Chapter 179

After pointing lan in the right direction, Maja didn’t want to trouble him, so she kept distance from him

as much as possible while standing.

When they got into the elevator together, she felt like she was going to keel over, so she leaned against

the ice–cold wall.

lan held onto her tight, not making any unnecessary moves.

The elevator stopped on the fifth floor, Maja started fumbling for her keys in her bag, but her vision was

all blurry, although she tried for a long time, she could not insert the key into the lock.

lan was up a creek without a paddle, so he had to help her open the door.

Once the door swung open, he couldn’t help but take notice of the state of the room. It was spotless,

but there were no men’s shoes at the door, just a few pairs of women’s slippers.

He gave Maja a puzzled look.

There was a dog barking in the house, and Coco was already excited when heard the sound of the key,

and he ran over quickly. When he saw lan, his tail wagged so hard it looked like it was about to fall off.

lan looked a bit pissed off, but he didn’t say anything. After all, this wasn’t his first rodeo with this pup.

“Mr. Raymond, you can just plop me down on the couch, thanks.”

Running a fever, Maja didn’t pay attention to Coco.

Coco barked a few times, but didn’t get a response. He wasn’t down in the dumps though, instead, he

kept his eyes glued to lan.

He seemed to be head over heels for lan and Taid right next to him.

Seeing his enthusiasm, lan couldn’t help but crack a smile.

He placed Maja on the couch, as soon as she hit the couch, she flopped over, looking like she was

under the weather.

lan wanted to lend a hand, but seeing the couch was soft and wouldn’t hurt her, he stopped in his

tracks.

The room had a cozy layout, but there was no trace of a man living there.

Did she split up with her husband?

Or did she move in such a hurry that she didn’t have time to bring her husband’s stuff?

But either way, there shouldn’t be only women’s shoes at the door.

“Woof woof woof!”

At this point, Coco barked a few times, circling around lan and nuzzling his leg.

Looking at the obvious dog hair on the suit pants, lan frowned directly. He stood up to leave, but Coco

stood in front of him and screamed anxiously. This racket woke Maja up. She groggily opened her eyes

and saw Coco nuzzling lan’s leg, she freaked out and sat up.

“Coco!”

She scolded Coco, who seemed to realize he messed up and tucked his tail between his legs and

skulked off to a corner.

lan looked a bit ticked off and his tone was frosty.

“I gotta go.”

Maja wanted to see him off, but seeing Coco following him again, she felt a bit helpless.

“Woof woof woof!”

lan’s trouser leg was caught by Coco. Realizing that there might be dog slobber on his trousers, his

expression darkened.

By this time Maja was wide awake, she got up and picked up Coco.

For some reason, Coco was really into lan. Every time he ran out of the house, he would bump into lan.

“Mr. Raymond, I’m really sorry.”

Maja looked at the slightly damp part of his high–end trousers and felt uneasy. Worse yet, lan was

allergic to dog hair, he must be feeling really uncomfortable by now.

lan didn’t speak.

He gave Maja a deep look, and when he saw the weak expression on her face, he quickly looked away.

“You should rest after taking your medicine, don’t do this again.” His tone was emotionless, it was clear

that he wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

“Alright, thank you, Mr. Raymond.”

lan barely looked back, but when he just opened the door, he saw a person standing outside who was

about to knock on the door. It was Rita.

Seeing his face, a look of shock flashed in Rita’s eyes and she quickly backed up a few steps.

“Mr. Raymond?”
