Chapter 180
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 180
lan had seen Rita before, he knew she worked at the Raymond Corporation, so he just gave her a
slight nod.
Rita clapped a hand to her mouth in surprise, glancing inside before looking back at lan.
Wasnât Penny already hitched? Her hubby couldnât possibly be lan, otherwise Ryan should be telling
her, instead of telling her Maja was his friend.
But it was nighttime now, and Mr. Raymond was coming out of Pennyâs room.
Everybody at the Raymond Corporation knew that Mr. Raymond was a chilly character, not much of a
talker. He wouldnât be meeting women privately, even if Penny was his interior designer. If they needed
to discuss house stuff, they should be meeting at the Raymond Corporation office.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through Ritaâs mind, and she remembered that painting Maja had done.
She had thought it was just a doodle by Maja, but now it seemed like there might be some connection
between the painting and Mr. Raymond.
That could also explain why young Penny ended up as Mr. Raymondâs interior designer.
So Maja had used some underhanded methods to get this job.
Rita didnât have much respect for women like that. She felt a bit uncomfortable, but with lan standing in
front of her, she didnât dare show any emotions and just hoped she could get back to her room as fast
as possible.
lan glanced in the direction she came from. Were they neighbors?
âPennyâs running a fever, but thereâs no one to take care of her right now. Can you take care of her?â
His tone was cold, and he had already walked to the elevator at this moment. Rita thought for a
moment, but couldnât help saying, âMr. Raymond, Iâm Ryanâs girlfriend. Ryan told me Penny is already
married, her husband should be coming home to take care of her. But heâs always so busy, out early
and back late.â
Rita didnât know why she was saying all this.
She thought she was already lucky enough to be with Ryan, considering she was just a receptionist,
She never expected a married woman like Penny would catch lanâs attention.
How many women in this city would like to marry him? She probably couldnât even count them all.
Rita hung her head, maybe she was just jealous. How could a married woman be good enough for lan?
Mr. Raymond was a highâroller, meeting him here was already like him slumming it.
âAll women are jealous.â Rita thought she wouldnât be jealous of anyone because she was lucky
enough.
But compared to lan, Ryan was definitely worse.
Although it was Ryan she liked, it was true. Ian was already in the elevator, hearing Ritaâs words, so
there was indeed a man of the house at Pennyâs.
He hadnât seen any menâs shoes, maybe she hadnât released them yet.
He pushed the button for the first floor, not saying anything else.
Once he had left, Rita stood frozen in place, suddenly filled with regret.
Why did she have to say all that? After all, Penny had helped her out with her thing with Ryan.
Even though she hadnât seen Ms. Raymond tonight, because Ryan had called her back halfway
through, Penny had indeed given her Ms. Raymondâs room number.
Wanting to make up for her mistake, Rita went to Majaâs room and gave her some feverâreducing
medicine.
Maja was already lying on the couch, grateful when she saw Rita come in with medicine.
After she had taken the medicine, Rita covered her with a blanket.
âPenny, I left the water here. If you wake up in the middle of the night and feel unwell, just call me. You
know my number.â
Maja thanked her after hearing this.
After leaving the room, Rita got a call from Ryan. She couldnât wait to tell him about running into lan,
and she made sure to emphasize how she had taken care of Maja.
She hoped not only that Maja would appreciate her help, but also that Ryan would see how kind she
was.
Ryan was with Maureen when he answered the phone. Maureen didnât know who the girl on the other
end was, only catching, âPennyâs sick, she has a pretty bad fever.â
âRyan, letâs go see Penny.â
âMom, you need to stay in the hospital for observation. You canât just go anywhere you want.â
âWeâll go tomorrow morning. Come pick me up early, and weâll go to where she lives.â
Ryan was a bit uneasy, because Rita was Majaâs neighbor now, he was worried there might be
unnecessary trouble.
