Chapter 1006

Maja hugged lan from behind, her head resting against his back due to the height difference between them.

She didn’t utter a word; just held him like that.

lan looked down at the hands entwined around his waist. He lifted his hand to touch hers, only to realize the

softness of her touch was no dream.

“Are you drunk?” he asked, suspecting the late kick of the cocktail had affected her.

Maja only held him tighter.

For a moment, lan felt as if the world had quieted down, leaving only their heartbeats audible.

Lowering his eyelashes, he turned around and pushed her against the wall. Before Maja could react, he was kissing

her.

His hand held hers, placing it on his suit button. As he kissed her, he guided her towards the elevator.

The elevator was empty. The top floor of the BlueSky Bar housed lan’s room, a place they had visited before.

Had he not been concerned about the elevator cameras, he would have undressed her right there.

Once they were out of the elevator, he swept her into his arms and strode towards his room.

Maja was dazed from his kisses, only vaguely aware of the urgency in his steps as he kicked open the door to his

room.

Once the door closed behind them, he expertly undressed her, guiding her to help him out of his suit.

After the first round, Maja laid her head on his chest, to which he softly asked, “Are you sober now?” She wasn’t

drunk, she just wanted him.

So, she gathered all her strength to lift her head and kiss his neck.

lan dodged her advance, holding her chin to study her face closely.

“Maja, are you mistaking me for someone else? Why else would you be this passionate?”

“lan,” she called out his name, attempting to kiss him again.

lan’s breath hitched, the heat of desire burning within him. He evaded her kiss, his cool voice turning slightly

hoarse, “As long as you know it’s me.” With that, his gaze returned to her, something explosive seeming to ignite in

his eyes. His breath wavered. The cocktail’s late kick was strong indeed. Maja had thought she was sober, but now

her vision was blurring..

“lan.”

“Yes?”

“F*** me.”

She didn’t fully comprehend what she had just said, again lifting her face to kiss him.

The next moment, her world spun around, leaving her speechless.

His force was so intense as if he wanted to shatter her.

The next morning, as the sunlight poured into the room, Maja was still asleep.

lan propped his head on his hand, watching her as if he could never get enough.

After a while, he intertwined his fingers with hers, took a photo, and posted it on Facebook.

[Meet my girlfriend.]

He didn’t mention Maja’s name, but those close to him knew it was her. Only Maja had that short haircut, a slight

glimpse of which was visible in the picture. He had done it purposely.

Without saying much, he made it clear that Maja was his girlfriend.

Tyler was the first one to comment.

[Short hair? Must be her, right? Congrats on the reconciliation, bro.]

Fitch was the second commenter, merely leaving a series of ellipses.

Ryan, on the other hand, wrote a lengthy comment.

[You know. I hid in the bathroom all night! Didn’t I ask Penny to send me a message? Did she forget, or were you

just too eager? Anyway, congrats.]

lan immediately transferred a million dollars to Ryan as a reward, prompting a flurry of compliments from him.

lan smiled, amused.

His Facebook was rarely updated, and didn’t have many friends, but this post received likes and comments from

almost everyone. Those who didn’t know Maja kept guessing who the girl was.

He didn’t say anything; just turned off the screen and held Maja tighter.

Maja mumbled in her sleep, “lan, not so tight.”

Hearing her call his name even in her dreams, lan felt a sense of relief. He couldn’t help but peck her face a few

times.

His phone rang. It was Fitch.

“I hate to interrupt your sweet dreams, but we’ve got a lead on Holden. He’s abroad. We’re leaving in two hours.

Get ready and come over.”

They had been waiting for Holden to give them a sign, without which they couldn’t track the group’s whereabouts.

Now that they had a clue, lan quickly got out of bed.
