Chapter 1379
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Maja gazed at the ring on her finger, a glint of silver in the dim light.
âSometimes, I feel like Iâm not normal. Canât quite put my finger on it, but I feel this panic, like thereâs so
much I want to say but canât quite catch. I remember everything weâve been through, but my inner
world feels like still water, no ripples.â
Her fingers twitched slightly as she spoke, âItâs only when I see this ring that something feels different.
Canât say what exactly.â
Ian took a deep breath and pulled her into a tight embrace.
âMaja.â
After a moment, she asked, âYouâre still taking me to see Dr. Herrington tomorrow, right?â
What a mood killer.
âYeah, I am. So get some sleep now.â
Only then did Maja breathe a sigh of relief and drift off to a peaceful sleep.
Ian watched her face, kissing it over and over, never feeling it was enough.
After a while, he smiled to himself.
In this moment, he was vividly aware that Maja truly loved him.
Her love was in no way less than his.
Itâs just that neither of them were good at expressing it.
î
What came next, he was about to do something heâd regret, something for which he had no other
choice.
In the morning, Maja woke up and immediately started trying on outfits in front of the mirror.
Ian just sat on the edge of the bed watching her fuss.
After three outfits, none satisfied her. She felt she needed to look better for Dr. Herrington.
Ian didnât rush her, but when she went to change again, he asked softly, âYou care that much about
him?â
Maja frowned, âI canât explain it, but I feel like heâs a good person, someone I can trust, someone who
gives me a sense of safety.â
Ian leaned on the bedpost, beckoning her with a curled finger, âCome here.â
With a new outfit in hand, she approached the bed, âWhat is it?â
âMaja, listen. Iâm seething with jealousy, but I know itâs not your fault so I donât want to make this hard
on you.â
She nodded seriously, âCan I keep trying on clothes then?â
Ian took a deep breath and pinned her down on the bed.
âWeâve got an appointment with him at noon, still four hours to go. Letâs do something else first.â
Maja came out from under him once, breathless, her neck marked with his passion.
When she looked at him with those damp eyes, he couldnât resist, and they went for another round in
front of the mirror.
î
âNo need to change outfits anymore, you look stunning. If you keep changing, you wonât see Dr.
Herrington today.â
She immediately begged for mercy, âIâll wear this one, I wonât change again.â
Pleased, Ian brushed her sweaty hair behind her ear, âGood choice. Wearing that while being with me,
and then going to see your Dr. Herrington. Maja, youâre getting quite the flair for this.â
âDonât talk nonsense.â
He let her go, his lips curving slightly, âGo take a shower, weâll leave after.â
She went to the bathroom.
After she showered and came out, Ian was already dressed and waiting.
She put on the same outfit, remembering his words, and felt her cheeks warm.
Ian wrapped an arm around her, âReady to see Dr. Herrington? Are you happy?â
She nodded, unable to control the emotions in her heart, feeling like a weary bird returning home, with
a profound sense of peace.
âAfter meeting Dr. Herrington, will you come back?â he asked.
âIan, you can stay there with me.â
He nodded earnestly, âThatâs not a bad idea.â
Maja didnât realize he was just agreeing with everything she said.
âMaja.â
î
âHmm?â
âDo we really have to see him?â
She felt a sudden displeasure, a hint of sadness, âDidnât you promise me? Are you thinking of backing
out?â
âNo, I just wanted to be sure. Open the door.â
Maja nodded and pulled open the grand double doors of their seventh-floor apartment.
Outside, twenty meters away, Nydia held a gun, firing without hesitation.
Maja hadnât even processed what was happening when she felt a spray of blood on her face. Looking
down, she saw Ianâs chest bleeding.Books Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All

Between the two staircases, one on their side and one near Nydia, was a vast open space.
Maja heard the gunshot, felt the blood, and saw Ian raise his hand to wipe the blood from her cheek.
But his hand only got halfway before he fell backwards, tumbling down the stairs.
Stunned, Maja watched the scene unfold, then looked up to see Nydia slowly holstering her still-
smoking gun.
Her blood ran cold.
She wanted to scream, but no sound would come.
î
Something held her, tightening its grip, but the panic of losing Ian was like a wild beast thrashing
against its cage.
Even the tightest bonds turned to dust, scattered to the winds.
âAh!!!â
The beast finally broke free.
She ran downstairs, tripping halfway down.
