lan’s hand was all bandaged up, and as soon as he stepped into the Raymond Group building, he

bumped into Dana Shepard.

Dana wasn’t her usual rude self, just looking at his hand with a worried expression.

“Mr. Raymond, why did your hand hurt?”

lan just frowned and only replied, “Got hurt.”

He didn’t say much else, just walked into his office

Dana looked a bit miffed, and then a receptionist tried to follow him into his office.

Dana immediately stopped her

“Do you have an appointment? You can’t just go in in here”

The receptionist was quite beautiful. If you can work as a receptionist at the Raymond Group, you must

have outstanding looks.“Ms. Shepard, someone sent a gift for the boss. I came to deliver it.” Dana’s

face turned even sourer as she snatched the gift from the receptionist.

“I’ll deliver it. You go do your job.

The comment was quite rude, but Dana always walked around the Raymond Group like she owned the

place, and no one dared to talk back.

When the big shots passed by the reception desk, they always greeted the receptionist warmly.

Only Dana, an ordinary employee, looked very proud every time. The employee at the front desk was

offended but only said one thing.

“It was sent by the boss’s designer, claiming to compensate for the loss at the hotel last night.”

“Mr. Raymond, this is a gift from Ms. Penny. She said it was to compensate for last night’s incident at

the hotel.”

She deliberately made her statement sound suggestive, hoping to stir up lan’s dislike for Penny.

lan frowned and took the gift box. Inside was a pair of beautiful cufflinks. They weren’t cheap.

She was drowning in debt and yet she still bought this.

lan tossed the cufflinks aside, clearly not impressed.

“Mr. Raymond, did you and she really…”

“It’s work hours. If you can’t keep your personal life separate, maybe you should consider resigning.”

Dana was quivering with

rage.

She clenched her teeth and left. As soon as the door closed behind her, her face twisted in anger.

That annoying woman!

lan worked on some files for a while, then glanced at the cufflinks. He picked them up with a cold

expression and tossed them into a drawer.

Just then, his phone buzzed. It was a message from Maja.

[Mr. Raymond, did you receive the gift?]

lan didn’t reply.

Maja didn’t expect him to. She turned off her phone and poured some water for Neil who was laying in

bed

Neil looked terrible. He knocked over the cup of water Maja brought over.

“Can you explain why you didn’t attend the Raymond family banquet? You said you got off on the way

there because you saw Leo. Are you still in touch with him?!*

The last time Maja admitted she still had contact with Daly, Neil was already pretty upset.

Now he found out Maja missed the Raymond family banquet for such a reason, he was shaking with

anger
