Chapter 40

Back to the beginning.

(BL) Help! My best friend is obsessed.

- Kaizers POV -

I was sitting in my office, working on some problems. Apparently, some stupid client messed up with some forms of theirs, so now I gotta fix that shit. There goes my peaceful, quiet day.

I sighed and clicked on some things on my computer, texting some people who could fix this mistake. I swear to god, I sometimes hate business life.

A knock on my door broke me out of my focus and I got even more irritated.

"Come in.." I grumbled as I leaned back in my chair.

My assistant, Brian, walked in with an ugly, revealing outfit. Typical.

"What now? Didn't I tell you I'm busy?"

He put a coffee cup down on my desk and smiled.

"I came with great news! You know the investors from England? They invited us for a formal dinner to talk more about the deal. They will pay all expenses!"

I glanced up at him.

"And why would we need that deal?"

He rolled his eyes. "They want to invest 1.2 million dollars for only 20% of your company! It's basically free money!"

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Plan it for me then. I'm too busy for this bullshit."

I stared out the window as my private jet took off. I was never a fan of flying, and even worse? Flying from America to England takes like 7 hours. Fucking hell.

Brian was basically jumping in his seat next to me, talking about all the things he planned and how excited he was. I just blocked him out as he talked about how much he wanted to feed squirrels in London, or to see the Big Ben. I honestly don't get how excited someone can get over a fucking country.

I felt Brian's head falling on my shoulder. I cringed as he drooled and I pushed him off. I stood up and decided to sit somewhere else.

The jet finally landed and I immediately got out.

"Brian, note this down. Remind me to never fucking fly for some stupid ass fucking deal in England. Fucking hell.."

I stretched my legs and walked to a black car that was waiting for me. My trusted driver, Caleb, got out and greeted me with a nod. I had made my bodyguard and driver go earlier so that everything would've been done when I arrived. I got in and Caleb drove me to the hotel. He checked me in and we said our goodbyes. I got into the elevator and groaned. Can't wait to sleep...

My bodyguard, Xavier, was already in the room, sitting on the couch. When the door opened, he immediately stood up and bowed. I gave him a nod and took my shoes and jacket off.

"The room across is my room, sir. Brian's room is on the left, and Caleb's room is on the right. The telephone on the wall is connected to every room in the hotel. I have written all our numbers down on a paper and put it under the phone. I'll let you rest now."

I nodded, too exhausted to listen. I went to my bedroom and immediately got on the bed, not caring to change into my pyjamas.

The next morning when I woke up, I saw that all my clothes had been put in the closet, and all my stuff laying around. I thanked Xavier in my mind and got up.

The dinner with the investors was tomorrow, so I had the day free. I got ready to start the day and put my shoes on. I guess I'll just look around, otherwise Brian will whine. Fucking annoying shithead that he is. Jesus.

Caleb had driven me and Xavier to London. I didn't bother to tell Brian that I was going to London. I wanted a day to myself, not me and my obsessed assistant.. did I mention that he annoys the shit out of me?

I walked through the busy streets with Xavier calmly walking behind me.

After a long day of walking around and going into stores, I went to a park and sat down. I had bought a sandwich earlier and quietly ate it. Suddenly, a squirrel crawled up my leg. I huffed, amused, and tore a piece of my sandwich off. I laid it in front of the squirrel, on top of my knee and he quietly ate it. I didn't know that squirrels were so friendly in England.

I quietly sipped my red wine as I listened to the older men talking at the table. Maybe this deal was a bad idea. I have been sitting in this expensive restaurant for two hours, and we still haven't discussed the deal.

When my glass was empty, I put it down and decided to get this over with.

"So, gentlemen, let's discuss the deal. You offered 1.2 million dollars for 10% of my company?"

The man in front of me nodded, possibly the boss.

"Yes indeed, Mr. Raiven. I have some pape-"

"I'm not interested." I said coldly.

All the men looked astonished, not knowing what to say.

"Uh.. w-why not..?"

"20% of my company would give you 1.2 million dollars after owning it for... 14 years. That would be a disadvantage for me, besides, I'm not desperate for some worthless old man's money. Waiter!"

A girl with brown hair and a nice smile walked up and stood in front of me.

"Yes, sir?"

"Mind bringing another red wine bottle?"

She shook her head and headed to the kitchen.

All the older men at the table just stared, some of their mouths dropping open. I heard that being rude wasn't appreciated here, but I don't care. These men are clearly trying to scam me. They can choke to death for all I care.

I silently stared until I flinched as I felt cold drink falling over my suit and a glass shattering. I stood up with a frown and cursed. I grabbed a piece of paper and tried to dry it off.

Fucking hell.. it's red wine.

"Can't you fucking watch where the fuck you're going?! Jesus christ! Look what you've done!"

My bodyguard immediately stepped towards me and tried to help me with drying while he glared at the waiter. I heard him stuttering and running off. Fucking prick. Not even saying sorry?

The nice woman waitress ran up to me with wide eyes. She handed me a towel and apologised profusely.

"I'm so sorry sir! I don't know what came over him!"

I scoffed and rubbed the towel over my suit and pants.

"Bring that idiot over here and make him apologise. Or I will make him pay for my suit."

She nodded and rushed off to the kitchen, probably where that fucker ran off to.

After a few seconds, I saw someone running out of the kitchen and out of the restaurant. I heard the waitress yell after him, trying to catch up with him.

No way I will let that fucker get away.

I rushed after him, leaving the older men and my bodyguard in shock. I saw him running in the distance through the busy streets.

After a while, I finally catched up and grabbed his upper arm. I pulled him to me.

"You better fucking pay, you di-"

My grip loosened and all the anger left my body. I stood back straight up as the waiter ran away and turned a corner, leaving my sight.

I slightly smiled to myself.

I found my home.
