“There’s nothing major to worry about, but Miss, you need to take care of yourself. You’re pregnant.”

you decide to keep the baby, you must start taking vitamins and folic acid immediately. If not, you

should schedule the procedure soon; it’s less risky the earlier you do it.” The room was thick with

unsaid words when Beck abruptly grabbed the doctor’s hand, his voice tight with desperation. “Doc,

please check again. There must be a mistake. She’s too young for this. Have another look, please. She
