"So tell me wassup?" I ask Ty while creeping towards her.

"Back up girl. You gonna get me wet"

Fuck what she saying cause that don't sound like a bad idea. When i got closer to her, i threw my wet body onto hers.

"You were saying?"

"You aggravating"

"Mhm hmm" I wrap my hair tighter in the towel and tighten my body towel and lean in closer to her.

"Aumani!"

"Arayah"

Ty's face dropped.

"How'd you find out?"

"So Wikipedia do be right"

"Wikipedia? Out of all things? And you looked me up?"

"Don't flatter yourself"

She shrugged and turned her attention to her phone.

"When you gonna get your wet ass off of me?"

"I'm not" i retort turning and laying on her stomach, in between her legs.

"Oh my gosh"

"Girl please. You love it"

She smiled humming in agreement.

"Why don't you talk about your parents? You've met mines"

"You never ask"

"I'm asking now" i say fiddle with her necklace.

"Well, I don't have parents. I just have grandparents and my little brother. They are who raised me"

"Mhm"

"Mom and dad died getting revenge for my brothers death when I was 6."

"Oh damn. I'm sorry"

"It's not your fault"

"Your grandparents, how are they?"

"They my world. I moved them to Texas when I moved but they wanna move back. You wanna meet them? You would love them"

"Maybe"

We sat in silence for a while and then I got up to put on clothes.

"You look good in my shirt" she compliments while staring.

"Take a picture. It lasts longer"

She shrugged taking out her phone.

"Stay still"

I put my hands by my side and smile.

"Why you gotta be so weird?" She asks still taking pictures.

"You love it"

"Can I see em? Make sure I don't look bad"

"You never look bad"

"One day you gonna see"

"See what?" She asks looking over her forehead at me.

"How bad I can look"

"That day should come and ill be blind"

"You're so bad for me" I say throwing my leg across her forehead.

"Mhm hmm" she replies as she moves my leg from her forehead to her leg and pulls me across her body.

"Stop staring at me. I'm gonna turn ugly" I say covering my face.

"No" she replies moving my hand so i turn away from her.

"Hmph" she pouts then kisses my cheek then begins deepening the kiss and then bit it.

"Did you just bite me?" I say holding my face.

"Come here. Let me kiss it"

"No" I say sitting up.

She grips my waist as she raises herself up as well.

"Come here" she says seductively. If I wasn't so tough, I would've went but im hardheaded so I roll off of her lap and lay beside her.

"You so hardheaded" she says throwing her arm around me and kissing my forehead.

"Can you tell me wassup now? The news?"

"I'll tell you when the time is right ok?"

"Ty'Elle"

"Ian tryna interrupt the vibe right now" she says squeezing us closer, putting our heads together.

"So it's bad? Just tell me. Get it over with" I say opening space between us.

"Autumn"

"Ty can you just tell me"

"It's not bad"

"So what is it?"

"Autumn"

"I need water" I say softly and make my way to the kitchen.

"You didn't have to follow"

"Your phone is blowing up"

"Fuck them right now"

"Who is it?"

"I don't know" I say drinking the water bottle.

"Huh?"

"Nothing"

I drank the water and walk past Autumn to her couch and lay on it.

"Autumn come to bed"

"It's ok"

"Autumn"

"Ty'Elle. We don't have to talk about it ok. Ima leave it alone"

"So that means we don't talk at all and you leave me alone?"

I don't answer.

"Come here. Let's talk" she says extending her hand to me. I take it and I walk over to the island and take a seat on the stool.

"I'm so proud of you Autumn" she starts while directing my graze to her.

"Can you get straight to the point?"

"I won't be attending AA anymore"

"Why not?"

"That doesn't mean I'm not sober or I don't support you or myself" she says cuffing my face. I stay quiet waiting on her to finish.

"I heard your interview"

"So you heard the songs?"

I shake my head no.

"Sure don't sound like my biggest supporter" she jokes and I chuckle a little. She smiles at me.

"There it goes" she says referring to my smile while caressing my face and grazing my lip with her finger.

