Chapter 1010
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 1010
Eric remained silent. The corner where he stood was filled with a heavy quietude.
The manâs stern features became even more evident.
âLast time, I covered for her by picking up a call from your brother lan. Trust me, if I have to keep doing this, he
wonât need any prompting from me to start investigating who Patric is. Itâs just that currently, heâs tied up with
some issues regarding Holden and doesnât have the time.â
The manâs fist rested against the mirror, his tone shifting into a soft lure.
âSpeaking of which, perhaps itâs due to your influence, but Iâve come to find Maja quite appealing.â
âIâve had her send the stuff to you.â
âWouldâve been easier if you did this earlier. I wouldnât have had to risk taking lanâs call and almost revealing our
whereabouts.â
A smug grin spread across the manâs face.
Eric had a gentle demeanor, and whenever he spoke to someone, it was always with kindness. Anyone who met
him would never forget his face. Thatâs why, during their first encounter, Maja was completely awestruck by him.
It was for this reason that she insisted on meeting him during lanâs gambling agreement. Only by seeing him in
person would she be able to truly let go.
âEric, Iâm entrusting her to you. Donât pull any tricks. You know I donât consider the consequences. If I sense
something wrong, I wonât hesitate to take this woman for myself.â
The conversation faded away.
Maja slept uneasily in her dreams, abruptly jolted awake by lanâs voice.
âWeâve made it official. Iâve already announced it publicly. Youâre not allowed to back out.â.
âUh huh, okay.â
Her head ached, but she remembered these words that lan had said while she was drifting to sleep.
She was too tired then and just wanted to end the conversation.
Right, lan had mentioned that they were officially together.
Probably because she remembered this, she started smiling in her dreams, completely oblivious to her current
predicament.
When she woke up, she found herself under an unfamiliar ceiling. She frowned, noticing her phone on the bedside
table with several missed calls from lan.
She immediately reached for her phone but froze when she saw the numerous marks littered across her arms.
They traced from her shoulder to her palm.
-These werenât leftâby Jan. Although lan was fond of leaving marks, they were usually around her neck.
He loved kissing her neck, collarbone, and earlobes, whispering her name over and over.
Majaâs face turned pale as she hastily threw off the covers and tried to get out of bed, only to find herself
completely naked.
Marks continued down her legs to her feet. She wasnât a fool. Having had many encounters with lan, she knew
exactly what this meant.
Her head started to throb as she quickly reassured herself that it was just her imagination. It wasnât possible.
She got out of bed, but her body felt weak and sore.
Forcing herself to the bathroom, she found that the marks on her neck were now covered with a new layer,
obscuring lanâs marks.
She immediately turned on the faucet, washing her face vigorously, trying to recall what had happened before she
passed out.
She had noticed something off about Patric, as if another person was hiding beneath his skin.
Could it be Patricâs twin brother?
No, that was impossible. Even twins wouldnât look this alike. It had to be Patric.
Had she slept with Patric?
This realization sent her spiraling into despair.
She quickly took a shower and returned to the bedside, where her phone was ringing again.
Only then did Maja notice the time. She had been asleep for two days.
Which meant that from the time she passed out until now, she had been entangled with a man in bed for two days.
Her fingers started trembling as she saw another call from lan.
She rubbed her face and quickly picked it up, hearing his voice on the other end.
âWhat are you doing? Youâve been working for two days, arenât you tired?â
His voice was still full of satisfaction. He had found a quiet place to ask her.
âDid you check my Facebook?â
Maja hadnât checked, nor did she know that he had posted on Facebook.
All she wanted to do was cry now, holding her phone as tears rolled down her cheeks.
But she covered her mouth, not letting him hear her sobs.
lan didnât hear anything either. He kept talking before noticing her silence.
âMaja?â
He called out to her in a low voice, which became colder.
âYouâre not thinking of telling me this was all just a game again, are you?â
