Dana didn’t explicitly aim her accusations at Maja, so Maja naturally assumed they weren’t about her

and breezed past Dana without a hitch.

Dana thought she had made her point crystal clear, yet Maja just brushed her off?

That bitch!

Dana stormed off, only to see Maja knocking on lan’s office door.

lan’s voice came from within.

“Come in.”

Maja went in, blocking Dana who was eager to confront her.

In her haste, Dana almost smacked her nose on the closing door. She stepped back, steadying herself

after the scare.

She was so livid. She was practically grinding her teeth. Her eyes were glued to the office door, she

scoffed sarcastically. It seemed that she had to get Carlene’s help again.

She cornered herself and dialed Carlene’s number.

Carlene picked up swiftly, her tone gentle.

“Dana, what’s happened now? Is lan giving you a hard time at work again?”

“It’s that designer I mentioned before. She showed up at The Raymond Corporation again today to see

lan. And, I forgot to tell you last time, she even followed him to his hotel and bought him cufflinks worth

two hundred grand. If you don’t come back soon, I’m worried he might be swept off his feet.”

Carlene frowned.

“What does she look like?”

“Her face screams sly fox.”

Carlene felt uneasy. She and lan had been at odds for so long, although it was time to bury the hatchet,

but if a pretty woman showed up by his side now, would he be tempted?

But then she remembered that lan once told her he would never be interested in other women, and felt

a little relieved.

lan had been scandal–free all these years, even though he’s married, his wife was merely a trophy. He

hadn’t so much as laid a finger on his so–called wife.

How could such a man easily fall for another woman?

However, she was still somewhat concerned about what Dana said:

“Dana, I’ll have the cufflinks sent over immediately. You hand them over to lan right away. I’ll arrange

for the courier to get there within 10 minutes. Do you remember what the cufflinks the designer bought

looked like?”

Dana vividly remembered the cufflinks and told Carlene the brand.

Carlene acted swiftly and ten minutes later, someone called Dana to collect the item.

Eager to embarrass Maja, Dana practically ran to get it.

Inside the office, Maja was diligently handing over all the documents to lan for review.

lan glanced over them and then signed off.

“Mr. Raymond, aren’t you going to inspect the site?”

Owners usually visit on the first day of construction.

lan’s expression was unchanged, “No need.”

“The construction team is Silverstone Enterprises, I’ve already signed a contract with them, they can

start building immediately. If Mr. Raymond doesn’t have any objections to the materials, then I can

leave now. I’ll gradually supply the rest of the furniture

materials.”

“Okay.”

lan was staring at his computer intently, but inwardly he was far from calm.

It rained all night yesterday, and he unexpectedly suffered from insomnia.

His sleep quality was usually good, except when pulling all–nighters for work, he could fall asleep

quickly and had a regular sleep schedule.

But for some reason, he felt that the maid from last night seemed very familiar, reminding him of Penny.

Especially that breath.lan admitted that he had had a fair amount of close encounters with Maja, all

accidental, but he was familiar with her scent.

It was a very mild fragrance, she didn’t like perfume, the smell on her was mostly the freshness of

shampoo.

But how could Penny possibly appear at Rosewood Manor?

He started to question whether he had been around her too much lately, causing some sort of illusion.

Apparently, he needed to put some distance between them.

He kept his gaze lowered, not looking towards her.