"I'm proud of you too Ty'Elle. And you make me the happiest. With you I feel like the greatest woman in the world. You erase my past and make a house fire at midnight turn into a rainbow and sunshine. I love being around you no matter how much it pains my pride to admit it"

I grab her shirt and pull her closer.

"I might love you Ty'Elle"

"I might love you too Autumn"

Pulling her that one inch closer, our lips gently smash onto each others and we kiss.

Ty's hands find my waist and she pulls herself in between my legs.

Not wanting to, I pull away. Her eyes find mines searching for "what's wrong?"

"I have not kissed many people but I know a goodbye kiss"

"Autumn"

"Tell me" I rest my hand on her chest and looking away.

"I'm not leaving" she says taking my hand from her chest and neck and held them.

"So what's up? My times up?"

"Don't say that"

"So what is it"

She tilts my head up to her.

"I'm going on tour"

Taken back a bit, I sit up straight genuinely confused. That's not bad.

"That's good Ty'Elle. Why you acting like that then?"

She shrugs.

"Well I'm proud of you!" I say lightening up the mood, still genuinely confused as to why the mood is dim.

"When does it start? This is so good. I'm proud. Fix your face" I say pecking her lips. She pecks mine and we kiss again but this time for a shorter time.

"I don't like this feeling I'm getting in my stomach. What are you not telling me?"

"Nothing"

"Yes you are keeping something. You just told me an amazing thing but you still acting like you're dying"

She stays quiet.

"Are you dying?"

"No Autumn"

"So what is it?"

No answer.

"Ok whatever. Let's just get back to this tour yeah? When does it start? Are you performing the songs you wrote?"

"Tomorrow. I leave tomorrow"

Taken back by her answer, I slouch down.

"Tomorrow? When did you know you were going on tour? How long did you know?"

"I knew when we first started talking"

I sit back.

"But I knew I wanted to get to know you. That's why I kept coming around"

"Wait so you used me?"

"No. Never used you"

"So you make me like you then you up and leave?" I say softly not wanting to argue.

"Autumn I wasn't planning on leaving without you"

"So you just thought a stranger was gonna come on tour with you?"

"You're not a stranger but I knew you weren't gonna come anyway because your embarrassed of me"

"I'm not embarrassed of you"

"So why you never wanna hold my hand in public or post us or take pictures with me? You won't even let me tell the world who I've fallen in love with"

"Don't say that. Don't say you've fallen in love with me. And don't try to turn this on me. You're leaving"

"I do love you Autumn. You not listening to the songs"

"Ty'elle please. I don't wanna do this with you"

"So don't. Are you coming with me or not. Are you embarrassed or not"

"I'm not embarrassed of YOU TY. IM JUST PROTECTING MYSELF" I say raising my voice out of irritation.

"PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM WHAT?"

"not tonight Ty'elle" I say getting up and walking to her room.

"Yes tonight Autumn. Please tell me what you're protecting yourself from? Tell me so I can protect you too" she pleads.

I don't answer in attempt to keep my tears back.

"Why you getting your stuff? You leaving?"

No answer again.

"Why you leaving?"

"Autumn?"

I continue getting my items and head out her room to the door.

"Can you just answer my question?"

"What question Ty'elle?" I ask as my voice cracks.

"What are you protecting yourself from?"

"I was protecting myself from you. From falling for you but it's too late and I failed and I'm protecting you from me. Be grateful" I say reaching to open the door.

"Why? I don't need you to protect me. You say that like you're a killer"

"I AM TY'ELLE. I STARTED A HOUSEFIRE WHILE DRUNK AND KILLED ALL OF MY GREATEST FRIENDS. IM A MURDERER AND YOU LOVE ME. YOU WANT TO MAKE ME VIRAL. THEY WILL FIND OUT MY PAST AND FUCK UP YOUR FUTURE. BE GRATEFUL" I say leaving out of the apartment and slamming the court.

3rd pov

Ty taken aback by Autumn confession stood inside the apartment still in silent shock.

"What?" She questions herself but before she could answer herself she broke down right in the spot she stood in.

Sadness overtook her body. As she curled up at her knees and wallowed as she grieved the departure of her ex lover.

Getting out of the elevator, I speed walked out of the building and went wherever my feet took me until I ended up home, in my mom's bed crying as she held me.
