Maja stirred her coffee, deep in thought. She knew that Barton, with his good looks and academic prowess, must be

popular at school. But his demeanor was so similar to Coral’s, it was as if he was trying to mimic her. Coral was

somewhat aloof, and as a writer, she tended to get lost in her own world, rarely connecting with others
