Chapter 42

History is always repeating itself.

(BL) Help! My best friend is obsessed.

- Ethans POV -

I had taken a little break from work with my boss' permission. I had fallen into a depression since that day for a week or so. After I felt better, I decided to go back to work. Rosa and Kyle had been asking what the fuck happened and why I ran away and stood away for so long. I had avoided any questions about my disappearance.

Look, I trust them with my life, but my past gone. Over. Like it was never there.

——↟❣°°❦°°❣↟——

Since Rosa said I looked extremely down and depressed, she forced me to go to a party with her and Kyle tonight.

'Just to loosen up a bit, girl!' She said.

Of course, I and Kyle knew the truth. She was going there for the alcohol and she wanted us to get drunk with her. She always took us to parties, just for us all to end up black-out drunk, doing dumb shit.

It was always the same, but me and Kyle could never say no to her.

So, here we stand. Kyle and Rosa doing a race about who can drink more vodka shots. They said I am the coach. I was fine with it, since I didn't want to drink too much. I mean, they need a driver home anyway.

Last time we went drinking and all got black out drunk, shit went down. Like down.

We, of course, didn't remember SHIT. Only reason why we knew what happened that night was because of a friend of Rosa's.

Okay so, they told us that all 4 of us (Rosa's friend too) got into a taxi and paid the guy to go to Kyle's house.

But guess what?

It was JUST our luck that the driver was a little freak! So no, he did not take us home!

He dropped us off by some friend's place of his, and all these gang members walked out!

Last thing that that friend remembered was Rosa throwing hands like some fucking boxer.

Anyway, we all woke up in some random ass alley, with our stuff missing. And Kyle and me had some bruises.

Guess we got jumped...

So no, I will never order a taxi black-out drunk again. I'll just call someone to pick me up.

Anyway, Rosa was winning and going fast. Kyle was by shot 3, and she was already at 5, not even stopping to breathe...

She's better at holding her beer than those abusive boyfriends of my mother.

Of course, Rosa won in the end. Kyle gave up with a smile and congratulated her. I mean, I could never. I'm a sore loser.

——↟❣°°❦°°❣↟——

Rosa stumbled against me and yelled in my ear as she leaned on my shoulder.

"Hey! Eth! Follow me!"

I sighed as she slurred her words and nodded. I had to hold her by her sides so she wouldn't fall face-first.

She led me to the living room, where a few people were sitting in a circle, including Kyle.

There was a bottle in the middle, laying flat. I mentally facepalmed myself.

Rosa sat down and smirked up at me, motioning for me to join the circle.

"Come on, Eth!"

My lips pressed in a thin line and I shook my head firmly. No way I will kiss some drunk stranger. The fuck.

Rosa rolled his eyes while Kyle laughed softly.

"I'll just watch to make sure y'all don't do something stupid."

I sat down on a couch and watched as the bottle started spinning.

It was honestly fucking gross, watching people eat eachother's mouths out. After 3 rounds, I decided to go on my phone.

Suddenly, people started snickering and yelling: "Do it!"  "You got this!"

I frowned and looked over my screen, seeing the bottle stare right at me. I rolled my eyes and looked at who had spun the bottle.

Kyle smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck.

"No.. he isn't playing.."

I shook my head and went back on my phone.

I had to pee so I told Rosa really quick. I mean, they can survive without me. I'm not a babysitter...

After I came back, Kyle walked up to me with a smile and held his hand out.

"Want to dance?"

I huffed in amusement and took his hand. He led me through the house to the room where music was playing loudly. Bodies were jumping up and down, rubbing against eachother. The smell of sweat and alcohol filled my nose and I cringed.

He pushed through the crowd, pulling me along with him, until we were somewhere where we could atleast breathe air.

"Ugh.. that was horrible..."

A shiver of disgust ran down my spine, remembering how someone touched my ass while we walked through the crowd. Kyle laughed and pulled me closer as he began to swing to the music. I awkwardly moved a bit.

I was NOT fan of dancing at all. It just feels weird to do. Like, dancing out of no where? How the fuck does that work?

Kyle smiled and put his hands on my waist as he danced drunkily. I rolled my eyes and let him take the lead.

I was watching other people dancing, talking, drinking. I felt a hole being stared in my head and I looked back up at Kyle.

He was staring down at me with a twinkle in his eyes, a strong emotion glancing in it. I couldn't describe it, but it made me feel uncomfortable.

"You look beautiful." He whispered in my ear so that I could hear it above the loud music. I shivered, even more uncomfortable as his breath hit my ear.

I saw him staring at my lips and back up at my eyes, smiling softly.

Just my luck!

I froze as he suddenly started to lean in slowly, taking me by surprise. I knew he was bold, but not this fucking bold.

I was frozen in shock and surprise, not knowing what to do. Before I knew it, his lips pressed against mine and his moved against mine slowly.

I couldn't move my face or even talk. I probably look stupid as hell right now, big, wide eyes and my mouth dropped open.

Something across the room caught my eye, making me forget that Kyle was currently kissing me.

There was a tall man in an expensive suit leaning against a wall. I watched as he drank from his beer bottle, watching me. His expensive watch glistened in the light while his face was covered by shadows. His dark, stormy, grey eyes pierced through my soul and I stared in horror.

How did he find me?

I couldn't breath and pushed Kyle off of me. He looked at me with surprise and hurt.

"Hey, what's wro-"

I didn't let him finish his sentence, not even looking at him. All I could see was that stare from those eyes. The stare that always succeeded to send a shiver down my spine. The stare I saw after murdering my mother.

His stare.

I slowly backed away, eventually turning around and running off. I pushed through people, not bothered to apologise. I heard some cussing and yelling behind me, but I ignored it all. My mind was completely focussed on finding an exit.

I saw the front door and sprinted out. Sorry, Kyle and Rosa, but you guys need to pay a taxi.

After running for a while, I leaned against a wall and gripped my shirt, the piece over my heart. My ears were ringing and my head ached as all the memories came back.

All the memories that took years for me to forget.

I was entering a panic attack and breathing air got more difficult by the second. I felt like throwing up.

How the fuck did he find me?
