouldn't be if they found out that a man just gave birth.

"Well he is doing fine, I actually came down here to get him something to eat." I said gesturing to the tray in front of me.

"Speaking of, I have to get this to him. I told him to rest but I want him to eat something first."

"Oh, well he is lucky to have you, I hope we can get coffee sometime and hopefully I can meet him. Can we exchange numbers?"

"Yeah of course." We exchanged phone numbers and I stood up to leave.

"Bye Jace, hope to see you soon." He said getting up too.

"Bye." I turned and left since I had gathered all I need for Henry.

I went to the room and found him sitting up on the bed deep in thought.

"Hey babe, I got you fruits, is that okay?" He nods.

I watch him eat and when he was done I took the tray from him and set it down. I took Henry in my arms and then he fell limp in my arms like he was finally breathing easily for the first time today.

"It's going to be okay baby, they're going to be okay. You just need to rest, I'll still be here when you wake up."

"Okay, you better not go anywhere unless you're checking up on the kids. You have to make sure they're okay."

"I promise I will now sleep."

I watched him until he fell asleep. I don't know how long I stayed there in that position but I felt like I couldn't leave his side. I don't ever want to be without him by my side.
