Chapter 128
The Princess and the Paupers Novel Full Episode
Who knew what kind of things that guy would be into?
The next day, before the crack of dawn, Serena was already up and getting dolled up. She deliberately
chose a black cami dress; her hair was piled high on her head, exuding an aura of elegance and
dignity
âSerena, youâre dropâdead gorgeous!â Martha said, helping her put on a dazzling necklace. âYouâre
way prettier than Ms. Bennett in this getup.â
âMartha, donât sugarcoat it, I know Iâm not as pretty as my sister.â
Even when Arabella was dressed down, her aura and her pretty face outshone everyone else.
Marthaâs expression froze for a moment before she laughed and added, âMiss Serena, your features
are bold and striking, just like someone from a wellâoff family should
beâ
âDo you think Romeo will like what Iâm wearing today?â Serena looked at herself in the mirror; her skin
was delicate, her brows were clear and bright, and she was noble and elegant
Martha sincerely admired her beauty: âIf I were Mr. McMillan, I would have been totally smitten by now!
Miss Serena, be confident; youâll definitely be the belle of the ball!â Just then, Holly knocked on the
door and said, âMiss Serena, Mr. McMillan is here. Ms. Bella hasnât woken up yet, and the lady of the
house is still asleep. Would you like to go down and greet him first?â
Upon hearing this, Serena couldnât contain her excitement. She hurriedly touched up her makeâup and
went downstairs ahead of everyone else.
Romeo wanted to see his crush early, so he arrived forty minutes early. He told Edith not to wake
anyone up; let them sleep in.
When Serena came downstairs, she saw him sitting on the sofa. His aloof demeanor combined with his
dignified figure made him unspeakably handsome..
âRomeo, why are you so early? My sister isnât an early riser.â Serena approached with a smile. âShall I
pour you a glass of milk?â
âNo need.â
âYou mustnât have eaten anything yet since you came out so early. Have some milk first.â
Just as Serena was about to head to the kitchen, she heard him say, âNo need; Iâll wait for Bella.â
Serenaâs smile froze on her face, but she quickly said, âIf youâre waiting for my sister, why not take a
stroll in the garden instead of just sitting here? You havenât been here in a while. Weâve planted some
new varieties in the garden. See if thereâs anything Grandpa Phillip might like and take some back for
him.â
âNo need.â
âThe air in the garden is great; it can bring good vibes for the whole day. Itâs still early; Iâll accompany
you for a stroll.:
âIâd rather be alone.â
Romeoâs intention was clear, but Serena suddenly squatted down and gently touched his knee.
âRomeo, ever since my sister came back, youâve been colder towards me.â Before she could finish,
Romeo shifted uncomfortably and said, âPlease behave yourself.â
Serenaâs hand fell empty; her heart ached. âI know you like Arabella, but it wouldnât hurt to talk to me!
Sheâs so broadâminded, she wouldnât mind. Besides, weâre not doing anything, just chatting.â
In other words, if Arabella minded them chatting, it would mean she was petty and narrowâminded.
Seeing her trying to get close again, Romeoâs gaze turned icy. âBut I do mind, Miss Lisa; please
respect yourself.â
Seeing that he didnât want to have anything to do with her, Serena looked at Martha in the distance.
Martha gave her a hint with her eyes, and Serena touched his leg again. This time, Romeo immediately
stood up, looking down at her and saying, âEnough.â
