Chapter 172
The Princess and the Paupers Novel Full Episode
Although Zachary wasnât really into this bad boy from the getâgo, he extended a hand out of politeness
because he was Yoliâs classmate.
But to his surprise, Wilson didnât reciprocate. Instead, he raised his voice and announced, âListen up,
everyone; Yoliâs fiancéee is footing the bill. Pick whatever you want to eat or drink!â
Upon hearing this, his cronies immediately started ordering the most expensive dishes.
âWilson.â Yolanda stepped forward, hoping he would tone it down a bit.
But Wilson looked at her with an incredibly sleazy grin and said, âOh, youâre on a firstâname basis with
me now?â
Zachary found their interaction odd. Just then, Sophie stepped in to defuse the situation: âWilson, this
feast is to celebrate Yoliâs secondâplace victory in the piano competition. So letâs raise our glasses and
toast to Yoli, shall we?â
She shoved a wine glass into Wilsonâs hand, hinting at him not to cause trouble and even instructed
others not to order expensive dishes. The whole class then raised their glasses in a cheer.
However, under Wilsonâs command, nobody dared disobey. Even though they refrained from ordering
expensive dishes, they ordered plenty of pricey drinks.
âSo youâre Yoliâs fiancée, huh? Seeing as Yoli performed so well in the competition, shouldnât you have
a few more drinks?â Wilson downed his drink in one gulp, waiting for Zacharyâs response.
âZachary.â Yolanda instantly regretted it, as she knew Wilson was a man who never spared anyoneâs
feelings.
Zachary picked up a glass, gestured in a gentlemanly manner, and downed the drink. In comparison,
he seemed much more refined and cultured than Wilson, earning him unabashed admiration and
adoration from the other girls.
Wilson continued to drink, and Zachary, not to be outdone, matched him glass for glass. His mood was
down because he had just run into Arabella, so the drinks served as a good distraction.
Wilson then picked up the whole bottle and started drinking directly from it.
Just as Zachary was about to join him, Yolanda grabbed his arm and said, âZachary, thatâs enough. Iâve
received your congratulations. Donât drink anymore. How are we supposed to get home if youâre
drunk?â
âWhat kind of man doesnât drink?â Wilson looked at Zachary provocatively and said, âTo make this party
more fun, Iâve invited some people.â
With a clap of his hands, seven or eight women walked in. They were all dolled up, and obviously they
were the local courtesans.
âWilson! You finally let us in! Weâve been waiting so long that our legs are numb. You need to give us a
massage!â Several women fawned over Wilson.
Wilson waved them away, saying, âI have a friend whoâs engaged. I invited you here today to âtestâ her
fiancée.â
âOh, the handsome young man over here? I wonder what kind of girls heâs into. The passionate type or
the gentle type?â
The women quickly surrounded him.
âWilson, donât push it!â Sophie immediately protested.
Yolanda held onto Zacharyâs arm tightly and said, âStay away from my fiancée.â
âI need to use the restroom.â Zachary had been tolerating Wilsonâs behavior for a while. Years of a
good upbringing helped him maintain his composure.
Seeing Zachary leave, Wilson sneered, âHeâs got such a short fuse?â
A few of his lackeys started laughing.
Yolanda glared at Wilson and was about to leave when Wilson grabbed her hand.
In the restroom, Zachary washed his face, thinking to himself that Yoliâs friends were no good. Rather
than wasting time here, heâd rather leave early.
As he was thinking, he overheard a few girls chatting while washing their hands.
âI really donât get it. How could the son of Golden Cityâs richest man be interested in a girl like
Yolanda?â
