Antonia was secretly thrilled, feeling as if she had outwitted Maja. She was so excited that she wanted to brag about

her victory to someone immediately.

But then she worried that Maja might not help her again.

So, she had to keep a lid on her feelings for now. Once Peter returned to their family, she would send Maja and the

Star Movie Group straight to hell!

Maja had genuinely wanted to strike a deal with Antonia, but she hadn’t expected Antonia to pull a fast one on her.

Maja had her people look into Daisy’s whereabouts that day and learned that Daisy was heading to the hospital for

a check–up on her pregnancy.

Peter, meanwhile, was on his way to see Antonia. It seemed he was growing tired of Daisy and wanted to patch

things up with Antonia for a while.

Maja immediately drove to the hospital where Daisy was. She had just entered the corridor when she heard Daisy

shouting.

“Can’t you behave for once? Don’t you think I’ve been humiliated enough?! Your dad has gone back to that woman.

What am I supposed to do!”

She was yelling at her own son, and crying as she did so.

The child was only five years old, and although he was usually mischievous, seeing his mother so distraught

frightened him. He sat quietly by her side, not daring to speak.

Daisy was a public figure. She wore a hat and a mask, fearful of being recognized.

Maja sat down next to her and glanced at her belly. “Are you here for a prenatal check–up? Where’s your

husband?”

Daisy was afraid Maja knew about her extramarital affair, which would tarnish her image. Maja was an investor, and

if she had a poor impression of Daisy, her chances of acting would decrease.

“He’s busy.”

“Is it Peter’s kid? He’s supposed to be with his wife today.”

Daisy froze, staring at Maja in disbelief.

Her lips quivered, and for a moment, she didn’t know how to respond.

Maja continued, “I heard your argument in the dressing room yesterday. I was outside on a call. Peter has been

mistreated by you and naturally wanted to confide in Antonia, who is a pushover in front of him. But between you

and Peter, you’re the dominant one.”

Daisy’s emotions crumbled.

“Do you think I wanted this? I gave him a son. And I’m carrying another one! Yet he won’t even let me be known to

the public. I retreated for a year at the peak of my career. God knows how much money I lost. Men are so

unreliable. If I had known this, I would have aborted the child after he slept with me!” Daisy clenched her fists, “I

just can’t accept it. I have been with him for so many years, and I couldn’t even be his wife! How am I inferior to

Antonia?” Maja looked at the twisted expression on Daisy’s face, her tone indifferent.

“Peter will never marry you. He’s a somewhat popular agent now. If news of him abandoning his wife and kid

spreads, he’ll be blacklisted in the circle. Antonia has a daughter with autism. Netizens will always side with the

underdog. Peter is well aware of this, so he didn’t dare to actually divorce. As for his talk of divorce, he’s just fooling

with you.”
