In his peripheral vision, she was picking up the papers on the desk, organizing them one by one.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, followed by Dana’s voice.

“Mr. Raymond.”

“Come in.”

His full attention was on his computer.

Dana glanced at Maja, her lips curving slightly upward, as she walked over.

“I just got a call from Carlene. She said she got you a gift and had it express delivered. Here you go,

Mr. Raymond.”

To unsettle Maja, Dana deliberately undid the cufflink on her sleeve.

“She asked if you liked it. If not, the delivery guy is still downstairs, you can exchange it for another

style.”

Maja instantly recognized it as the cufflink she had given lan.

When she bought the cufflink, she was filled with guilt and spent a lot of time choosing it, so it was

deeply imprinted in her memory.

She now understood Carlene’s intentions.

But this seemed a bit much, and her attention to lan was overly intense.

“lan, did you get the gift?”

“Do you like it? I took a long time choosing it. I think it suits you.”

“Not bad.”

lan was a man of few words, and his clothes were always matched by a stylist, so he didn’t need to

worry about such things.

A smile curved Carlene’s eyes as she thought of Maja in the office, and deliberately softened her tone.

“I’m glad you like it. Can you wear it in the future? I want to see you wearing it.”

lan didn’t think much of it and hummed in agreement.

His answer satisfied Carlene immensely. Maja was present but did not seem embarrassed. It seemed

Maja’s worries were unfounded.

This was shameless. Everyone in town knew that lan was Carlene’s man. Even his wife in name had to

avoid her.

She had been biting her tongue for three years. What right did this designer have to interfere?

She sneered inwardly, but her tone became even softer.

“I won’t disturb you at work then. I’ll be back soon, remember to pick me up at the airport, okay?”

lan agreed again.

After hanging up the phone, he was about to put the cufflink into a drawer, but when he opened it, he

saw a package exactly like

He suddenly remembered that Maja seemed to have given him one before.
