“Miss, are you attending the soiree tomorrow?”

Tomorrow was the birthday of Fitch, the Haskins family heir. Every year, the Haskins family hosted a grand party.

Judith had received the invitation, so she’s definitely going.

She slowly propped herself up and picked up the invitation on the table, her lips curling slightly.

“Ian is probably bringing that woman, isn’t he? Arrange for Clara and Drew to attend tomorrow and let them get a

taste of the grandeur. Once they’ve seen the luxury, they’ll probably want to cling to Maja even more. Let those two

ruin the party, then the news of them being Maja’s parents will spread, and Maja will surely be embarrassed.”

Judith chuckled, tapping a finger on Wind’s forehead.

“Prepare my gown, the most beautiful one.”

Wind immediately half–knelt, gently massaging her leg.

“It’s already prepared, Miss. You’ll surely be the belle of the ball.”

Judith chuckled again, then sighed.

“Also, tell Beck to pick me up tomorrow night. I want to make an entrance with him.”

Beck arrived in Greenfield before her. With his playboy personality, he’s well–known in the Greenfield circle, having

made many friends and becoming a local celebrity.

With Beck by her side, they’ll surely be the center of attention.

“Alright, I’ll inform Beck right away.”

Judith yawned, kubbing her eyes, her tone a bit coquettish.

“Wind, can you ask my big brother to come visit me in Greenfield soon? I’ve nearly fainted from frustration

recently, and he’ll definitely be worried if he finds out. I need to let him know how much I’m suffering here.”

“Miss, if he finds out, Greenfield will be in chaos.”

She pouted, lying down on the sofa again.;

When Maja returned to Rosewood Manor that night, it was midnight.

After the episode during the day, she was out of sorts the entire afternoon.

She had planned to stay late at the office, but Ryan reminded her about Fitch’s birthday party.

Now, sitting in her living room, lan was nowhere to be found. He hadn’t messaged her in days, and they were in a

strange cold war.

Maja felt a bit upset. She checked her phone and saw that she had already sent him ten messages.

Asking if he had eaten breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

As well as asking what he was doing, but lan didn’t reply to any of them.

a month ago, but they were already in a cold

She glanced at the time on her phone and decided to call him.

The phone rang for a long time before he answered.

“What’s up?”

lan’s tone was flat as if talking to a stranger.

“Fitch’s birthday party, are we going together?”

lan was silent for a few minutes before he said quietly, “I believe I mentioned this a few days ago.”

Maja’s heart skipped a beat, and she quickly corrected herself, “What I mean is, when should we meet? Should I

come to Greenfield Gardens, or you come to

Rosewood Manor?”

“Maja, I don’t need you to make time for me out of your busy schedule.”

“No, I.” Before Maja could explain, he had already hung up.

She leaned back on the sofa, deflated. She suddenly remembered that he had mentioned meeting at Greenfield

Gardens at six in the evening.

She had completely forgotten about it just now because her mind was filled with too many things.

She had wanted to share her day at the office with him about Clara and Drew, but lan didn’t give her the chance.
